March 23, 2009

Time is up! We’ll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, “Cool,” that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

lookbook172.jpg

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We’re not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don’t have to buy anything, you don’t even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here’s how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User’s Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I’ve given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I’m not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I’m looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER’S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :) GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

  1. Abigail Says:

My favorite, absolute favorite, is Maeve, and I would make a delicious sweater. Or maybe a hat/scarf/mitten set. Or maybe some socks. Or maybe a shawl. Really, I’d make anything with it!

  2. Meri Says:

I have four colorways that absolutely must come to my home on yarn. Four. And I know exactly what I’ll make with them:

Devin - a February Lady Sweater for my mother
Erin - socks for myself AND my mother
Maeve - a beautiful lacey scarf
Jack - more socks, for sure.

(and Ian and Grady want to be painted onto some superwash merino roving and spun into 3ply sock yarns)

  3. Bonnie Says:

Oooo - Sharon, so hard to choose! I would choose Jack. Since I have never knit anything for myself, lol, I would carve out time to knit myself a skimpy little spring/summer top with it, because it just looks like the perfect colors for the beach with a pair of cut off jean shorts.

  4. Priscilla Says:

Gorgeous yarn.. such fantastic colors. :P
    Love it all.

  5. Nicky Says:

Delicious - so hard to choose but Erin, for a beautiful lacy shawl. so so pretty.

  6. Trisha Says:

Oh, Sharon, what an impossible question. If I had to pick just one, today I would pick Maura. I would knit a giant shawl that I could wrap around myself, almost like a sleeping bag, (or maybe I would knit a sleeping bag) so that I could be surrounded by that wonderfull comforting colour. I would share it with my friends when they need a giant hug.

Or, I would chose Jack for socks. Or Erin for socks. Or… every single one of them for socks.

And in a perfect knitting world, the giant sleeping bag shawl would be knit in less than a week.

  7. lee Says:

oh, Kieran! Kieran wants to be a bright and happy sweater, with a matching lace shawl, socks & half-finger gloves…

  8. Helen Says:

    Kate- socks for me

But I also really want Devin, Jack and Grady. And Maura.

  9. kitkatknit Says:

Maeve me too. Crums that’s three of us so far. I’d love to have enough yardage in Maeve to weave a beautiful large blanket.

  10. Lynn Says:

All of them are gorgeous, but I would love to have a pair of socks knitted from Jack.

  11. Amy Says:

It’s tough choosing, but I think I like Niall or Claire best.

  12. Lily Says:

I love them all! That’s why it would be fabulous to win them all! If I had to choose just one I would choose Devin in the Elenya Alpaca base and knit a cozy gorgeous Diamonds and Pearls Shawl. It would be perect for this time of year when it’s still chilly but my thoughts have turned to spring!

  13. Janine Says:

MAEVE! Oh my goodness, Maeve would come home with me. Enough of her to make a simple raglan sweater with a v-neck and a kangaroo pocket in the front. I have a sweatshirt like that and I wear it pretty much every single day, November through March, and many other days in between. I’m sure my friends and family are close to staging a wardrobe intervention. But if I knit myself a Maeve sweater, then I could alternate. Wait…who am I kidding? I’d just wear Maeve every day and leave the sweatshirt in my closet. But that’s improvement, right?

  14. Laura Says:

I love Madigan, and I would make a beautiful warm cardigan that wraps like a shawl in the front!

  15. Of Rats and Jen Says:

Thank you for posting on Ravelry about this!

I’ve always loved blue, purple, and green together, and I love colors that are bright and sassy. Connor, with it’s combination of lime, sky, and lilac, really appeals to me.

If I had enough of it in a fingering or laceweight, I’ve love to knit a freeform shawl, so the colors can ripple and swirl over the surface.

  16. Amy Says:

Though your blues are lovely, I have been drawn to browns & reds & corals lately, so I am choosing Kate as my favorite. I think it would make a great cowl!

  17. Wendy Says:

Kieran- because it is bright and friery and fabulous!

Socks and dare I say- for me…

    Good luck to everyone:)

  18. Sarah Says:

I’m going to say Jack, because it’s so fresh and unique.

I would make a hip and unconventional baby garment with it!

  19. PJ Says:

I am in love with Grady. It needs to be a thick squooshy cowl and superclose to my face at all times!

  20. Valerie Says:

wow, lol I want them all. My favorites are Kieron, Jack & Maura. If I could only have 1 I guess I would pick Kieron, all that fiirey energy.

  21. Sheila Says:

Grady needs to come to my house.
It would be well loved and made into an awesome scarf!

  22. Kat Says:

I’d choose lovely Maeve, because the combination of lilac and chocolate brown are so unusual and appealing. I’d make a light cardigan, perfect for not-really-spring not-really-winter weather.

  23. Sarah Says:

Jack would become a warm scarf! I love the colors!

  24. Priscilla Says:

Okay.. my favorite color is Jack and I would make it a gift to one of my knitting WAHM sisters because I do not knit. :)

  25. Ellen Says:

Love the Maura… I can see it as a beautiful shawl……..

  26. Kelly Says:

It’s a tough choice, but I fell in love with Maura. The colors feel indulgent, but it’s still subtle, in a way. I would absolutely make a sweater with it, because I’ve never made a sweater before, and I’m dying to make one!

  27. Crystal Says:

I am in love with so many colourways that I feel a little risque. Maura wants to be an elegant understated lightweight scarf. Grady is destined to be a hat/scarf/mittens set. Maeve is begging to be socks for me, while Devin wants to be matching father/son socks. But Madigan has my heart; I want to make February Lady & Baby sweaters out of it, and socks, and wool longies, and hats, and scarves, and… yeah.

  28. Mia McDavid Says:

Oh, Clare, Clare, please, because it’s my shades of red and I love it! I would make a fabulous shawl to wrap myself in red!

  29. Mary Says:

Kate. It reminds me of sweet peas and sunny spring flowers. It would look so good as a little sweater for my red-headed niece. Or as socks for me or to give to a friend. The color is just so happy that I think it would give me happy feet to dance in. Oh, there’s another idea–I could make those heel-less and toe-less socks that I could wear for belly dancing. Dancing in my bare feet makes my feet hurt, and there’s still a chill in the floors…..

  30. Debbie Says:

    Maeve…swoon…oh, Maeve…you are so beautiful!

I would make you into a lovely scarf and wear you every single day!

  31. Linda Says:

Oh, definitely Erin. And I would make a set of scarf and mitts for my mother, who has recently moved from California to the much colder state of Idaho.

  32. davina Says:

So hard to choose just one… but going to go with Kate. And I would make myself a bag from it. A smallish, slightly felted bag with fabric lining and a strap long enough to cross my chest. Yup.

  33. Rachel Says:

Maeve and Devin are my favorites. Maeve would be sent to someone else to make me socks since I can’t stand knitting them myself- and Devin would be a to die for February Lady. I don’t even care that I already have a green FLS!

  34. Lorette Says:

Kieran for me, too. I love that fire-red color. I’d get enough in the BFL to make a sweater. Maybe Coraline, since I keep talking about that one.

  35. katy Says:

So hard to choose! But from the moment I saw Maura, she has intrigued me. Those colors just look so *good* together, and so sophisticated! I think I’d make my first shawl out of it so I could be wrapped all up in its gorgeousness!

  36. Jessica Says:

Maguire. I could see making a February Lady Sweater from it. I’m in a big teal phase.

  37. Jen Says:

The good news is that I already have the answer to this question…as long as I’m allowed to give 2 answers (and no, one of those answers isn’t “all of them,” although that could easily be true). But already coming home to me are:

Jack - I fell in love with the greens, but the yellow/orange/brown took me aback at first…and then I realized how much I loved all of those colors together. Jack will make a wonderful pullover for my son, once I find (or design) an appropriately wonderful pattern.

Kate - the pinks and browns are beautiful, but it’s that light lime green that makes it so much fun! Kate will be a cardigan (http://www.classiceliteyarns.com/WebLetter/81/Issue81.php) for my daughter.

Someday, I’ll figure out what I’m getting for ME…

  38. Carol Roberts Says:

I would love to take the colorway Jan home. What a knockout color combo, with that suprising warm tan mixed with blue. I can’t tell what weight yarn this is, so it’s hard to know what I’d make. Perhaps socks.

  39. Paty Says:

The one that caught my eye right away is Kate what a gorgeous combination of colors! With a majority of boys in the house pink is now one of my favorite colors :) Depending on how much I have (since it’s a perfect knitting universe I’ll go with 16oz) lol I would knit myself a beautiful hat with a matching neck warmer. In my perfect knitting universe I’d already know how to knit socks so I’d knit myself a pair, What a wonderful way to keep myself warm in the winter!

  40. Alicia Says:

Asking me to chose is like asking me to stop breathing…ALL are stunning….
But if I had to absolutely chose it would be Maguire,Fionn and Cara because they remind me of home and the crystal turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea and the waves lapping at my toes.

  41. Lana Says:

Ohh, I can not choose my favorite,
Cameron or maybe Kieran, wait what about Alana or Devin…
I want them all !!! I can knit a shawl for myself and pairs of luxury mittens and hats for my DD and something for my DH and a lot of presents for all my friends. Lovely dreams!

  42. terri Says:

I would love to knit with the Erin color. I’d make a shawl and I think it would be very mermaid-ey when completed! Gorgeous.

  43. Val Says:

If I had to pick just one, I’d have to go with Maura and I’d make a beautiful shawl for myself.

  44. Nnenna Says:

I absolutely love, love, love Clare and I would use it for a light, springy cardigan or wrap!

  45. Kathy Says:

Cian… I would make myself something bright and cheerful to combat rainy days!

  46. Tracy Says:

Kieran - it would make a beautiful prairie shawl.

  47. Trisha Says:

I would choose Erin for my best friend Kim who lives in Maine. It’s so cold there, I’d make her socks to keep her feet warm. She has so little and gives so much to the people at her church and at the nursing home where she works.

  48. Marissa Says:

OOOOO…. I love Alana and would make a shrug for my daughter, and Niall for some lovely, squishy, wonderful, beautiful, socks.

  49. Maureen Says:

I love Jan-I would make a feather and fan scarf.

  50. Jos Says:

Picking just one is not easy.

In a perfect world I would turn Clare into a gorgeous cabled cardigan of some sort, although it would make me supremely nervous because I have never attempted anything that big and I would hate to mess up anything with that yarn. My practical side says I would turn it into a hat with hand warmers and then go somewhere where it is fall all the time.

On another note, I absolutely love the photographs. I can’t decide if the photographs or the yarns are more lovely. They are just amazing to look at.

  51. Sandy Says:

I love these new colourways! Since I only knit socks, I know exactly what I would make, LOL! But the choice of colour isn’t quite so easy….my absolute favourites are Grady and Madigan, and I’d have trouble choosing between them. Runners-up are Jack, Cian, Maura, Maeve and Cameron. One day they’ll all be coming home with me….. ;-)

  52. Alice Says:

Wow, these are some gorgeous colorways! I would choose Maeve, but it’s hard to choose just one. I believe I would make fingerless gloves or perhaps some socks, but gloves would be better because it’s easier to stare at your hands all day than your feet.

  53. Froggler Says:

Your lookbook is amazing and really shows off the yarn well.

These colors are inspiring, but I am particularly drawn to blue and yellow lately (hello Brady and Cian!). Like everyone else, I can now imagine a ton of lovely projects to make, but I’m leaning towards Jan as the square holes sweater by Iris Schreier.

  54. Mallory Says:

It’s so difficult, they’re all gorgeous! I would have to choose Niall though. I’d make a tee shirt, tank top or a pair of Phoenix Mitts with it. Kieran would also be great for the Phoenix Mitts.

I also love Jack, Connor, Maura and Mauve.

  55. Jodi Says:

Love your pictures and your colors! I think my favorite is Kieran–it’s bright and brilliant. I think that I would use it to make a February Lady–I know, I’m a little past the initial wave–but I had other things on the needles!

  56. Kelly Says:

Maeve in the Wexford Silk just looks absolutely delicious….and I’d love to make a cozy cardigan, so I can wear it almost yearround in the micro-climates of northern california….

My second choice would be Kieran - perhaps because that’s my son’s middle name, or perhaps because I love warm orangely colors (or both)…..and it would have to become a hat for me, and sweater for him :)

  57. Lostchyld Says:

I love the color combination of Maeve. In a perfect knitting ‘verse, I would make a simple shawl in either garter or stockinette to properly show off the colors. Of course, the shawl would be full sized to cover my arms. Then I’d make matching armwarmers.

  58. Maya Says:

I love Maguire and would love to make a summertime cardigan for our foggy SF Bay Area weather! The bright turquoise would really pop through the haze :)

  59. Joy Says:

I love Erin - what beautiful socks I would be wearing next St. Patrick’s day if I won that skein of yarn. Of course I would stop what I’m doing right now and get started on those socks so they will be ready when the weather changes. Beautiful green socks that would make my feet feel as if they were bare in the green grass. mmmmmmm……

  60. Jacqui Says:

This was kind of hard, but I think my favorite is Maura, who I would knit into a sweater–Garbo by Connie Chang Chinchio. It’s a sweater and scarf in one, so I can cuddle and snuggle but still look like a grown up dressed for work. Or perhaps I would make her into a shawl. She would match everything.

I’m also strangely drawn to Jack, who would make a great Clapotis for me or a Wonderful Wallaby for the baby boy I have not had yet.

  61. Megan Says:

The first to catch my eye was Brady, but Erin, Devin, and Niall soon followed. I would love to make a lacy shawl with any of these colors. Or perhaps a cute bag. I would love Brady for the Maraschino Cherry Bonbon Bag.

  62. arianateje Says:

I totally love Maura. It would make the perfect scarf or shawl (maybe a clapotis?) for my best friend. Can you believe I have been knitting for ages and I have only knitted for her babies but not for her? That’s something I must solve…

  63. Jen Says:

Oh, they are so beautiful! So hard to choose just one. I love Maguire and have been thinking of using just that color for the Gathered Pullover. But I also want Erin for socks, and Niall for Mr. Greenjeans. Actually, there wasn’t a single colorway that I didn’t like in the lot.

  64. Lisa Says:

It’s so hard to choose just one! I think I’d pick Devin, and I’d use it to make a light, cheery new shawl for spring.

  65. Donna ` Says:

They are all gorgeous, but Maeve is by far my favorite. What a great colorway!!

While I think it would make beautiful socks, it seems a shame to hide it on feet, so I think a simple cardigan would be my dream project.

    Amazing pictures too!

  66. Alli Says:

So hard to choose - I love Jan and Grady because I wear an insane amount of blue and brown. My inclination is to say I’d make socks, because I’m on a sock kick right now. But, I’d also love to make a beautiful lacy scarf.

  67. Jan Says:

I should love Jan, shouldn’t I? And I do, but I love Maura even more. Maybe I should change my name…

I think Maura wants to be my Lady Eleanor.

  68. Kate Says:

They’re all so beautiful, but it’s a no-brainer for me. My son’s name is Ian, so I have to go for Ian, and maybe make some socks for him. I also love the Erin colorway, which I’d use for me, me, me, maybe socks, maybe a hat…who knows? Thanks for this wonderful contest!

  69. Jessicachampagne Says:

As my cousin is pregnant with a little boy, I would choose Conor to make him a tiny jumper. I’ve never had a baby to knit for before and I’m SO EXCITED!

  70. Elizabeth Says:

I love Cameron and/or Kieran. I definitely would take either of these home. I never make anything for me so I would make myself some fingerless glove, yum…..

  71. sparklycat Says:

Ooooh! I love them all….but when I saw Cara I knew she would knit up as great Ishbel!

  72. Tami Sheiffer Says:

I’d chose Alana, and I’d make a lace scarf or stole with it.

You have so many beautiful colorways, it’s hard to chose just one!

  73. Lina Says:

    Absolutely Clare!
And I would make a February Lady Sweater of it. Gorgeous!

  74. Samantha Says:

If I had to choose just one, right now it would be Devin in Riddermark Merino. It’s the perfect color for the Owl sweater I want to make my sister.

  75. Lynn P Says:

I would love Maeve or Clare. In a perfect world, I would make a yummy giant rectangular wrap but in the real world, I’d probably make a cool hat like another Binary Cables and a lush cabled cowl.

  76. Adam Says:

Maguire is amazing — I love the simplicity, and blues/greens are my super-favoritest! Fionn is a close second, but in this case I think I like the darker version a bit better.

It would become a very pretty drop-stitch scarf that I saw recently on Ravelry (I haven’t tried doing drop-stitch yet, but I think I can probably handle it by now). I’m still a novice knitter, but I’m slowly working my way up!

I’d also like to say that ALL of your colorways are amazing, and making us choose just one is like torture! ^_^

  77. abbe mulroy Says:

Grady!! it’s the same colors as our cat, Athena!!!

  78. Pat Moore Says:

I see Alana or Maura as a lacy summer scarf.

  79. Diane Says:

I liked Jack as it was a combination of two of the colorways I liked best. It reminded me of a pumpkin growing on a vine. Think I would use it for some colorwork - a kettle-dyed base and this as the color work - something with a flower motif.

  80. Bridgett Says:

Your work makes my heart pitter patter!

  81. Marz Says:

    Niall…nice name.
I’d bring you back to your hometown and wear you around my neck walking along the seafront….not knitted nor crocheted….just as you are…..

  82. Mel Says:

Your yarn is beautiful and the pictures are brilliant! Though it was a tough call, I’d love to have Cameron in my stash. I’m thinking it would be a great open, drapey cowl or a fitted V-neck sweater, depending on how much I had of course.

  83. Hannah Says:

Well, if I only had to pick just one, I think Kate would make an excellent pair of springtime knee socks. But since I can’t choose just one, I also think Grady would make a cool scarf. Cheers!

  84. Jennifer Says:

    I Love Jack.

I would love a scarf/shawl out of this.

I also love Maeve. And Clare. Madigan too.

  85. telcontar Says:

Oh, man. I have to choose just one? Well, someone up there picked four… and going through and being VERY picky, I find I can also get my list down to four! So many of these colorways are so lovely!

Kieran wants to be a fiery lace shawl, knitted on larger needles and blocked within an inch of its life. A mantilla, maybe?

Ian would be a snug winter hat, either plain stockinette to show off the pooling or fancy texturework to break it up and make the colors interplay.

Grady is a sproingy cowl and elbow-length mittens in mistake rib, possibly double-stranded.

Cian is so gorgeous I’d probably just keep it in my stash to stare at and pet! No, I’ve got it. I’d make lace curtains for my room, which is blue with red-brown woodwork. It’d go perfectly.

  86. Sasha Says:

Kieran is amazing. It’s exactly the colorway I’m trying to incorporate into my apartment, so pillows would be my Kieran’s destiny.

Jan, Cian and Cameron are welcome to come by my place too. I’m sure I could find something for them to do.

  87. Krista Says:

I would pick Claire and make a wonderful baby sweater out of it.

  88. smatchell Says:

Oh wow, so many beautiful ones! I would make a hat with Kate, maybe a bag with Grady? Clare would need to be a lacy scarf or a tam and if I won the $150, I would buy enough Alana to make a cardigan!

  89. Maria Says:

The colors are beautiful and it is difficult to pick one.
But if I must pick just one,I would pick Brady. The yarn and color would look wonderful in a small triangle shawl such as flower basket.

  90. Tina Says:

It would certainly be Maura coming home with me. The subtlety is just lovely. And she would become the kind of cardigan you keep with you everywhere, almost a security blanket, not caring if she went with your outfit.

Or, at least, I wouldn’t. She’s too lovely to care.

  91. Sandy Says:

Niall has my favorite colors and would make a beautiful pair of socks for me.

  92. JessG Says:

Maura is gorgeous! I would make a Clapotis, or a feather and fan stole…

  93. Jenna S Says:

That’s a really tough question! While I can see myself knitting all sorts of things out of the new colorways, what I’d really, really love is to make Amused by Jordana Paige (with long sleeves) in Clare (preferably in the wexford merino silk base). But there are so many other colors that I would love to use for socks and soakers. It made it hard to decide. Thanks for having this contest!

  94. Jinny Says:

I would take home Maura. It looks like spring. I would definitely knit some lacey, springtime socks to go with my clear Sketchers shoes to show it off.

  95. Mimi Says:

Devin…Oh my GOODness, I’ve never wanted to knit with green before, but that colorway is beautiful!!!

  96. Tiffany Says:

I love all the beautiful colors! It is hard to pick a favorite, but I really like Jack. I would love to knit a new pair of socks.

  97. Julie Says:

Without a doubt, Ian is my absolute favorite!

They are all beautiful, though. Runners up have to be Madigan, Clare and Grady!

  98. Katie Says:

OOOOH I looked through the catalog twice, and cant decide between Erin or Devin. I absolutely love the colors, and the photography is absolutely amazing. I would make lacy scarf and probably wear it to sleep even!

  99. Megan Says:

I would love to take Kieran home, and, as it looks close to a lace/fingering weight to me, knit the new Aeolian shawl!

  100. Jane Says:

These are all gorgeous! I’d have to say Madigan, then Maeve caught my fancy first. Right now I have a “thing” for browns blended with bright colors. Since handknit sweaters don’t get so much wear here in FL, I’d likely do a fun scarf, with these.

  101. Leslie Says:

Hands down, Niall. What a lovely pair of Twisted Flower or Striken she would make!

  102. Marci Says:

Maeve or Madigan . . . I just love color.

Madigan it is — a nice spring vest or tank to wear over a crisp white shirt. The perfect knit for that tough transition season and colors to make me smile!

  103. Martha Tremblay Says:

I absolutely love Jack!! It reminds me of all the fresh Summer fruit. I would use this to design and knit a lacey Spring/Summer scarf. This contest is so generous of you!! Thanks!

  104. Dawn Says:

I love many of the new colors, and have already ordered a bunch, but most surprising is that I love Cameron! I don’t usually like warm colors, especially orange and yellow, but I would wear something in this color….maybe a lacy scarf.

  105. Nicole Says:

Grady would definitely be on its way to my knitting basket. It would make a fabulous hat. Devin would make a cute cute cute pair of socks. So many great choices, so little time to knit!

  106. Kristin Says:

Niall, and I would make the biggest knitted blanket ever, and just wrap myself in that lovely colour! Colours make me happy, and Niall has the colours I love the most.

  107. Twizzler on Ravelry Says:

    “Clare” colourway is gorgeous!
The same name as my beautiful niece, whose favourite colour as pink - as only a 6 year old girl can truly love love love pink! I would love to make her a lovely cosy shrug for spring.
Thanks for the contest. Lovely yarn!

  108. Nanette Says:

Picking one is tough–I like them all. Seriously. There’s not a clunker in the bunch!

That said, I’m going with Kate, which has pretty much every one of my favorite colors. Since I’m sock-obsessed, my first inclination would be to make socks, but I think it would also make a nice scarf or winter wrap. I really like bright, cheery colors for wintertime accessories.

  109. Sarah Says:

OMGoodness! Grady is beautiful!!! It made me just stop and stare.
    So yummy, bold, and beautiful!

  110. Elana Says:

    They are all so beautiful!!

Maeve is my favorite - I would make a beret and matching fingerless gloves, or a lacy shawl.

  111. flannery Says:

I would love to make Jack into a fantastic hat. Love your work!

  112. Holly L Says:

Clare would have to be a lacy shawl to brighten up a dreary Wisconsin Spring!

  113. Cyndy Says:

I absolutely love, love, love all of the colorways. Jack,Conor, Brady, Devin Oh it is so difficult LOL. A shawl would be very nice, also a cardy, ski hat with a big pom pom, the possibilities are endless here.

  114. Jean L. Says:

It has to be blue! So I guess it would be
Maguire,Fionn or Cara. It would be hard to pick one, so I’d have to have all 3. LOL

  115. Emily W. Says:

I love them all, but my favorite is Maeve! Preferably in sock yarn- that’s my obsession- I’m much more adventurous with my socks than with the rest of my clothes!

  116. Amy Says:

Niall is gorgeous! I’d knit up a lacy cardigan that I could wear year-round.

  117. Krystal Says:

I really love Maura. Those are definitely my colors. But this time of year, when winter is draggin on and on…. I would choose Kieran. You feel warmer inside just from looking at it. I would knit a pair of socks for all the cold days I stand around watching my kids’ hockey games.

  118. Tricia Says:

Talk about a hard choice! They are all so gorgeous! But, if I can only pick one, it would be Clare. I love the reds/burgundys. I would make myslef the most awesome pair of fingerless gloves on the planet!!

  119. Kelly Says:

I adore all of them, but the project I keep dreaming about is the diminishing ribs cardigan in Maura on Wexford. Mmmmm

  120. Karen Says:

Kieran is the yarn I would choose since it would be beautiful as a pair of intricately cabled socks!

  121. Lia Says:

Only one colorway? It’s awfully close between Grady, Cameron & Maura, but I guess Maura. It would probably become a sweater, because I like knitting sweaters best. Maybe a lacy sweater. I think variegated yarn looks good in lace.

  122. Lisa Downey Says:

I would choose Cameron and I would make pretty armwarmers I could wear while knitting in bed or outside when it is chilly. I would have to knit something quick and simple so I could really see the colors and wear it as soon as possible.

  123. Taylor Says:

I thought my favorite was Kate until I saw Jack.
It was Jack until I saw Maurna.
It was Maurna until I saw Grady.
It was Grady until I saw Alana.

I think my final favorite is Alana and I would make a comfy cardigan. Or socks. Or a tank top.

  124. Vicki B. Says:

They are all beautiful and the photographs are wonderfully staged. In a perfect world…I would knit Ene’s Scarf from Maguire!

  125. Jennifer Says:

In a perfect universe, (not so much unlimited money needed, but unlimited knitting time and patience!) I would love to take home Niall and make a beautiful pair of fingerless mitts… preferably something long and elegant, maybe a scarf to match!

  126. Lisa Says:

I already sent away for Maura on Carys. Its for me - for a cowl. I’m totally in love with this colorway. I’ve looked at it about 100 times. It will totally dress up my favorite jean jacket on those cool spring nights.

  127. Kylene Says:

Devin. it’s such a nice boy-appropriate color without being blue. In an ideal world, I’d make matching sweaters for my two boys, but my attention span isn’t that long.
Or Maeve for me. I LOVE it!

  128. Kirsten Says:

Wow!!! They are all sooo lovely! But if I had to choose just one it would be Erin and I would knit it into a beautiful spring sweater for myself.

  129. Carole Says:

Every one is beautiful! My choice would be Erin simply because it is such a beautiful Spring color.
Alana is gorgeous too. How can one choose just one color?

  130. Jennifer Says:

I just love the colors of Brady, Connor, Cameron, and Kieran. But if just having to choose one, it would be Connor.

My eldest is a Konnor and I LOVE the colorway associated with it. I would want to knit him a sweater out of it. A nice crew neck pullover with set in sleeves. His fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes would make it impossible for even the non-knitters not to drool. Then again, maybe I don’t want to make it for him…..

What a fantastic contest. Thanks Sharon!

  131. lemur Says:

I absolutely love Devin, and I think I would make a gorgeous clapotis out of it, because I have yet to make myself a good, pretty winter scarf.

  132. Becky L. Says:

I love all of them! I am really partial to nearly solid colorways. I have so many thing that I would love to do. But…if I had to choose, I would choose Niall and make Brooklyntweed’s Druid mittens with itl. I think the blues and purples would look great with my black dress coat.

  133. Pamela Says:

Oh my, I think I want to take them all home! If I can only choose one I would have to say devin (but it was truly a very difficult choice) and I would love to make a lacy scarf with it.

  134. Laurie J. Says:

Your colorways are amazing!! My mother, sister and I are planning a trip to Europe next spring and I think Devin, Kieran and Erin would make lovely shawls. (My current knitting obsession). Maeve would also make a fabulous pair of fingerless gloves.

  135. Liz Says:

Definitely Niall. As to what it wants to become for me, I think a February Lady Sweater. The blues and purples are amazing! Right up my alley. Fabulous colourway!

  136. holly Says:

I like too many to choose just one! I really like Madigan and I would love to knit it into a thin long scarf.

  137. Cathey C. Says:

    Connor.

    Or Kieran.

No. No. It’s Connor. Or …

I would knit a nice snuggly shawl to wramp myself in the yummy colors.

  138. Ann Says:

Niall would make a beautiful cowl!

  139. Monica Says:

I really like all of them, but Kate is what I’d love to knit with for myself.

  140. Cindy Connolly Says:

I would have to pick Kate, as my BFF had their third child (5 wks early) and that is her name.

What to make ? Easy - a cardigan and hat for the precious little lady :)

  141. Christine Says:

    Niall is simply gorgeous!!!

I would want to make a Knitty Thermal from it, or maybe just a pair of socks.

  142. Christina Says:

I can’t decide between Erin and Jack! I LOVE the bright colors!

  143. LSS Says:

I love Maguire, Fionn, and Cara. I’m thinking sweater. Pullover. Maybe some cables, but with the emphasis on the colors of the yarn. Nothing too crazy.

Alternatively, Niall really gets me. Again, sweater. For me, of course. With Niall, I’d do something plain and let the yarn shine. Long sleeves.

You might notice that I tend to accumulate yarn with no more plan than “sweater, eventually.” But it’s all good. Someday.

  144. Heather Says:

Kieran the colours are so bright and cheery and much needed on this rainy vancouver day. I would knit a spring scarf or a second whisper cardigan.

  145. Bonnie Says:

Oooooohhh, I just love Kieran! The colour is fabulous and I’d love to make Anne Hanson’s new pattern “Maplewing” in it. The combination would be so nice. And if I won ……….. a wonderful birthday prezzie!

  146. Christie Says:

Jack makes my soul sing! I would use it to create mushy peas mittens for my long cold winters!

  147. jonah711 Says:

    I love Niall. I’d make a scarf….for me.

  148. Rhiannon Says:

I would choose Maura. It is several colours that I normally don’t think about, but in combination it is simply spectacular. I would love to make a spring handbag with it. Or perhaps a Clapotis–I think it would be lovely in that.

  149. Katy Says:

I pick Clare…. reminds me of my wedding, and the beautiful (expensive and painful) shoes I wore, which were that exact colour. I’d knit a retro-ish short cardigan/shrug type thing, I’m sure I’ve seen the pattern for the one I want, somewhere!

  150. Sylvia Says:

I would have to choose Kieran over Cian, but it would be close. I’d knit myself a cropped cardigan with lace insert panels or a simple cable decoration, and a pair of mitts, a hat, and a scarf to match, so I could work in style at my computer in the cold winter, and look great walking down to the village pub on my break.

  151. MARYLU Says:

I would love to bring Maeve home with me!

In a perfect world I would love to knit up a scrumptious lacy scarf and pair of matching gloves to go with my brown winter coat (for next winter, of course).

  152. Janet Says:

    Maura
    Alana
    Madigan
Cian Socks to make my feet happy. Not sure what to make with the others just want……….

  153. that chick Says:

maura would make the most fantastic leyburn socks. or watchman cap. or mittens. or scarf. or winter set with matching socks.

by the way, i have been madly in love with your yarn for a long, long time. one day i’ll have the money to meet it in person.

  154. Karen Says:

I adore Maura, all those lovely, slightly faded garden colors! I’d make a large Tudor Grace scarf to snuggle into - perfect for foggy mornings and damp days here in England.
Thank you for offering such a generous giveaway!

  155. emily Says:

Jack! Oh, how I love Jack! I’d love to make a beautiful pair of cable armwarmers with it. it’s beautiful.

  156. Gail Says:

Selecting only one must surely constitute cruel and unusual punishment! They are all heavenly, I love the color saturation. I think that my pick would be Erin, and I would make socks.

  157. Lauren Says:

I would love to knit the Shifting Sands Scarf in Cian. It’s such a bright and perfect spring colour, perfect after a very LONG and COLD Canadian winter!

  158. Jackie Says:

Niall, and it would end up as a snappy pair of Viper Pilot socks :P Vroom!

  159. Deb Says:

I would love to make some yummy socks out of Jack. But then I like them all to make some lovely sweaters.
    So hard to decide.

  160. Michelle Gagner Says:

I absolutely love Grady. I see a beautiful shawl or Cowl to go with my brown winter coat…

  161. Michelle Says:

Oh my, this is like being in my LYS and trying to choose, which I don’t do well with so many choices. I would choose Kierian for a sweater, I love orange hues with socks. I’d also choose Maguire, Fionn and Cara combined for a shrug to wear with dark denim and last but not least, Clare for really cool socks. Can you hear’em calling me?

    Beautiful!

  162. Carol Martinez Says:

This is difficult. A sweater or wrap out of Grady or a cowl out of Niall, I just can’t decide. These yarns are beautiful and the pics are wonderful.

  163. Veronica Says:

Well…I love pink, so I love Kate (and Clare). I would make a cardigan, because I love cardigans. And maybe some socks. Because I am rapidly becoming addicted to sock knitting. So, maybe some Kate socks to go with my Clare cardigan. Yes, that would do nicely.

  164. Sunshine Says:

I would choose Niall and I would knit something for my mom…not sure what as that would depend both on my mood and my most recent inspiration.

  165. Jan Says:

I love Niall. I’d make a wonderfully lacy shawl or shrug.

  166. JennySue Says:

I’m seriously in lust for KIERAN. I’d love a shawl/scarf and maybe some matching mitts.

  167. Carol Says:

Maura is beautiful. I would use it for hats, mittens and scarves for my daughter and me - she’s moved to Montana and left me in Chicago, so even though we’d have matching accessories and we’d get to wear them at the same time, we’d very rarely be in the same place. - Your Lookbook is wonderful and so are all the yarns. Thanks for this opportunity -

  168. Jan Says:

I love Niall. I’d knit a wonderfully lacy shawl or shrug.

  169. Heather Says:

After much paging back and forth I would use Madigan to make me a comfort shawl for the evenings. I also love Kate and would like to make socks out of them for myself.

  170. Karen Says:

Gorgeous!! (and what fantastic photography too)

I’d take Kate home and turn her into a racer-back tank or something else summery and festive. Or use Niall for a large wrap for spring evenings outdoors.

  171. Heather D Says:

I would choose Maura, and in a perfect world I would make a long lacy scarf, preferably with a leaf motif to bring out the earthy, springy tones.

  172. radioactivetori Says:

I personally love Kate but my daughter’s name is Claire (with an I in it) and she would love something made out of Clare. Maybe some socks or an adorable scarf? Maybe a clapotis because she has been asking for one and her birthday is coming up in May. She is quite enthusiastic about the things I knit for her, so it would definitely be worth it! I am thinking if I don’t win, I will still need to order that and make it for her! You are such an enabler! (but I love it!)

  173. Heather L Says:

I love Maeve the best…lovely blend of colours. But really it was SO hard to choose…I liked most of them. Especially your way of photographing and describing the colours. I would definitely make a little baby sweater for my youngest daughter…she needs something special knit from her mom! Thanks for the contest and makign beautiful yarn!

  174. Jo Powers Says:

Grady - wants to be a soft, warm scarf and hat for me!
Or Niall - he’d wants to be a hat, for sure!

  175. Margo Says:

    Cian!

I would make an enormous circular shawl, one of those ridiculously complex ones, and I would dance naked with it wrapped around me.

  176. yarnsnob Says:

I know I’m supposed to choose just one colorway but after each image I kept changing my mind, I love them all. But, if I must choose just one I think it would be Maura. I can see myself making some knee high CookieA socks or in a perfect word, a Nancy Bush Estonian lace shawl. Beautiful colorway, keep up the good work!

  177. Rebecca Says:

I would use Devin to make a “Spring” hat, because here in the Frozen North we still need to be kept warm but are desperate for spring-like things.

  178. grace Says:

absolutely Jack, the name of my favorite Young and Restless character, I would make a shawlette or scarf so I could wrap him around me and keep him close!

  179. Kristie Hammond Says:

Definitely Kate! It is gorgeous, and would look lovely as either a sweater or socks, or better yet- both!

  180. Angharad Says:

I would love either Kieran or Maura, and I would make socks. I love socks!

  181. Christena MacDonald Says:

Such beautiful colors! I would have to make a sweet pair of socks, just so I could look at my toes all day long and feel pampered! Clare would have to be mine!!!

  182. Allison Says:

Well, since Cian, Madigan and Jack are already coming to live with me, I’m going with my sister’s choices…As Clevelanders, we want Brady and Grady.

In my dream knitting universe, Brady will be a quarterback handwarming muff for Brady Quinn, which my sister will toss him with his bacon and egg white omelet.

Grady will become a pair of adult soakers, because my sister has been wanting to throw her panties at Grady Sizemore for years.

  183. Marcela Says:

Kate, I love it. It is the closest I have ever seen to the perfect colorway. I would swim in it…. No really. I would make a giant triangular shawl to wrap myself in, and felted boots!

  184. Barbara L. Says:

I just love Cameron. It has all the colors I wear - red, orange, yellow and green. Goes great with the blonde hair. If there’s enough for a scarf, that is what I would do, so all could see. If not, socks make me happy, too.

  185. Julia B Says:

Wow - how beautiful - both the yarn and the photo styling! If I were to choose, I’d choose Kieran, with which to make a fiery Aeolian.

  186. Loretta Says:

When I saw Kieran, Devin and Clare, I thought how nice they would look as gloves with a matching hat or maybe a shawl.

Then I saw Cian and it took my breath away — perfect for any sock in Cookie A.’s new book!

  187. Cristi-Lael Says:

OH, I had a hard time picking, for sure! All the colors are so wonderful and I’m sure I need all of them!
But, i think I’ve been anle to narrow it down to two. I love, love LOVE both Jack and Grady.
Jack needs to be a fantastic pair of socks for me and
Grady needs to be a top for me as well…or it would make fantabulous socks as well! Oh, I can’t decide!

Thanks for being so unbelievably generous with this contest! I’m eternally grateful…even if I’m not one of the winners.

  188. Rosmarie R. Says:

I would like the madigan color way. I would make the E. Zimmerman Rib Warmer.

  189. beautyredefined Says:

Wow - what a generous giveaway! And do I seriously have to pick just one? They’re all so beautiful, and I’d love so many. But, if choose I must, I’d pick Kieran, and I’d probably make the Moonlight Sonata Shawl with it. Or some fingerless gloves. Can you tell I’m not very good with decisions?

  190. Jennifer Says:

I’d have to bring home Brady and Connor! I’d knit them together into fabulous longies for to cover the sweet cloth-diapered bum of my soon-to-be new niece or nephew!

  191. Kara Says:

I would take home maeve and make myself a cardigan

  192. Heather Lovely Says:

For me it has to be Clare! It would be the perfect color for a stole to wear over a perfect little black dress.

  193. Jesse Says:

I’m a fan of Kieran. I can imagine the yarn as fingerless gloves, or a lace hat. Enough to keep the chill away, but warm enough to wear on a spring day walking to work.

  194. Vivian Says:

I absolutely love Clare! My favorite colors.

I would love to knit a scarf or neckwarmer and a pair of fingerless gloves or wristwarmers.

  195. Rose Says:

My most favorite from the Spring Lookbook is Maura. I would make a lace scarf or stole, depending on the yardage.

  196. Aley Says:

Maura! I have been wanting to jump on the Clapotis bandwagon for along time and the colors in this yarn are perfect. They are subtle and interesting…just gorgeous!

  197. Lisa S. Says:

I think I’d pick Jack. It’s perfectly earthy and vibrant at the same time. I’d get it on something ultra squishy, maybe galenas or elenya…. I’d knit a ginormous throw that I can cuddle with every single day of my life. With cables, lots of fat cables. It’d be big enough for me and dh, or just me. I’d make a pillow to match, and my couch would be their home. Mmmm.

  198. Cindy Says:

Clare would make the most beautiful hat… I love your photography!

  199. valerie Says:

    I love Maeve !!!!
I would make a beautiful sweater for me.

  200. Arleta Says:

Jack! Socks, or anything, actually, for myself. That was so hard, all of the colorways are amazing!!

  201. Leslie Says:

Oh my…almost impossible to pick just one…but, I’d go with KATE as my favorite. I’d love to have some Kate socks.

  202. Lori Says:

How are we supposed to pick just one?
    They’re all so gorgeous. :)
If I were to choose only one, I’d go with KIERAN.
I’d knit up some toasty fingerless mitts to wear while sporting around in my Wrangler. :)
    Thanks for a great contest!!

  203. Soraya Says:

Kieran for a clapotis to be worn in Korea to accessorize with the winter’s kumquats.

  204. Linda Says:

    Hi–
I really enjoyed your LookBook. My fav was Kieran, and I would want to make a sweater so I could be wrapped up in those colors :)

  205. igi Says:

ooooh…. Jack and Kate are calling my name, but Maura is just begging to be some lacy fingerless mitts for spring!

  206. Jane Salsich Says:

I love Cameron the best, with Maeve being a close. close second. Thanks for doing 2 kinds of orange. Great photography!

  207. carol Says:

Kieran would be perfect as a scarf. It rains a lot in my area so it will help brighten those rainy days.

  208. lorent Says:

Oh, Claire jumped out at me right away. Those pinks/reds are my favorite colors. The remind me of my favorite berries and fruits.

I’d love to use it to design a lacy little triangular scarf. Beautiful yarns!

  209. Anne Says:

madigan!!!! Ooooo, so pretty! I would make the world’s prettiest shrug or shawl!

  210. Heidi Says:

I would love to make a Forest Canopy shawl from the Cameron colorway. It would look like fall foliage.

  211. Debbie Says:

They are all gorgeous and I’d be happy with any (all) of them, but I’m a sucker for blues and purples, especially together, so, since I have to pick just one it would be Niall. I’d love it in a sweater for me.

  212. Jaime Says:

Wow look at these comments go! I wonder how many will comment before Wednesday at 4:30?!

If I were to pick just one for me,it would be Alana. Her soft subtle hues are very calling to me. I would knit myself a shrug or a shawl of some sort.

You mentioned greens are my color so Devin is high on that list as well. Along with,Cara,Clare,Brady,Grady,Maeve,Cameron,Cian….I like them all!

  213. Yvonne Says:

Wow, how do I choose one. I love the colors in Kiernan. What to make??? A lacy scarf for sure.

  214. angela Says:

Pick one?!?! Not possible, but I’ll give it a try.

Alana would make a fantastic shawl.

(And Cameron and Madigan would make gorgeous sweaters - one for me and one for my daughter)

    Darnit, I tried. :)

  215. Sarah Says:

What lovely colors! Though all are enchanting, Maeve and Jan really captivate with their unexpected blue-brown combos. Definitely for simple, sturdy cardigans. Or a hat. Or socks…

  216. cthulhulovesme Says:

I adore Jack, but Erin’s a close second.

  217. Stacy Says:

Devin is by far my favorite, but Clare could come live with me also.

With either of those, I would love to make a large square lace shawl that could also work as a blanket. Both those bright colors would be fabulous on a gray winter’s day..

  218. Traci Says:

    Oh, they’re all so lovely!

I’d have to say Alana, Jack, or Grady.

Since it’s spring, I think my first chioce would probably be Alana. So soft and petal-y. Jack would be a close second.

Alana would, without a doubt, make a lovely petal soft lace shawl, methinks. Yes, absolutely. I do think that I’m in love. =)

  219. Jessi Says:

I think my favorite is Maeve. And I’d make some socks. :-)

  220. Laura/Knittress Says:

I would buy Maeve on Wexford Silk. It would be divine for a clapotis. :)

  221. Sam Says:

Love Maura. And Erin, and Jack, but Maura is my fav. I’ve been loving blues and greens lately.

  222. YarnluvinLizzy Says:

I would make the Forest Canopy shawl out of “Cameron”.

I don’t recall ever seeing a photo setup like you have for these new colourways. I think it makes your yarns even more exciting.

  223. Paige Says:

Devin, Erin, Connor, and Maura….but if I have to chose just one, Devin in McClellan or Carys BFL sock to make Whisper Cardigan from Interweave Spring 2009.

  224. dydy Says:

    All your yarns are beautiful!
But the one(s) I’d like to bring home would be the triplets Maguire, Fionn, and Cara.

I have this design in mind, a batik inspired summer top, and these are exactly the color combination I imagined.

  225. Maureen Says:

Maura Maura Maura. I love all the eggs in the picture too! I would make socks.

Maguire, Fionn and Cara beg to be a sweater together.

  226. Maria Says:

Wow! I love Kieran and Devin! I like greens a lot, but Kieran is so appealing right now! If I had them, I think I’d make a lace shawl like the Fountain Pen Shawl(in IK ‘09). Or something very lacey. Awesome photos!

  227. Stacie Says:

Oooh…do I be selfish, or not? Well, if I’m not being selfish, I’d take Erin and make something for my mom. She’s been really supportive of my efforts at crocheting (I just learned in October). If I’m being selfish, I’d take Grady and make myself something cool…something fun…socks maybe. Oh, those would be cool socks!

  228. Audrey Says:

Jack is my favorite hands down! I already bought a skein that’s coming to live with me. I also totally think Ian rocks and would be a totally rockin pair of longies for my son (Jackson).

I would also totally love Grady. It reminds me of chocolate and caramel! I also will need to get Cian. I’m not a big yellow fan, but that colorway totally speaks to me!

I love almost all of them! And you’ve made yarn buying quite a challenge at this point!

  229. Christie Says:

I couldn’t pick one so here are my two favorites, which are Clare and Alana.

with Claire I would make a sexy corsety like tank to showcase the reds and pinks

With Alana I would make a more delicate summer top to fit the softer smoother color.

  230. Agnes Says:

If I had to pick just one, it would be Cian. Its so beautiful, sunny and happy. I want to just wrap myself from head to toe in that yarn so that means I would knit a hat, scarf, mitts, a sweater, oh and of course socks. lol!

  231. Sandra Says:

It would have to be Maura because coming from the island of Ireland and living near to the Glens Of Antrim it reminds me of the green green grass of home. I would knit a beautiful cabled sweater with this yarn as the Irish are famous for doing.

  232. Judi Says:

I would have to bring home Alana. It would make a beautiful February Lady Sweater. Or perhaps a Tuscany shawl. The color reminds me of the roses that grow in my neighbor’s yard.

  233. Phyllis Says:

    Such beautiful colors!
The Brady & Connor makes me want to design a sweater — front and back of Connor, with sleeves and borders of Brady. Geometric and stunning. Lots of fun to wear.
Ciara is gorgeous. Would dress up my living room with a pillow cover and the kitchen with a felted tea cozy.

  234. Monica Says:

All of them!! But if I were forced to chose only one, then it would be Clare”. I would make a yummy shawl for a lovely woman named “Clare” which, she always reminds me, is the “correct” spelling. The photography is as gorgeous as the yarn. Thanks for offering it up!

  235. Erin L. Says:

Oh Lordy, those are some pretty colorways! Hmm, my favorite 3 are Erin, Niall, and Maeve. I think I’d use Erin to knit up a February Lady Sweater…or maybe Devin to make a CPH. Oops, I went and threw in another color.

  236. Barbara Says:

Maeve!!! My favorite though I love so many of them , and like them all.

  237. Ren Says:

your yarns are so fabulous and the photography is just beautiful. : ) my favorite is connor, although i really like maura and kate as well. connor would probably become a springy shrug.

  238. Janet Says:

Maeve. Definitely Maeve. All of my favorite colors wrapped up into one skein of yummy yarn. I would like at least ten skeins of it so that I could knit a huge blanket and wrap myself up in Maeve all the time. WIth I just one skein of beautiful, lovely Maeve, I would probably knit a cowl or mittens so that I could have it around me all the time.

  239. Kimberly Says:

I love so many of them. They’re all so delicious. But my winner is Niall. Gorgeous colors.

  240. tanya Says:

What a difficult decision! I keep going back to Maura though - i saw the photo in the ‘beautiful pictures of yarn’ thread on ravelry a few days ago and fell in love then - with the yarn and the uniqueness of the photo! A scarf made from Maura would go perfectly with my olive green spring jacket.

  241. Sasha Says:

Devin, I’d have to say. It’s such a Springy green, and I’ve got Spring surging through my veins now that we have rain and grass instead of snow around here! It would definitely become a lacy, slouchy beret - a nice light hat for Spring. Want.

That said, there are so many other lovely colorways, it was almost a shame to pick the one.

  242. Meghann Says:

    decisions, decisions….it’s so hard!

    1. Brady for a sweater for me-something bright and springy!

    2. Jack–socks!

  243. Jody Says:

They’re all absolutely gorgeous! I can’t decide which one I like more (I’m a Libran, can never make decisions!) They would look wonderful made into socks, or a beautiful scarf and hat. I live in NZ, can I still enter?

  244. ohsewcrafty Says:

I just love Niall. I think this would be perfect for a chic cardigan or jacket.

  245. Sarah Says:

I would make the Lady Eleanor Shawl from Maura…

And the Placed Cable Aran with Niall

I love all the colors though. Such amazing combinations.

  246. Ingrid Says:

I am drawn to the idea of knitting a gift for a person with his/her named yarn…So, a poncho (her request) for my daughter with “Clare,” a thick, bulky vest for my father-in-law with “Jack” for when he goes to the mountains, and a prayer shawl for my brother- in-law and sister-in-law who lost a baby named “Kieran.”

  247. Suzanne Says:

OMG, I’m late coming to this party! I love jack, maeve and Claire, but Kate is just so superfabulous! A divine pair o’ socks for me. :)

  248. Marcia Gillespie-Norder Says:

I just found your site through an ad on Ravelry, and I’m in love. Right now, I’m particularly in love with Kieran. Mmmmm. I would knit a lace stole out of it–with a lace pattern that suggested flames. Love. It.

  249. Debbie Leiws Says:

OMG! so hard to choose - but I would bring home Madigan - and enough to make a beautiful, warm cabled sweatercoat!

  250. Tiffani Says:

Brady and Connor… because they would make a gorgeous pair of shorties for Josiah. I think it’s followed closely by Maguire, Fionn and Cara… for some striped shorties. For myself… probably Maura for a scarf or shawl of some sort.

  251. Gecko Says:

I love the blend of Cameron, almost edible! I’d provide a good home for it….. and transform it… hopefully (I’m new to knitting!) into some fingerless gloves… or maybe a cowl…. so many possibilities!

  252. Amanda Mazerolle Says:

Oh my goodness Cian is the most beautiful yellow yarn I have ever seen. I have loved yellow since I was a child and have been looking for a shade of yellow that would make me immediately happy … yours did it. I love it. I think I would make mittens with it; why? Because my 6 year old just challenged me to learn and make her a pair and what would be better on a cold miserable day but sunny, warm, happy Cian mittens!

  253. Kristi Says:

I was only able to narrow it down to 2.

I love Kieran and would make a beautiful pair of socks to have a flash of fiery color on my feet!!

I also love Maura. The blend of gorgeous muted colors would be yummy in a shawl (that I would wear all the time.

  254. Loraine Boyce Says:

Maeve - a sweater for my daughter, sox for me or a shawl for my mother-in-law I can’t wait to order some soon!

  255. Caryn Says:

I would love to bring home Alana. I love the subtle pinks. I think I would make a really pretty lacy scarf (since we don’t need warmth here in GA!)

  256. Cindy Says:

They’re all so beautiful, but I think Niall is calling my name. I would use it for a cowl for my daughter, or perhaps a cute springtime beret for me.

  257. Dennine Says:

    Cian.
I loved all of them and wasn’t sure how I was going to choose; but when I came to that one it took first place.
Daffodils are my favourite flower and I’m anxiously awaiting spring. Even just the picture brightened my day - I would love to have the yarn itself!

  258. Kelly Says:

My favorite (I love them all) is Clare. I don’t think you could’ve more accurately created my favorite color if you asked me. It has beautiful depth and richness; I love it.

I would make an intricate lace shawl with this yarn. I love the depth of hand painted yarn in shawl patterns.

  259. lisa33 Says:

I would definitely pick Niall because I love purple and blue! It would make lovely socks or a scarf.

  260. Linda in Chicagoland Says:

Love several but favorite is Cameron. It would make a wonderful Just Enough Ruffles scarf or Minimalist cardigan.

  261. Jane Says:

Brady, Clare, and Maura are speaking to me. I love Brady and Clare for their intensity and Maura for subtlety. I would knit socks, socks, socks, and more socks! bwa ha ha ha ha!

  262. Jane Says:

Well, even though my middle name is Maeve, and I have already fallen in love with Clare, Alana, Cian, Maura and Grady, I would have to go with Jack. My husband is getting ready to deploy overseas for God knows how long and I would like to make him some tall socks to brighten his dreary olive drab and tan world. Its such a lovely combination of greens, browns, golden yellows and oranges.

  263. Jennifer Wollesen Says:

I would choose Grady and make a long scarf with it. Love the colors.

  264. Pmoys Says:

Maguire, Fionn & Cara - any of those is a lovely shade for a cabled cardigan. I just am not sure there would be enough! But soooo lovely. Just the right punch of color for gray pittsburgh.
Niall - a pair of socks for my mother in law.
Cian - I would use to make Wendy Johnson’s new sunflower socks as soon as the pattern is available. Such a vibrant yellow! My mother would love this.

    Best of Luck to everyone!

  265. Jenny Says:

I love Brady!!! I’m learning to knit socks and I think that’s what it would have to be. It’s beautiful.

  266. Spinning Jenny Says:

Maeve… She is beautiful.. Of course they all are but she is calling to me..

  267. evelyn Says:

Devin is my absolute favorite. I think I would make a sweater with it =) So spring-y and summer-y!!

  268. Chelsea Says:

Ok, that was too hard, but I think Maeve won out though Grady, Jack and Cameron were in the running. I would most likely knit it into a beautiful pair of plain vanilla socks or with a very simple stitch pattern, but it would definitely become socks with the leftovers possibly becoming a snail a la Mochimochi Land.

  269. Lisa Says:

Jack - socks in either a chevron or feather and fan type pattern, or a slip stitch pattern. Or else a bright scarf to cheer up a winter coat. It would be so pretty in a lot of things!

  270. Sarah Prince Says:

Madigan for socks, or any of them for one or another part of me… selfish me. Of course I can’t make anything to fit yet, on myself let alone others. But good yarn is the best inspiration to keep practicing, and these are all SO COOL!

  271. Barbara Says:

The choice is difficult, but I need Brady and Connor. I would make a beret out of Brady and some sassy gloves to match out of Connor. If I could only choose 1 then it would have to be Brady.

  272. Kristen Says:

I have never seen a group that has made it so hard to choose a favorite!
But I’ve managed to narrow it down to Erin or Jack, and I think I might make some fingerless mitts or socks. I really just want to look at it all day! :)

  273. Cheryl Says:

Boy, I’m hard pressed to decide between Clare and Fionn. I guess if I really had to choose just one it would be Clare for its richness and uniqueness. They’re all so beautiful!

  274. Juliette Coughlin Says:

I would choose Madigan. It is so pretty and I am new to knitting, so I don’t know what I would make with it. Probably a really pretty hat for next winter, and a matching pair of mittens, if there is enough! :)

  275. Jackie Says:

Kieran — I would probably make socks. Warm colors make the warmest socks!

  276. Lesley Says:

Oh it is so hard to just pick one! But I think I’d go for Alana, and I’d make a pretty wrap or shrug to go over a spring dress on a cool night.

  277. Lydia Says:

I am absolutely in LOVE with Kate. Red and green are my favorite colors, so it’s talking to me LOUD AND CLEAR. As for what I would make with it… I would love to see how TIG’s very own Popsicle sock pattern would look with it.

  278. Megan Says:

Wow, that Connor is so gorgeous. I’d love to make a scarf with it so I wear it everyday and see it at all times! Really stunning.

  279. shoefairy3 Says:

    I want, no I need Jacl :D

  280. Kaitlin Says:

Although they’re all beautiful, I love Devin. I think it needs to be a cheerful spring cardigan.

  281. Nobelle1 Says:

I would pick the beautiful shades in Maeve. I would make a lovely sweater set and leg warmers for my new grandaughter because in a perfect or any other world she is perfect.

  282. Tammy Says:

Oh gosh, that is hard to choose, but if I had to choose one I would have to say um…….Kate, yes definitely Kate!!!

  283. Izabela P. Says:

I would like Grady. I’d use it for a pair of socks.
    I heart all the colorways.

  284. jennifer Says:

how do i choose just one?! i was seduced at Conner but kept going and my first love is Madigan. i would take her home and put her on a shelf to gaze at until she told me what she wanted to be made into…

  285. Stephanie Says:

If I had to choose just one, I would choose Clare. You can never, ever go wrong with pink!! I am so impressed with the beautiful photos of the new colorways; I was on the site earlier today, and thought everything looks so beautiful!!

  286. Jennifer Says:

Kate or Maeve, definitely! So gorgeous!

  287. Mandy Says:

I love grady and I would make some long fingerless gloves.

  288. jen Says:

JACK, hands down. They are all lovely, but Jack is just sooooo great. I would make a drop stitch scarf, I think that pattern would show off those colors perfectly.

  289. Deja Says:

I would chose Alana because of the earthy pinks. I have had this idea of making butterfly/fairy wings with yarn for my daughter for a while (crochet) and this color would give it the perfect woodsy look I want. I don’t want to give too much away about how I am going to do it because once I figure it out I will be selling the pattern. :)

  290. judy Says:

Maura is #1 for me, but i’m also drooling over all three of the solid blues. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!! Great work!

  291. Becky Says:

Maura and it would be used for a scarf for me :)

  292. Megan Says:

Alana would become a sweater for me :)

  293. Brenna Says:

This is a tough question. Gonna have to go with February Lady Sweater in Devin or Erin. I can’t decide between the two :)

    There are all beautiful!!!!

  294. Laurie Says:

    Brady rules. Socks!

  295. Kris Says:

It would have to be Maura, I can imagine a gorgeous shrug made for me from it. Very lush!

  296. jen Says:

I want a shawl made from cameron! Although they are all so beautiful!

  297. Rebecca Says:

Alana - I would make an October Nursing Shawl for my friend that just brought her baby home from 6 weeks in the NICU. Baby girls middle name is Alana and I think they could both use some comfort of a lovely wrap!

  298. Kate Says:

My son is in love with Erin and has requested that I knit him a scarf for next year!

  299. erin Says:

Very hard to choose, but I must choose the Erin colorway. Its my name and I love greens.

I would make some wrist warmers and hat set. or some cute little leg warmers.

  300. Janel Says:

Ian, no question about it. I’d love to make matching sweaters for my 2 boys. Though I’d need a machine that stopped time, so I could have time to knit!

  301. Brandilyn Says:

The colorways are gorgeous, but the photography on some distracts from your beautiful work.

In a perfect knitting world I would need Maeve… and it would be a scarf for my sister who loves and collect them :)

  302. Ann Says:

Put me in the “I love them all” category! Connor is, I think, my favorite, the colors remind me of the sea. I’d probably make neckwarmer and gloves to wear when I needed something to make me smile….

  303. Adrienne Says:

Maeve - And I would try to find the perfect purse to knit from it! I love all the different colors!

  304. Lisa Says:

maura - would make a lovely lacy item maybe a smoke ring, which works so well in my climate
lots of beautiful yarns in the collection!
    thanks for the opportunity.

  305. Lindsay Says:

You do realize what an absolutely impossible question that is, don’t you! I have been drooling over these since the moment you posted them - yes I do stalk your site for new postings, so I can save up and buy!

If I had to pick one, I would say Cameron - and I would make a pair of longies for my newborn due in June. We don’t know gender and this one is gender neutral, bright, and would match a bunch of cloth diapers and shirts!

  306. Ravelmethis Says:

I couldn’t decide between Erin and Maura. Erin would become either a neck warmer and fingerless mitts or socks. Lovely Maura thinks she wants to be a shawl or maybe a pretty little cardi.

  307. erika~ inspired mama musings Says:

i am in LoVe with jack!!! gorgeous! i would make a scarf or something that i could wear all.the.time!!

  308. Courtney Says:

Very hard to choose!! I would have to go with Maeve…its just so beautiful!! As for a project: something gorgeous and lacy that I could wear everyday as a scarf, or dress up an outfit for a night out!!!

  309. Anna Says:

Very very hard chjouce - i think Clare would make a gorgeous Little Red (pink) Riding Hood for my little girls. :)

  310. LizAnderson Says:

From Devin, Niahl or Clare I’d work the February Lady Sweater. Or die trying!

  311. Sarah Says:

Niall. So rich and beautiful! In a perfect world, I’d make it into a cardigan.

  312. Stephanie Says:

My favorite was Niall, the beautiful deep colors in it would look great in a vest, or sweater I think.

  313. Arlin Says:

Madigan, in enough yardage to make a throw.. For those cold nights :)

  314. Lisa Says:

I would love for Connor to come live at my house.

I would use Conner to make a pair of longies or shorties for my baby boy.

Kate would be fun to play with too. She would make an adorable sweater for my little girl.

  315. Mary Says:

I narrowed it down to three, Maeve, Maura, or Alana, and I’m having a difficult time naming only one! My first choice would have to be Maura, then Maeve, and, finally, Alana. The colors are wonderful and photography fantastic on each of the yarns. I would love to knit a sweater but socks would be quicker!

  316. Tammy Martina Says:

This is a hard choice, I narrowed it down to three Clare, Kieran, and Cian. I would sooo be selfish and make socks for myself.

  317. Jeanie Says:

I know I’m only supposed to pick ONE, but I’d need to have a skein of Erin to make a scarf for my Mom (I owe her one for her birthday!) and for Me, a skein of Kate– to make some gloves! Love those colors.

  318. JulesKim Says:

oooh, I’m having a hard time picking one! If I had to say there was one colorway I cannot live without, it is Madigan, I love Madigan sooooo much!!! I see the most wonderful soaker with skirty using Madigan and something darker for trim.

  319. Gail Says:

This is a tough choice between Madigan and Jack. I am really interested in seeing how they would knit up. I think Madigan would make a great hat and Jack would make an interesting cowl for those early fall chilly days.

  320. Amy Says:

oooh… i want to take all of them home with me! i think right now though i would go for grady, and make a cowl that shows off the beautiful colors!

  321. Marka Eberle Says:

    Definitely Cameron.

I’d use it to trim a shawl-collar, cuffs, and pocket of a cardigan in either the crocus or red.

Or order it in the Wexford for an amazing clapotis.

  322. Melistress Says:

I am totally in love with Devin, Maura and Clare. Given the choice, however, I would pick Devin as that is my 13 year old son’s name and it is the most lovely green ever. I would make him some socks out of the colorway of his name.

  323. Liz Says:

Jan– I’ve been looking for something out of the ordinary for a baby blanket. And if there’s any left over and it’s a fine enough gauge… socks!

  324. KnitstressMary Says:

It has be Maeve. I believe I could wrap my self up in a beautiful shawl made out of that color.

  325. Sarah R Says:

It would have to be the Daffodil…it’s just so bright and cheery. Not the easiest color to wear, though, so at first I thought about socks…I do love socks. But I think I’d make a pair of fingerles mitts or a scarf so that I could see the bright and cheery color easily.

  326. Kim Says:

Clare. It’s a perfect color for a cowl or a pair of socks.

  327. Kathryn Sigman Says:

I love all the new colors! I can”t pick!! Hmm.. Jack is beautiful and Brady is too.

  328. jennifer pace Says:

    I would select Jack.
I wanted to name my 3rd child Jack but the Hubbie went for Jake instead.
The colors are an unpredictable mix that play so well together that they scream ” BUY ME JENNIIFER!!”"

I am a felted bag designer, I would use them to make on of my bag even more special. I’m thinking my 1/2 and 1/2 Bag would be be gorgeous. I would use a solid color to play along with the stunning Jack.

    http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_430xN.57186239.jpg

  329. Penelope Says:

I would pick Maura and make a matching set of glommits (convertable glove/mitts), hat, and scarf. I have to say that choosing just one colorway is really really hard! There are quite a few other colorways like Erin and Connor that I can’t wait to make socks with

  330. Beth Says:

Kieran. Something fantastic. I might make a sweater, or a stole, or something. All your new spring yarns are awesome and it was hard to pick just one.

  331. Lisa Says:

Maeve - socks for sure..but that’s pretty much all I knit anyways.

  332. Brandi Says:

This is like Sophie’s Choice! But if I must, I choose Alana. Those are my favorite shades all together and what I am always drawn to when yarn shopping. In a perfect world (this would be the world where I am a size 6, right?) I would knit Coraline by Ysolda Teague with this beeeeeyoutiful yarn :o)

  333. Shelley Says:

If pressed to pick only one, I would pick Niall and knit up a hat for my mom. However, I would love to knit with the Maguire, Fionn & Cara trio. I can see a warm scarf/hat combo for next winter. While we’re on the cusp of spring here, winter is never far from my knitting mind. And while I could be generous with blue/purple, the blue/greens would have to live with me. Absolutely love them.

  334. Amy Says:

Maeve. I’m in love. A cardigan with short sleeves for myself or my sissy. I can just see the gorgeousness!

  335. Laura Says:

Wow! Your lookbook is absolutely stunning. They are all lovely but Maura stood out for me. I once had a close friend named Maura who would have looked divine draped in a clapotis of Maura. That is what I would knit.

  336. Kristin Says:

Madigan. I’d love to see how that knits up. so funky looking :)
in a perfect world? a sweater for me. I’ll only ever have time to knit one of THOSE in a perfect world, LOL :)

  337. Kristy Says:

They are all so beautiful, it’s hard to choose! My favorite is Clare. I would love to make a spring sweater or a clapotis, for myself of course. It would be too lovely to part with!

  338. Janet Says:

I would have to choose Cameron (although choosing just one is so hard!) I would make Jared Flood mittens and a cowl or hat to wear on an English winter day. The Cameron colourway would remind me of the scorched earth colours and the heat of the sun in Australia and and warm my soul.

  339. Shanna Says:

Connor would be perfect for (sport weight) socks for me….and my birthday’s coming up. ;) Just sayin’.

  340. Amanda Says:

    Maeve. Hands down.

I would make some knit capris for my baby girl to wear over her cloth diapers! With a cute little ruffled hem. Wouldn’t she be adorable?? Wouldn’t Maeve love that? Getting to snuggle up close to my baby girl, and play outside with her? And then be lovingly washed by hand and hung to dry in the warm sun?

oh- my husband just informed me our daughter is not a baby anymore- she is a “toddler”.

  341. Karin Says:

I’d have to choose Maeve. The colors look so wonderful together.

  342. Rebecca Says:

I love almost all the colourways (except the orange one, no offence, I just can’t wear orange without looking jaundiced)

Love the deep colours of the look book, very interesting combos in Jack, Kate & Conor, lovely greens in Devin & Erin.
Depending on the yarn weight I’d either knit up some soakers, scarves/beanies or shawls.

Clare caught my eye almost immediately.
It looks like a 4-ply so I would use it for a shawl or something lacy.
In DK weight I would buy 3-4 skeins to knit the Ridinghood sweater.

  343. emily Says:

I would go with kate or clare. I love any thing with violets, reds, and pinks! I would knit a beret/tam with kate alternating each end and a sock with pretty lace patterns with clare.

  344. Heather N Says:

    I adore!!!! Clare!

I was just going through my yarn stash and realized I have too many varrigated sock yarns… and I was thinking ‘I need to get some more ’solid’ colors!’

So in my perfect knitting world~ I would of course knit socks! xD But to be more specific~ a detailed beautiful intricate cabled or lace pattern, because the ’solid’ color of this yarn would show through! :D

  345. tasha. Says:

I am already in love with Fionn. That beautiful blue, I would use to make a gorgeous, Spring-y and jaunty beret! It would remind me of better weather to come. :)

  346. Mujercita Says:

I LOVE Maude. I think I’d make a hat/neckwarmer set out off it; it would look so pretty against my grey coat!

  347. SarahJanet Says:

I would choose Cian, because my friend’s brand new baby is named Cian! So I would knit him a little wee sweater in his namesake yarn.

  348. MaryEllen Says:

It’s so hard to choose, but I think I like Kieran the best. I recently bought the pattern for the faux-gyle socks, and I think the suble shading of Kieran would suit that pattern well.

  349. Jen Says:

Yum, yum! They are all so bright and lovely, but without a doubt it’s Alana that takes my heart. :) And I would make a simple, fitted, hooded cardigan with small ebony buttons and two front pockets. And seed stitch or doubled cuffs.

Thank you so much for holding this contest!

  350. Rowan Says:

Kieran, it’s such a gorgeous red! I would have to knit a shawl, something with flames! or maybe dragons!

  351. Brenda Says:

Maura is the one that absolutely took my breath away.

I’d make a simple triangular scarf, in silk and merino. I’d work it from the top down, use a really easy lace stitch. Then I’d use a beaded bind off with a solid colored yarn, for a contrasting edge with a dash of bling.

  352. Alicia P Says:

I love Jack! I would have to make my little man some shorts. I love them all…that was difficult picking just one.

  353. Tracy Says:

Yummy “Maura”….these colors just make me feel peaceful. Perhaps a February Lady Sweater would be lovely. Well, just about anything would be lovely with this yarn.

  354. Kari Says:

Grady and Cameron are so yummy! A beautiful hat, scarf or pair of mary jane booties would be fun to knit!

  355. Carole Says:

Maura….maybe some placemats/coasters for my slate table…or maybe use some of my golden’s fur with it for mittens!

  356. Ichun Says:

Brady and Conner to make either the Sursa shawl, a cardigan or the Hourglass sweater.

  357. Courtney Says:

I LOVE Jack - it is so bright and different. I would make some longies for my little man to wear around the house this summer when we turn the air down real low

  358. kimsansf Says:

I would bring home Maguire Fionn and Cara - those blues are just so peaceful. I would knit a shawl with it and love every minute!

  359. Elisabeth Waingrow Says:

I would use Brady and Connor together for a baby sweater and Clare for a lace scarf. Beautiful colors.

  360. Kathy Says:

Devin would delight my green-loving granddaughter. She is a beautiful Irish lass herself!

  361. Emily Says:

I love, love, love Erin. I have an obsession for the color green lately and that would make the most beautiful cable-knit socks.

  362. Teri VanDerLaan Says:

Maeve for a cardigan! Thank you for the contest.

  363. Carol White Says:

I love “Kate”. I’d knit a cute soaker for my granddaughter to wear under her sundresses this summer.

  364. Pamela Fertitta Says:

It was a very difficult decision - but I would pick Madigan and make a cardigan sweater - it would go with everything!

  365. Deb Says:

Love them all and it’s socks for me.

  366. Lynne Says:

I think my favorite is Maeve…it would make perfect knee-high socks for my little girl!

  367. Megan Says:

Kate! I love it! I would make a shawl for my mom who loves red and is named Kate! How perfect!!!!

  368. Jaia Says:

Currently my heart is going out for Erin. She is pleading with me to come to my knitting studio and be lovingly worked up into a gorgeous pair of socks. I’m leaning towards one with a wavy, watery twisted stitch pattern so really highlight the blues and greens in the colorway!

If I could pick more than one, well, Connor, Cameron, and Maura have already been chosen by me and will arrive at my house in a few weeks. So that would mean I’d add Kieran, Cian, Brady, and Kate. Yummy sock madness!

  369. Jennifer Says:

I love so many but I think Kate is my favorite!!!

  370. Teri Says:

I would choose Clare to knit my husband a big, cosy heartwarmer so everyone would know just how special he is.

  371. Marilyn Says:

They’re all gorgeous. but I think I must have Kate. I love the bright, vibrant and yes, girly colors. I think I would need to knit my daughter either a skirt or some ruffle-y capris with coordinating trim. Oooh, I’m getting ideas!

  372. Krissy Says:

    CONNOR!!!! :D

and i would make my daughter the perfect pair of bloomers!

  373. RandomRanter Says:

I’d love to make a great shawl with Erin. Or perhaps a scarf with Kate and Devin…

  374. Amanda Says:

I loooove Clare! The color is just so bright and pretty! I think I’d make a cowl, it’s just such a wonderful color for near the face!

  375. Lisa in Toronto Says:

    Maeve is pretty amazing!
I think it would make for some very cheerful socks.

  376. Shoshana Says:

I am in love with so many of them! I love Niall, Maura, Clare, Maeve, and Madigan. Do I have to have a project? Can’t I just put them in a pile and roll around in them? In a perfect knitting universe, I’d be able to afford enough to do that. ;) Maybe a deep v neck vest in Clare?

  377. Kathleen Says:

    LOVE LOVE LOVE Kate
I would make a sweater for my little one it would match her hearing aids perfectly

  378. Laurie F. Says:

Cian of course! Beautiful, bright, WARM yellow! I would have to keep if for myself as a scarf and fingerless mittens to keep me warm in WI as I’m waiting for the warm weather. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL color!

  379. Glyn Says:

I have to choose Kieran! It’s not only my son’s name, but his (and now my) favorite color! I would either want to make socks or a sweater for my son using it.

    Thank you!

  380. Rebecca K Says:

I would love to bring Cian home with me. It is so colorful and sunny. And is just screaming a tam to me. Something to ward off the cold on a fall or winter day or to help with the chill in early spring.

It would absolutely bring a smile to my face everytime I wore it.

  381. Lyn Says:

Jack! I just love it. It would make a precious hat! And some socks… sweater… a shawl.

  382. Karyn Says:

I love all of the new colors, but find myself coming back to Erin. I’m thinking a lace scarf…

  383. Tracey Says:

All of the colors are beautiful and it is so difficult to choose one. Narrowed it down to two… Devin and Maura. Devin would be a beautiful cardigan for my daughter. Maura would be perfect for a simple pullover like the hourglass sweater or something else to showcase the colors.

  384. Lisa H Says:

Connor would turn into a wonderful blanket.

  385. Pat Mackey Says:

I would love all of them, but I think I’d pick Devon for a neat summer shell. The colors are so fresh and clear they make you think of summer pastures waving in the breeze. Yummy!!!!

  386. Donna Docks` Says:

I’ll bet you had fun showing off all of the beautiful yarns…and they are all gorgeous!!! Creativity at it’s finest!!

  387. laura Says:

I love Kate! Those are my daughter’s favorite colors. a hat, a scarf, a shrug, I see many possibilities.

  388. Yarnardent Says:

In a perfect knitting world I would love to take Cian home in Kells and knit a dress for a little girl. I can see her skipping in the park on a cool spring morning radiating real joy.

  389. Shelley Says:

Niall is my most favorite, and I think it would become my very first pair of knit socks ever!

  390. Kim E Says:

Alana would make the prettiest lace socks! I love them all but when forced to pick one I choose Alana.

  391. Shannon Says:

I would sneak away with Maguire. That shade of blue would be the perfect, and i do mean perfect, Blue to make a hat for my eldest daughter. It would make her blue eyes and blonde hair pop. And she needs and more updated grown up hat for the season to come.

    WONDERFUL new colors, very exciting!!

  392. Mary Kay Says:

I love Kieran. My best friend (who taugh me to knit) is a “Kieran colorway”; she’s both energetic and loves those fiery colors.

I would knit a lacy rectangular scarf/shawl for her.

  393. Theo Says:

    Oh, man…. I love Clare for socks, or a camisole and Niall for a shawl… but dang, there are so many lovelies… C;

  394. stephanie Says:

I love Maeve- it would make fabulous baby socks or a scarf

  395. Sara Says:

    I WANT JACK!!!!!

I don’t know if I could knit anything with it though. I might just have to carry it around petting it and making people look and admire it :)

  396. FP Wear Says:

I’ve had a day. Which means that right now I need the calming Fionn to take home and pet. After thoroughly admiring it from all possible angles, I’d have to crochet myself a soft and cuddly scarf — you know, the kind that’s perfect with a book and some tea.

Of course, ask me on another day, and I’d give you a different answer….

  397. Michelle Says:

I would choose Jack and make myself some socks

  398. Fran Stafford Says:

I love all the blues, can’t decide which is my fav. I can see a ribwarmer in the making.

  399. Isa Says:

Oh those yarns are beautiful! But Erin is my one true love. Reminds me of the Pacific Ocean.

And I’ve love to knit socks with it in Cary’s BFL :-)

    Crossing fingers…..squee!

  400. Andrea Says:

I would pick Jack! I can see my toddler running around at the beach in a pair of shorts knit in Jack. So cute.

  401. Heathir Says:

I would choose Alana, which needs to be a sweet little dress for my Lydia.

  402. Christi Says:

ok i’ve had food poisoning today, and although i’m feeling loads better i’m only semi coherent, so bear with me (and my spelling, which deteriorates tons when i’m sick).

the choices are all soooo beautiful, but if i absolutely had to pick i’d choose niall. we know i’m a sucker for blues & purples, and this colorway is so rich. i love it.

and in an ideal knitting universe i’d make the fountain pen shawl from the spring 09 interweave. this is what my friends and i would call “absolutely gorgey”.

  403. Hiedy Says:

Wow is all I can say, Kieran is a yarn of dreams. The colors are so rich and lively. I would love to make a great slouchy hat or some fab lacy socks.

  404. Rachel Says:

    DROOOOLLLL

I think I like Brady best of all. He would make an adorable Clementine shawlette.

  405. axia Says:

Oh I love the sock yarn and can’t wait to get my hands on some Spring Colours

  406. Carol Says:

They are ALL beautiful but Clare would be my first choice. I would love to make a yummy scarf if I had one skein but if I had many skeins I would make a sweater.

  407. --Deb Says:

Erin. I’m a sucker for blue/green combinations. Although, the sunny yellows in Cian are gorgeous, too. And … well, no, I’ll stop there. Though, the green in Devin is about my favorite color, and the reds/oranges of Kieran sure are pretty, too…

And–for what? Socks are always a good choice, aren’t they?

  408. Shalena Says:

Oh my there were a few that I must buy I can always start my “diet” next week… lol So if I was going to choose just one it would be Maura and it would me made into a shawl!

  409. Valerie Says:

I loved them all!! BUT when I finally got to Cian all the others faded into a fond memory - Cian is absolutely wonderful!! So vibrant, different, positive, sunny! I will have happy, dancing feet forever when I knit it into lovely socks! Of course, I would need more to make a great scarf, too!

  410. Katherine Says:

Clare, Maura, and Niall all seem to be calling my name. In a perfect knitting world, where I have a job, I’d make a sweater from Clare.

  411. Donna Says:

I absolutely MUST knit a “Pretty as a Peacock” shawl in the Erin colorway…..and a Princess Dress for my girls in Clare……They’re all amazing!

  412. Lisa W. Says:

Madigan! It would be a perfect Clapotis for me!!

But seriously, they’r all gorgeous and I can’t wait to get some on roving!!!!!

  413. heather Says:

i love all of them, but i would pick erin. there are plenty i would love to bring home with me, of course, but with erin, i would make a slouchy beret for myself!

  414. Tina Says:

Kate has to come live with me here!! I would make pretty capris out of it :)

  415. Jordana Says:

I love Devin–what a stunning green! I would knit a lace shawl with it, because it would go great with my red hair (yes, I’m Irish!)

  416. Genevieve Says:

There are none I would be unhappy with, though if I was picking just 1 it would have to be Devin. The greens have just enough variation to give great texture and in a perfect knitting worls I would make organic & leaf detailed fingereless gloves and a neckwarmer for biking on cooler days in the spring.

I’m very impressed with they dying.

  417. Rachel Says:

Clare. Love it, love it, love it. I think I would make the Wool Peddler’s Shawl - I think this relatively simply shawl would show off the delicate color changes just beautifully.

  418. Stephanie Says:

You’ve made some really beautiful colorways, I’ve got all sorts of ideas for the different colorways…I’m thinking something beautiful for myself out of Maura.

  419. Jennifer Says:

I love so many of them, but Devin is my fave. I’d make a sweater for my neice.

  420. Chrissy K Says:

How to choose!? Grady or Madigan ? Either way it would be a simle moebius to show off those fabulous colours!

  421. elizabeth Says:

Alana & it would be socks-some pair with a lot of detail!! I love all the others too-esp. Connor, Maura, Brady & Kate. All are so yummy :)

  422. Robin Says:

How to choose?!? I’ll say Maura, for a shawl - or maybe my first sweater.

(But there are a good half-dozen colors that are vying for the runner-up position…)

  423. Teresa Says:

I’d love to have a skein of Connor. That color trio of lime, sky and lilac would make a great vest to go with all the purple I wear!

  424. Debby Smith Says:

I would take “Grady” home. The colors remind me of great beers: Oatmeal Stout, Scotch Ale, and Espresso Porter. There are also Fudge Stout Brownies for dessert. I would knit the “Barfly Pullover” from the book Pints & Purls, Portable Projects for the Social Knitter.

  425. Jackie Hladik Says:

The choices are difficult but it would have to be Clare. I’d knit more socks!

  426. Nikki Says:

Kieran is beautiful. It’s actually completely out of the color range I usually go for (blues and greens), but there’s something about it that just draws me to it. In a perfect knitting universe, I’d make a lace shawl out of it. I think it would be stunning.

  427. Joan Says:

I like all the colors but for some reason I am drawn to Maura. I could see my self making a simple pullover sweater to show off the colors of the yearn.

  428. Ginny Jones Says:

I would pick Cameron because it blends what I like about Kieran & Cian.
I would choose to make a pair of socks or possibly a triangular shawl.

  429. Deborah Glaus Says:

I fell in love with Alana. I think I would carry this around with me everywhere. Then I would knit something wonderful. This one brought me happiness.

  430. valerie Says:

This is a trick question! How could we pick just one??? Well, since I have to pick one, I would pick Cara. It reminds me of a robin’s egg. I would knit a pair of fingerless gloves for walking in the beautiful spring weather with my dog. These colors are gorgeous!

  431. Helene Says:

This is really tough. If I had to pick just one, it would have to be Maeve - I would llove to use it for a wonderful pair of socks!

  432. kayt Says:

I like the softly earthy tones of Maura, and would make a lacy cowl.

  433. Deirdre Says:

Well, I feel a pull towards Maura, being that it’s my middle name and all, but my heart belongs to Jack, whom I think would look fabulous in a pair of Monkeys…

  434. Susie Says:

Thank you for all the beautiful photographs! Your spring lookbook is totally distracting me from my work.

I love Kate and Maeve and think they would make beautiful socks…

However, my favorite is Alana! I can see a summer top or a cardigan with this colorway…something for Spring!

  435. Kara Says:

Erin! I am newly in love with green. It is so springy and fresh. Hmmm, what to make. . . maybe my first pair of socks or a shawl.

  436. Kirsten Says:

Clare or Maura..oooh or Sian…lol for matching longies, cardy and hat for my little girl who will soon be crawling..yayyy

  437. Julie S. Says:

OMG! Which one WOULDN’T I want to bring home with me??!! If I had to pick just one, I”d pick Jack. I love me my greens, but too much green can get old, I just love the colors you mixed in with this gorgeous green! And I think it would make a lovely scarf! I can see I’m going to be in trouble AGAIN!! ;)

  438. emma Says:

Oh, they are all so gorgeous! And the photographs are just spectacular.

    Star light, star bright
    First star I see tonight
    I wish I may, I wish I might
Have MAURA to knit into a shawl so light :)

  439. Susan Says:

I’m in love with Alana - such a soft color. Socks would be awesome. Might I say that I really enjoy the photography/presentation.

  440. Kathy Says:

I love all the colors and the photography is stunning!

  441. Charlotte Dockstader Says:

Love your yarns. I’m partial to your blues - great combinations.

  442. Melissa Says:

In a perfect world I’d use Niall to make a wear-everyday lacy cardigan that fit perfectly. Yum yum! Love the blue-purples!

  443. Chrissy Says:

I would bring home Devin and make a scrumptious pair of spring Monkey socks!

  444. Rachel Says:

The fiery oranges in Kieran are my favorite, but Cian comes close as it is so hard to find such a perfect yellow.

  445. Misty Says:

Clare, so my dream yarn. The perfect color for my complexion :)

    I’d like a pair of gloves, so I imagine that’s what I’d make with it…and socks…and a hat…and…

  446. Beth Says:

I’m all about Alana. Such a pretty color! I would use it to make Shetland Shorty (from IK). I’m going to have a big belly (baby) soon and I think that would be the perfect thing to keep the chill off in my cold office over the summer.

  447. Erin Says:

Well, for obvious reasons I have a particular fondness for Erin. But since I don’t have a specific pattern in mind, I’ll have to say Maeve. I’d use it to knit up a beret from Kristen Kapur’s Lisa’s and Katie’s Beret pattern. Yum!

  448. Suann Says:

Maguire, Fionn and Cara…there’s something about that robin’s egg blue that gets me every time. I’m particularly taken with Maguire. I would probably make a luscious lacy cowl or a small shawlette to tuck in under my black coat. It would stand out so well against the black!

  449. Donna Says:

Maeve will find a wonderful home with me as a Midwest Moonlight scarf from Scarf Style…or if Maeve is unavailable Maura would be equally wlecome…actually it’s like trying to choose just one puppy from an adorable litter of twenty…you want them all but you know you can only have one.

  450. Robin Says:

The Conner is such a wonderful combination of colors. It would be fun to knit a shawl or cape-type covering with it. It would be the perfect complement to my purple hair. :)

  451. Bonnie Says:

Not a easy choice at all! There are so many that call to me. But if I have to pick just one it would be Cian. I would make February Lady Sweater with it. Living in Alaska we spend so much of the year in the cold, dark and snow the bright sunny yellow would be just what I needed mid winter.

  452. Barbara Says:

so many beautiful options…clare, maura, and connor are perhaps my favorites but of all i guess i’d have to choose connor in honor of my grandson of the same name and make a muffler/scarf or a hat.

  453. Laura Says:

Maeve, Niall, and Maura are my favorites. I think I would make any of them into a scarf or gloves so I could enjoy them every day in the winter! Maeve would make fun socks too.

  454. Kristy Says:

Devin is lovely, and I would make some gloves. it’s spring but it’s cold; something in a a bright green with some ladylike details could be a palatable spring alternative to my black leather winter gloves.

  455. Anna Hoffman Says:

The color combinations of your yarn are superb as is the photography.

My favorite is Cameron. I love the spiciness of it. It reminds me of a photo of an Indian spice market I saw.
I would definitely have to knit the yarn into some beautiful socks or some mitts.

    Lovely!

  456. Anne-Marie Says:

My choice would be Devin as it is a healthy colour of balance.

I would knit the softest, most comforting and protective of blankets in which to envelop the most precious - the premature baby.

I choose Devin for for its aesthetic and evocative qualities and I would knit a paradise of clothes for preemies in these luscious shades of green as green is the symbol of hope, growth, regeneration, fertility and rebirth.

Green is the color of nature, fertility, life and is a most restful color which symbolises well being and harmony.

The harmonious strata of colour within Devin epitomises the master healer and the powerful life force of energy and it’s variegated qualities change and transform colours to signify a necessity for growth - the complete power of the colour green, my favourite.

  457. Merri Says:

The colors are so beautiful! Wow! And to pick only one? It would have to be Maura to make a scarf/shawl. I may be the only knitter who hasn’t made a Clapotis. Maura would be a beautiful choice!

  458. Penny Says:

I love Jack! The colors are striking and the combination unique! I would make a lacy scarf or shawl. Something that would definitely get noticed!

  459. piratefred Says:

    Definitely a very difficult choice!!
After much deliberation, I’m going to pick Jack, with Devin running a close second. Jack would be made into a pair of arm warmers with some sort of textured pattern - baubles and ribs maybe? I’m thinking of something like the Belladonna Sleeves from the AntiCraft book, but shorter and a little more understated. Just a little, mind you - I don’t really do understated very well.

  460. Jessica Says:

I love all of the spring colorways, but my current #1 is Cian. I really want to make a BSJ for my brother’s baby from it. Its such a happy color!

  461. LJ Says:

Maura is my favorite. I would knit a little drawstring back to keep my lingerie in when I travel.

  462. Beth Says:

    Conner, it’s amazing.
I would make a hat for myself for my first trip to Colorado later this year. Rarely do I make anything for myself and this would be a treat :)

  463. Pietra Says:

I love Maeve, well, I love MANY if not all of them, but Maeve is my fav. In a perfect world, i’d actually know how to knit really well and I’d knit a sweater or a cardi with Maeve. :)

  464. Robin P. Says:

It’s a three-way tie between Maeve, Jan and Kate. The Maeve and Jan would definitely become socks for me. But the Kate would have to be for my Mum Kate, who likes pink. Great colors Irish Gals!

  465. Jill Says:

I love Maura. I would make my daughter a kimono style cardigan with it. Beautiful!

  466. Marina Says:

Maeve! i think a shawl…or i would stare at it for a long time hoping it would self-multiply :)

  467. Janice Says:

I LOVE Maeve! I’d use it to make a gorgeous scarf in a lacy pattern. Was hard to pick, they’re all beautiful!

  468. Leigh Says:

    Oh, those are beautiful colorways — I don’t think there’s one I don’t like.

I think Devin and Niall are my favorites; I think I’d make a February Lady sweater with either one of them. But then Devin might also look really pretty as some Bavarian twisted stitch fingerless gloves too.

I really like Kieran too — I think it would make a beautiful lacy wrap.

  469. Little Rock Star Says:

Alana is the best. So gentle & pink. I would make a cowl or a tiny triangular shawl to tie around my neck. It would bring back the blush in the cheeks that dissapeared over the long, cold winter. This is the colour of spring!

  470. Seema P. Says:

I don’t even know how any fiber lover can choose just one colourway. That is by far one of the best yarn displays/catalogues/books I’ve seen.

I would love to do a simple, stockinette cardigan (with ribbed edges, and perhaps a lace panel along the bottom) in the Devin colourway. It is fresh, and very appropriate for Spring! If I didn’t have enough for a cardigan, some leafy armwarmers would be wonderful as well.

  471. Marci Says:

In a perfect world, I think all of them. But if I have to choose only one, I’d make a scarf from Cara.

  472. Sherilyn Says:

I’m a big fan of Kieran. It would make a gorgeous Leaf Lace Shawl

  473. Mona Says:

It’s a toss up for me. I love Jack and Maeve. I want Jack for shorts possibly longies for my youngest ds. I want Maeve for some socks.

  474. Marie Says:

I think I fell in love with each one of them, but Jan is the one I want to take home and pet. It’s the bright orange in a sea of blue that made me smile.

If the skein is unending (or if I could have more than one skein), I would knit myself a cabled cardigan with it.

  475. Adriana Says:

I want the niall for some lovely socks

  476. Signe Says:

Ooh, what a gorgeous LookBook. Makes it nearly impossible to choose just one
    But
I’d choose Jack and I’d make the Country Kiddie top by Pxie Purls for my 9 mo daughter

  477. Juliee Says:

I’m in love with Clare.Funny, that’s my oldest daughter’s name too:) This long winter calls for a beautiful shout of color. Hard choice though. Love so many of them! Are you the photographer? Your pics really capture the beauty of the yarn.

  478. Omar Bentley Says:

I have three daughters. Clare, Katie and Kieren so they are the ones I would choose and I’ve already told them that this is “The Year of the sock” So socks it is!!

  479. Kelly Says:

    Yes.

Oh, okay… if I had to pick just one, it would be… um… Maura. They’re all lovely, but Maura strikes me as the quiet kid in the bunch. The one who’d rather sit in the corner and read and is admired as “such a well-behaved child.”

Not to mention that this colorway would make a lovely Baltic Sea Stole.

    But that’s just me.

  480. Teresa Says:

I’d choose Jack and make a pair of Firestarter socks with him.

  481. Brenda Says:

All of the yarns are beautiful, but if I had to chose, it would be Niall and would knit a little tank for my daughter.

  482. Lisa B Says:

My absolute favorite is Niall… it would make a beautiful sweater, or shawl… quite a few beautiful things actually!

  483. Karen Says:

    I love the Alana.

  484. Megan D Says:

I love Maeve. I think I’d have to make something for myself. I’m leaning towards some Maeve fingerless mitts for next Winter.

  485. Kelsie R Says:

Maeve is my fave! (that is, if I have to choose just one) Thinking matching toddler socks and baby booties for the kiddos.

  486. Marnie Nickelson Says:

I would love LOVE LOVE to knit with Jack…..of course what Jack would want to become I don’t know, something lovely though no doubt, even tied in a big knot Jack would be stunning!!

  487. Rhonda Says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the new LookBook!!!!!!!!
I give a thousand kudos to whomever put together the yarn with the props. It was so well done, that it made me want nearly every single one!! If I have to pick just one, I would love for MAURA to come home with me. It looks like a beautiful mix of muted pastels with neutrals. Sooo pretty!

  488. Erica Ferguson Says:

I love them all. Devin and Erin both call to me. They want to be knit up into a beautiful stole. They both inspire me to create my own pattern.

  489. Megan M. Says:

Oh,so hard to choose! I think I’d pick Connor and make longies for my baby girl. But I love Madigan, Ian, and Jack too! I think I’ll have to splurge again one of these days soon. Such wonderful new colorways!

  490. Misty Thomas Says:

Kieran is the clear winner here. The colors of saffron and turmeric and brick bring to mind warm summer evenings. This yarn begs to be a Luna Moth shawl, draped around one’s shoulders while sitting against a log by the firepit on the beach.

  491. frieden Says:

I like those subtle earthy colors in Maura.
It could be a warm scarf for me.

  492. Joni Says:

Niall - and I would make a rectangular shawl that I could wrap up in when experiencing summer air conditioning!

  493. Kimberly Says:

It was difficult to decide between Erin and Ian, but Erin would be my choice, such beautiful colours that make me think of spring. The very early green colours in spring.

What would I make? A hat, just for me.

  494. Renate Says:

I love them all. I would knit socks with each colorway. I love Devin for a sweater and hat set for my new grandson coming in July.
    Renate

  495. Cristyn Says:

If I had to pick only one, I’d pick Maura and make a February lady sweater with it. I really love all the combinations, though. Gorgeous.

  496. Samantha Says:

If I had Fionn in fingering weight, I would make an Ishbel. Beautiful!!!!

  497. Serenity Says:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE KATE. I don’t know exactly what I would make, but after all the stuff I knit for the kids, it would be something just for me!

  498. Elizabeth Says:

    Connor. Socks!! :)

  499. Cynthia Says:

pick one? oh dear that is extremely difficult, they are all so beautiful. but……
Alana, in a beautiful spring cardigan sweater, some lace edging perhaps, or all over eyelet lace, with tiny glass buttons

or a small lace shawl in Cian to wear over a denim shirt on cloudy days, when you need some sunshine.

  500. Jessica Hicks Says:

Erin would make gorgeous socks. I’d love to kick off my shoes in a grassy park and read a book in the sun.

  501. Melanie Shepard Says:

Socks with Cameron if I had to pick just one. They are beautiful!

  502. Kelly Says:

I would choose Maura and make some socks that took advantage of the delicate colors.

  503. Karen Says:

I would like to make someone’s day. I’ve got a coworker who is just flat-out having a rough year. Since she’s also a knitter, I’d like to give her some beautiful yarn (maybe it will distract her enough to make her happy for a little while). I think the soothing, yet bright greens of Devin would fit the bill nicely…

  504. Tara Says:

Such lovely yarn. I must admit that I had not been aware of your company until I saw the thread on Ravelry but I’m glad to learn of it! Site bookmarked for future use.

  505. michi Says:

Okay, hands down it would be Grady! In a perfect universe, I would bring enough home with me to make a lap blanket to keep me warm and cozy during Spring, Fall and Winter. In the real world tho’, I could never imagine using such luscious yarn for something that wouldn’t be worn in public. Thanks for letting me dream :)

  506. Susan S Says:

Maguire is dying to be a sweater for me…probably a cabled pullover to snuggle in all winter.

  507. Michele Says:

So many great picks, but Clare just jumped out at me. I’d like to make a lacy scarf or neck tie. Something small, with a lot of zing!

  508. Conchita Newman Says:

I just ADORE Maura. It’s divine! I think I would knit a cute little shrug or capelet. All of the new colorways are gorgeous!!! TIG never disappoints!!

  509. Krista B. Says:

Definitely without a doubt Jack. When I can stop staring at it ; that would make a lovely summer halter-top for me and an awesome soaker for my son Atticus.

  510. jooney Says:

I would use Cian to knit a Cherry spring cardigan.
Or Kieran to knit an Eleonora shrug or Garter Yoke Cardi.
    It’s a toss-up :o)

  511. Alice Wright Says:

Wow…in a perfect world, huh? Hmmmmm…definitely socks, maybe a sweater, hat, scarf, mittens. Can I just say all of the above? Kate could magically jump in my hands or maybe Grady. maybe Maeve or even Madigan. It would be very hard to narrow the field from there.

  512. Amber Says:

Ummm… pick only ONE??? I like them ALL!! And right now, today, this minute I have three favorites. BUT to answer your question precisely I think I would say Maeve. A sweater in this color would look adorable on my 2 yo dd, maybe EZ’s February baby sweater. :)

  513. Katie Says:

I’ve looked at the book over and over, and I keep changing my mind. I love Maguire, and while I have a lot of great handpaints in my sock stash I realize more and more I love the look of a great semisolid. However, Kate matches my name and is a lovely color….And Grady makes me think of a cold glass of Guiness Stout. Decisions, decisions. The lookbook is breathtaking, and I hope you do one every time you release a new collection.

  514. Amy B. Says:

They’re all gorgeous, but the one I love, love, love, is Connor. it looks like it wants to be mittens.

  515. Corrie Says:

I am just beginning to embrace sock knitting, and would love to try a pair in Erin!

    All the colors are gorgeous.

  516. Linda Hanford Says:

Maguire, Fionn and Cameron (the turquoise suite) are my absolute favourites although they are all lovely!

  517. Amy M. Says:

I love the intensity of Niall. It would become socks, or a sweater if I had enough!

Stunning colors in all of them!

    Maeve also tempts me. :)

  518. Sandy T Says:

I adore Alana right now because I’ve just found out I’m having a baby girl. I think the colour would make a pretty baby sweater!

  519. Tracy Pires Says:

I would choose Jack, hands down. It reminds me of the sun setting on the coast of the Pacific northwest with the ocean waves crashing against the evergreen covered coastal cliffs. Stunning! I’m guessing I would probably make a shawl or stole to warm myself as the sun goes down…

  520. Jessica Says:

I have been looking for the perfect yarn for February Lady Sweater and Fionn is just what I have been looking for.

  521. Joyce Says:

Cian! Without a doubt! Have to agree with everyone that they are all beautiful but Cian is my fav with Maura coming in second. Thanks to the chance to win yarn!!!

  522. Aleen Caplan Yamasaki Says:

My favorite keeps changing (but I am so not a brown person, so that helps elimiinate some-as long I try not to remember that my daughter likes brown very much). But at the momement I will say Madigan. But it is a tough choice.

  523. Heidi Says:

    Without a doubt, Maeve. It’s just such a great combination of colors. I’d make a sweater . . . hooded, I think.

  524. Becky B Says:

Kieran wants to come home with me! It’s so lovely I just want to devour it. I think it would make a beautiful lacy scarf that will remind me of Summer sunsets even in the dark of winter!

  525. Melissa Barton Says:

    I love the “M” names,
    Maura
    Maeve
    Madigan

But, I have to say that Maeve speaks to my love of water-colors and the beautiful sea here in the Pacific North West.

I would make the most perfect cardigan for myself and I’d wear it forever!

  526. Gretchen Says:

As I click through the pages I think, “That’s the one! No, that one! Or maybe that one….”

They’re all so lovely! But at this very moment I will say Madigan.

  527. Michelle Says:

I love Maeve. I think I would make a yummy pair of socks. All of the colors are very lovely though!

  528. Valerie Says:

I love many of them but I think I could be monogamous with Clare. i have bright red hair and the pale blue veined skin that sometimes goes with it so Clare would look great on me and me with her. So give a little boost to a nice red head, even if she’s only passing for Irish.

  529. Marete Steger Says:

I just have to have Maeve. What would I make? Socks for me but of course. Which ones I am not sure. But I know I would find something wonderful.

  530. Monika Says:

My favorite is Jack. But all the others are gorgeous too.

  531. Stefanie Says:

I would make my daughter a sweater from Kate- what a gorgeous combo of colors! And to not leave out my son, I’d make him a sweater out of Connor. They’re all gorgeous, but those two especially make me smile. :)

  532. Donna Gerber Says:

How do I pick? They are all gorgeous! Since I can only pick one though, I’d have to pick Connor and make something for my almost 1 yr. old granddaughter. The colors would really complement her beautiful blue eyes (which she happens to get from the Irish side of her daddy’s family).

  533. Lauren Says:

It was hard to choose but I think I would NEED to have Devin and I would make a lacy scarf to go with my spring coat.

  534. Linda Guzman Says:

I love Maeve. A wonderful mix of colors! I can see this yarn making the best socks! I like all your colors, but I really really like Maeve! I hope I win!

  535. Jennifer Says:

Love the blue-green trio. They remind me of the Caribbean, my favorite place in the world.

My fave would be Fionn - I’m guessing that’s the midtone? I would knit a wrap for my family to share for cool evenings on the beach. Mmmmmmm…..

  536. Monique Says:

I would pick Kate and I would make one of EZ’s surprise sweaters out of it. Thanks!

  537. Marina Says:

Hands down, Jack. It would be a sweater for my middle guy, Joey. Maybe a hoodie?!

  538. Dehbi Says:

Niall is my favorite, although choosing is very, very hard. Your colorways are all richly saturated and lovely and irresistible and yummy and….o.k., I’ll stop.

I would have to make some sort of gorgeous shawl so that I could share that color with the whole world as I wrapped it around my very own self and wore it everywhere!

  539. kelly Says:

They all are exquisite, absolutely gorgeus. I love them all, but my top two are Kieran, Grady and kate. Kieran reminds me of a sunset. I would make an elegant lacy like shrug with this one with a matching purse to be worn with chocalate brown dress or jeans. Kate reminds me of a jar full of candy, bright lucious colors that make you want to grab a hand full. This one would be a hat, scarf and gloves. Grady reminds me of my favorite drink and my favority drink additive. A tall hot cup of coffee with caramel sauce and whipped cream. I’d make a vest with a matching hat with this one. thanks for not limiting us to only one….=>

  540. Carolyn Ross Says:

I am torn between several of the amazing options but would pick Maura. It would become a Spring hat, since you still need one hear until mid-April.
    Thank you for the contest.

  541. Jessica Brown Says:

Clare, no question. I have been looking for yarn just that color to make myself a Feb. Lady Sweater! Love them all.

  542. SkullBliss Says:

All the colors are beautiful but the second I saw Kate she stole my heart. I’d either make her into a sock in progress bag so she could go everywhere and be seen by everyone. Or I would knit a long sleeve sweater. Cream for the body and Kate for the sleeves and accents.

  543. Angela Says:

I love Kate and I would make my daughter a sweater or dress.

  544. Molly Says:

I think Maura in that beautiful silk blend you have would rock as these rocking arm warmers called Toast.

How awesome would it look with just a simple plain oatmeal colored tee shirt, and a dark pair of jean with some brown boots…

    rawr. want. hard. shoot… if i dont win… i might just buy…

  545. Lynn McManus Says:

    Brady makes my heart sing.

  546. iamtheinfidel Says:

I love the NIALL, the colors are so perfectly blended!
I would love to make a cardigan with this yarn, but I would settle for an awesome pair of mittens.

  547. Cindy Says:

Ohhh…so many beautiful colors. So hard to pick just one. I would love Alana for a beautiful summer sweater. It makes me think of the beach.

  548. Gillian Says:

Jack. Without a doubt. It just sings to me.

I think maybe a bag. A felted handbag.

  549. Lauren Says:

I would have to say Devin…it’s the most beautiful green I’ve ever seen! Maybe it’s because I want to see Spring’s green grass and buds on the trees…but it just looks so appealing. I love the subtle yet vibrant shading…just gorgeous!
I would make socks with Devin, maybe something textured and fabulous from Cookie A’s upcoming book.
The Look Book is so beautifully styled…plus all the new colors…WOW!

  550. DaNielle Says:

I love both connor and clare, I would love to make my new baby a gorgeous pair of capris or longies with it :)

  551. Jackie Says:

Clare is love at first sight. It would be perfect for a February Lady Sweater!

  552. Beth Gray Says:

Ooooohhh, Kieran for sure, and made into a beautiful shawl to spice up my somber suits! And there are at least two others that would make me very happy as well!

  553. Jeanne Says:

Maura! Beautiful colors, subtle shades, looks warms, and inviting.
Great collection of colors, each one more beautiful than another.

  554. Nancy Says:

I’d choose the Erin yarn and make myself a bra and some undies…its cold here in Canada ;)

  555. angela Says:

I would probably choose either Kate or Connor for some pretty summer shorties!

  556. Cindy Says:

Maura, Maura, Maura. I think I would do just what you did with it! I would put it in some Easter eggs and admire it. It is luscious. The colors call to my soul and give me comfort. After admiring it for awhile I would probably buy some more of the same color and knit up a short sweater, shawl or shrug. Those colors are SO me! (and I agree, I think this lookbook is your best work, love the photostyling)

  557. Catherine Says:

I adore the blue-green trio of Maguire, Fionn and Cara. I’m thinking after this next baby girl is born, the sparkling yarn trio may inspire me to spend the summer days outside playing with my trio of girlies and making them each a wee scarf for their fall wardrobes. (And perhaps a matching one for their dollies!)

  558. Vicky Says:

Cameron - I would make a beautiful cabled Cherry Garcia cowl just perfect for a cold winter day.

Your lookbook is beautiful - it makes me want a skein of each color!

  559. Beth Says:

I would have to say Niall is my fave and I’d make a lace shawl with it.

  560. Lisa Says:

I LOVE Brady!! I would want to make a poncho with it for my almost 2yo dd!!

  561. Jennifer G. Says:

I would love love love to bring home a skein of Kate. All of the new colorways are great, but Kate looks like a great spring colorway to knit up. I would probably make a cute hat out it. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

  562. knittymuggins Says:

Wow! They are all so beautiful and so stunningly photographed! I would have to choose “Kate”. It’s just so…… me ;) And what would I make with it? Probably a super cute hat or cowl. Something fun & spunky just like Kate is!

Thanks so much for the fun contest & the super fantastic Look Book!

  563. Cindy P. Says:

    It would have to be Maura. I would knit a pillow that would “support” me while I knit. Besides, the colors match my couch. ;~}

  564. Gayle Says:

I love Clare, and I’d love to use it for the cabled fingerless gloves that I’ve recently been making for the fiber art gallery that I belong to. Those colors would certainly warm up your hands!

  565. Suzanne Says:

Oooh, it’s so hard to decide! There are a few I would love for socks–especially Madigan. But, if I had to pick JUST one it would be Alana for a small, lacey shawl. Yum. Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful new colorways.

  566. Laura Says:

I love, love, love Cameron!!! It would make a beautiful lacy scarf or light sweater, for me, of course! ;)

  567. Kay Says:

I am in awe! I see a calendar in the making! Your presentation is wonderful. I would knit myself a beautiful sweater. My four favorites are Erin, Niall, Clare and Maeve. Difficult choice, but I would choose Maeve. Thanks for the opportunity.

  568. Clarissa Says:

If I could only choose one, it would be Madigan and it would be knitted into longies for next fall.

I would also love to have Jack and Kate for socks. (and longies, lol)

  569. Clement Says:

I love Grady, it reminds me my favorite drink, coffee! And I think it would be a great, fashionable color for guys! I would crochet it into a neck warmer. :-)

  570. Nancy Says:

WoW! First, the photography is beautiful and is only matched by the colors themselves. There are at least half a dozen that I would love to knit but I kept coming back to Jack. I would love a skein to make fingerless gloves.

  571. Karen Says:

The pictures are beautiful, like something out of a fine living magazine. I’ve never used hand dyed yarn before either. This is so exciting.

I love that pretty pink blue and green one, Kate, on page 5. I’ve always mixed browns with red tones, but I’ve never thought of adding green. How pretty.

I’d most definately use this to knit a purse, coffee cozy, and wristwarmers. Coco beans, with a spash of color. Love it!

  572. Cathie Says:

Love your colorways! Beautiful. If I had to pick a favorite I’d have to say Maeve would make a beautiful sweater, or scarf or socks even.
But a runner up would be Clare to make a great wrap or awesome socks too.

  573. Mary Bethel Says:

Alana is breathtaking and would make the perfect spring shawl.

  574. Melinda Says:

    I love Jack!

  575. Linda W Says:

Clare is the color I can’t live without. That vibrant raspberry would look fantastic as a lace shawl, or a sweater, or a hat and scarf set, or a baby sweater, or an afghan, or just about anything! But I think I’d make the lace shawl first. :-)

  576. Jennifer Dodd Says:

    Keiran!!!!

I love it - Orange is my favourite colour and I need a project for me! I’d love to make a pair of fingerless gloves for chilly spring mornings- when I’m out shooting a session, my fingers need some warmth to make it through!

  577. lpnmon Says:

Ian would make great longies. (I can think of a project for each wonderful color!)

  578. Audra Says:

Maeve, Jack, Ian , Maguire, Cian

I’d make gloves out of Maeve, a cowl out of Jack, a shrug out of Ian, a scarf out of Maguire and socks out of Cian.

And I had to LIMIT myself to five.

  579. Vanessa Says:

I’d definitely choose Maguire to knit into some complicated cabled mittens. The color would be fantastic against the grey of winter.

    Thanks for the contest!

  580. Cathy Says:

Erin! In a beautiful, open, lacy shawl coverup for a cool tropical moonlight walk on the beach.

  581. Susan Barnhorst Says:

What gorgeous colors — so hard to choose just one! If I have to have only one, I guess it would have to be Cian for a bright and cheerful summer cardi!

  582. Heather Says:

I would love to bring home Erin! I think I would probably make a light lacy spring scarf or shawl with that colorway.

  583. Katherine W Says:

I love so many of them, but Erin is my favorite. I love Kate, Devin and Grady as well!

  584. Tara Says:

    Kate! I love it. :)

  585. Lisa in TX Says:

Brady, in something lacy w/ little bit of subtle cabling to create a stole that looks like a rippling stream.

Oh, and when it comes to odds, if you’re giving away 20 skeins 20/100 is the same as 1/5. The difference is that in a pool of 100 you have 20 shots of winning something with bad odds, rather than 1 shot at winning something with good odds. Statistically, it’s exactly the same; mentally, most prefer getting that extra shot, no matter what the odds.

  586. Carolyn Says:

Looks awesome! My favorites are Erin, Kieren, Niall, & Cameron. Such lush colors!

  587. J Oakley Says:

Oooh, I like your Lookbook (great name!) It was close, but Alana takes it for me…I see it as a lovely spring cardigan that would go with everything.
And Kate would make great socks.

  588. Leila Says:

mmm, I would definitely make a hat with Jack.

  589. Mel Says:

Want them all. Love the new colours.

  590. April Says:

I would definitely pick Niall! It’s gorgeous and would make a beautiful cowl for damp spring days and cool nights.

  591. Jennifer Gillick Says:

All are beautiful! I LOOOVE Kate!!

I would use it to make my first pair of socks!!!

  592. Angela Says:

It is so hard to narrow it down, but I love the 3 blues together - Maguire, Fionn & Cara - I think they would make a beautiful baby blanket for a boy.

  593. Dawn Says:

They’re all fantastic, but if I have to pick just one? I’d pick Maura and make a lacy wrap out of it.

  594. Thao Nguyen Says:

What an incredibly beautiful inspiration collection. Love it!

  595. Lobug Says:

All so beautiful. But Erin just jumps out at me and the others pale in comparison. Maybe it’s because it just looks like spring and summer to me- and I am over the winter!
I would so love to make a light, lacy little vest with it. Something to really evoke bright spring/summer days and the greens and colors popping out everywhere.

  596. Polina Rikoun Says:

I would pick Jack and make a big shawl. I’d swatch to see what lacy or solid pattern would compliment the colors. It is such an unusual color combination, so unexpected, but it works brilliantly. A true head-turner. But, really, this was a very hard choice to make. I loved most of the colors, and it was a hard choice between Jack, Cameron, Kieran, Alana, and Maura.

  597. Mary H Says:

It’s so hard to choose just 1, But I think it would have to be “Alana” to make some socks for my sister.

  598. Kim Says:

Alana really wants to come home with me! It would morph into something lacy and girly just for me like a wrap/scarf. Love those colors, but honestly, there were so many awesome colorways it was difficult to choose. Wonderful job Sharon!

  599. Rebecca Says:

It’s so hard to choose just one. If I have to I’d choose Maura and I’d make some exquisite fingerless mitts with them with lots and lots of cables!

  600. Jessica Says:

My word, such awesome yarns!!! I’d take a whole pile of them if I could, but my top choice is the first one, the lovely Erin, followed closely by Jack. Erin would make a fabulous lace scarf for everyday wear and it contains such fabulous hues of green and teal. But they’re all gorgeous!

  601. Rachel Says:

Your Lookbook is fabulous and the photography just makes everything look terrific! While all of the colors are fabulous, my first choice would be Cameron. It would make a lovely cowl or maybe a clapotis

Thanks for this contest! Your yarn is simply lovely!

  602. Nancy Says:

I think I would pick Jack or Alana because they are a very different pallette than I usually pick for my projects. They would be used for a pair of finger-less gloves which I wear everyday to work in my garden. And if there is any left over, probably a pair of peds for my garden clogs!
*****I love every one of your new colors*****

  603. ikkinlala Says:

I love most of the colours, so it’s really hard to choose, but if I had to pick just one it would be Devin and I’d use it for a pair of Interlocking Leaves socks.

  604. melissa hinson Says:

I would choose Kate! Just beautiful, bright, and has a real energy about it. I would love to make a vest or baby sweater from that colorway.

  605. Camilla Says:

What absolutely gorgeous photographs! All of the colors are lovely, and I had a hard time narrowing it down. There are 3 pages that just stood out to me-

    Kieran- for a lacy shawl
Cian- for an extremely cheerful pair of cabled socks
and the trio of Maguire, Fionn and Cara (you can’t break them up- they look so perfect together) for a cuddly gradual color changing sweater

If I absolutely had to pick just one, I guess I would say Kieran.

  606. Suzanne Everett Says:

Love Jack! Love how bold it is. I would knit for myself cause I never do. As for what I would knit . . . perhaps a nice cabled headband or hat.

  607. JC Says:

I really really love Kieran and Erin. With Kieran I would make a cowl, Erin is a color I would use for socks- tall ones with lots of lacework. And Reinforced heels.

god, i want them! there’s some really really great colorways!

  608. Mollie Says:

I love them all!! I’m not very picky when it comes to 3IG colorways.

  609. pamelamama Says:

I have this project in mind:

    http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/stay-put-wrap

and I think either Erin or Devin would be best suited.

    But maybe Kieran.

I’m looking for your opinion on the matter.

  610. Liz Says:

Kieran is the one for me!! He could jump into my queue and be made up into some goreous socks that would be totally unlike anything that I have now! These socks would be ready to roll for fall, and pumpkins, and turkey….

  611. Jen Says:

I would love to do something in Devin. Preferably a shawl.

  612. Michelle Alanis Says:

Devin would look great on me in a cute half vest for summer!

  613. Angela Cote Says:

Niall…I would make a lovely, lovely scarf or shawl! The lookbook is beautiful!

  614. Debbie LuBien Says:

It is tooo hard to choose, but I think Ian. I am not sure what I would make–just looking at these colors make me happy

  615. Crystal Says:

Oh to choose only one…I think Niall would make a lovely sweater.

  616. Shannon Says:

    My absolute fave is Madigan!
It would make perfect fall longies for my DD :o)

  617. booksandlibretti Says:

It’s hard to choose! I’d love Kieran for a scarf or wrap, or maybe Devin for a light spring cardigan. Cian is tempting too — I’m just not yet sure how I’d use it!

  618. Laura P Says:

Maeve is my favorite! I think I would make a scarf or cowl — something I could wear all winter.

  619. Vicki B. Says:

I’m loving them all but I think I love Grady the most. It would make an absolutely beautiful shawl!

Jack would make a great pair of socks. :)

  620. Tabitha Says:

Maura…it is destined to keep me warm, and cheerful. I adore the warm colors paired with peeps of spring! A shawl, a sweater, a vest…or even socks. I can feel the warmth already!

  621. Wambura Says:

I like so many of the yarns.

I LOVE Madigan and Maeve and would make a skirt or tank top.

I also really like Niall and Erin and would make socks with them.

  622. Susie Says:

I would love to knit a lovely dashing red scarf with Claire! This would give me the oolala that would make all the boys whistle!

  623. Megan Says:

If I HAVE to pick…it wouldbe Maura.
I would make my daughter a sweater!

  624. Jenny N Says:

I love Maura and think it would make a breathtaking shawl or lap blanket.

  625. Gayle Garland Says:

I loved all of the threads. At first I thought Maeve was my favorite and then I spied Jan and then Devin–I’ve decided they are all gorgeous. I envision some socks or a lovely cowl or maybe a light shawl. I would be honored to have any of your threads. The photography is also amazing.

  626. Lisa Says:

Hard choice, but I think I’d choose Clare and make a perfect, wear anytime cosy cardigan for myself! :)

  627. bunnysquirrel Says:

Definitely Niall, but Brady is a close second! I love semisolids and subtle color variations. What to make is a tougher call but would probably be a squishy sweater of some sort.

  628. Traci Kennedy Says:

I love love love Jack. It shows greens and oranges in harmony- the would be perfect world of Ireland. I would make Rowan some longies and celebrate our heritage.

  629. Judy Says:

All so beautiful! Jack and then Jan.

  630. Katie Says:

If I had to pick just one….I would pick Jack. I love, love, love the colors. I would make a cabled hat/scarf/mitten set. Just enough spunk to add brightness to a dreary winter day. Or, ya know, Kate, because I like anything that almost shares a name with me :)

  631. Paige Says:

Oh, how I love Kate! I would knit me up some fun and funky Kate socks! Who am I kidding? I love most of those colorways but Kate really stood out to me!

  632. Benne Says:

So many of these colors speak to me but I love Maura for its softness, like a misty morning when the colors are muted. I would make a hooded cape or a hooded sweater so I could blend into the forest. I also love Jack for its bright interplay of color. I would make a cheerful cardigan to warm me on a cold winter day.

  633. Christina Says:

I’ve been in a very yellow mood lately….so I would definately pick Cian. I think I would make a cardigan.

  634. Linda Says:

They are all absolutely gorgeous! But I love cameron. It would make a very nice scarf for anytime wear. Love the color blends!

  635. Kate Burke Says:

I’d have to say “Madigan,” however “Kate” would also be fun to knit with! I think I would make a top for my daughter. All of them are beautiful!

  636. Rebecca Gordon Says:

Oh, so hard to say. But I think it’s got to be Kieran. Those flames just lick my soul.

As for the pattern, I think it would be Reverie from the Spring 2009 Knitty:

    http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring09/PATTreverie.php

  637. jenny Says:

Hi! thanks for the chance to win.
i’d choose Alana in fingering weight for a lace scarf.
    (probably one from knitspot)

  638. Marianne Ahokas Says:

Ooh. Such gorgeousness. But I have to go with Maeve, with which I would make a KILLER pair of gloves.

  639. heidi Says:

Ii’ve ordered many yarns from you all over the years. Right now i’d pick Kieran and make some socks for myself. It has probably been a decade since I knit something for myself so I think it would be grand to have some bold socks to amuse myself with.

  640. Beth Says:

Lovely yarn, how would one ever choose?

  641. Billie Says:

    Maura.

    EZ seamless yoke henley.

Or a felted nest to put Easter eggs

  642. Lauren Says:

I’d have to say Alana and Devin are my two favorites (together, the names sound like a soap opera couple!).

Alana would become the Spiral Yoke Sweater by Meg Swansen and Devin would be a lacey, clingy summer camisole or dress.

Oh if only, if only I had the budget and the time. Heck, just give me the budget, I’d make the time!

  643. Linda Says:

Oooh I need Alana! The colors are so warm and comforting, just beautiful! I think I would make a gorgeous shell out of it.

  644. Kate Says:

As of right this minute, Maeve, and as of right this minute, some sort of luscious sweater.

(They are ALL beautiful - even the colors I don’t like are beautiful!)

  645. Misty Ostrowski Says:

Maura and Devin. I am honestly 100% torn between the two. I have been wanting to make the clapotis from knitty for a while, but have been searching for colorways that I think would look best with my style of clothing, and I think either would just be glorious. I like then each for different reasons, but both because although Devin is quite vibrant, they are both very natural at the same time. I would enjoy knitting either because in their own way would suit my wardrobe nicely, whether I am feeling in a more subdued mood (Maura) or a feisty energetic mood (Devin).

All of the yarn, though, is GORGEOUS. The photography is phenomenal!

  646. Jennifer Says:

Madigan, without a doubt; what beautiful, modern colors.

I would knit an autumn skirt and matching ponco for my daughter.

  647. Jen Says:

I have one word for you! Clare! All the way…Clare! :-)

I would knit an outspoken, extra-verted and cheeky scarf with it. It would have frills spilling everywhere and have attitude galore.

To top it off, I’d wear lipstick to match. Naturally!

  648. Jackie Says:

OMG! The colors are beautiful. I had to go through the Spring Lookbook not once but three times over the past two days. I happened to be on the website on Sunday and found it. I love Cian as daffodils are my favorite flower. Such a happy color.

  649. Jan Says:

Grady would so be a french press warmer to keep my chai warm, and handwarmers to hold my coffee in a caramel cup…and a scarf to keep me warm while the coffee was brewing…

  650. Christine Says:

As always the greens are my favorites, so Erin is pretty high up there, Devin is pretty, I wouldn’t push Jack out of my knitting basket…but then there is MAURA and she is just leaving me speechless….to hold her…to have enough to knit a sweater….I can smell the lavender and the moss and a hint of fresh peppemint…A PIECE OF ART!!

  651. Cheryl_M Says:

Maura is all the colors I gravitate towards, but I’m trying to branch out. That’s the one I would grab first, carry around for a while, then talk myself in to buying it and something a little broader.
Maeve looks like she wants to be a diagonal eyelet sock. That’s the skein I would buy with Maura and probably knit sooner. But Maura is my first love.
As for what I would make with Maura, probably a Seaweed Sock or some other mostly stockinette lace pattern to show off the lovely colors with their similar values. Fun contest!

  652. Jenny Says:

Beautiful yarn, photography and elegantly designed pages. I have many favorites in your colorways. Truly gifted at blending colors and creating moods that are so tangible you can taste and smell it. Thanks for sharing! Will look forward to more and more!

  653. Kulli M Says:

    Would like scarf in Grady.

  654. Katie Says:

I would LOVE to get my hands on some Cian to knit a February Lady Sweater. It’s such a bright and cheery color!

  655. Gail Says:

I would choose Maura to make a beautiful shawl to cover my shoulders while sitting out on the veranda this summer!

  656. Sharon Says:

    I love Kate!!!

In a perfect world, I would make either a sweater for my daughter or a pair of socks for myself. Considering that I am still a beginner knitter…in my “real world” I would make my daughter a new blanket. She is starting to outgrow her pastel baby blankets and needs a big girl blanket with big girl colors!

    Good luck to everyone!!!

  657. Sarah Says:

Clare is my favorite. I think that I’d do something where it’s close to my face…a pretty scarf or maybe a contrasting color with a rich gray for a top.

    Everything is really beautiful!

  658. Marga Says:

What a difficult thing to do, pick only one from this gorgeous bunch, I pick Connormaevejack! Since I have a baby on the way I would make something wee from any of these delicious yarns for the new addition.

  659. Rachel Boothe Says:

I would choose Clare because and I would knit that gorgeous Owl sweater that is so popular on ravelry.

  660. lfperry Says:

I would have to say Maeve! I live right on the beach on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The brown represents the sand, the teal the water and then the other colors are similar to the inside of seashells. Just beautiful!! I would probably make a pair of socks and then think of something else, too!

  661. Nadine B Says:

Wow! Cool does not even cut it. Those are beautiful and the photography is amazing. It is so hard to choose a favorite because they each have such distinct colors and they are each so inspiring. I think I am going to have to go with Kieran. I am starting to think about stuff I want to make for fall and this would be perfect. I’m thinking a lovely cardigan in this colorway would be beautiful. With some lace pattern to keep it light. Just perfect for a fall evening.

  662. Wanda Says:

I love Alana and would make a pair of fingerless gloves for myself for a change. I love all shades of pink.

  663. Laurie Kynaston Says:

You made it easy (er) by naming two colors after two of my darling daughters, Cara and Kate. I’d make a lovely soft scarf or pair of gloves for Katie in her color because she refuses to wear handknit socks (silly girl!), and my Cara Mia would get some beautiful socks in her color to keep her cozy warm and remind her of her mama, since she lives far away.

  664. Mary Allen Says:

Definitely JACK; I had to go back to this color and look at at again, and again, and……….. I’d make a long and wonderful, warm scarf. I love them all.

  665. Ellen Says:

my favorite is Mcguire, and I’d make a stunning top to wear. really hard tochoose a favorite. the are so interesting

  666. Nicole F. Says:

I love Jack beyond belief. I’d pair the colorway with a white wool and make one awesome striped cardigan, complete with hood and pockets. The stripes would be of varying widths in a non repeating pattern, and the hems, button bands, etc would be solid Jack, with some kind of textured stitch thrown in, like moss. That would be awesomeawesomeawesome.

  667. Tara580 (on ravelry) Says:

I love all of them but since you said to choose: Erin, Devin, Niall, and Brody and you can’t forget Maeve are some of my fav’s to name a few!

#1 fav is tough between Erin and Maeve….They are all so beautiful!
    Thanks for having the contest!

  668. Karen Says:

I had to go through several times to narrow it down to my top five, and then debated with myself over which one I like best. I finally decided that Cameron would be my choice. Such warm and happy colors! I think I would make socks, or maybe a scarf that I could wear every day. You ask so much of me in these 2 simple questions! :)

  669. jianin Says:

I’d like some of Clare to knit into a custom cardigan for my mom (her specifications: crew neck, pockets, fitted, etc, etc.), please. ^_^

  670. Pokito Says:

Hard decision to make, but if you twisted my arm, I would have to say Erin.

And I would make a pair of long beaded gloves that I’ve been dying to make. All the colors are so pretty!

  671. Kat Says:

If I only got to choose one it would be Alana. However, LOL, all of them would look great in my stash for anything from baby clothing to adult hats, gloves, summer tanks, etc.
With Alana, I would make myself a pair of gloves or a summer tank that I have my eye on.

  672. Becky Says:

Only Three Fine Irish Lassies could create a yarn as beautiful as Erin. It is just begging to be knitted into a beautiful spring/summer shell. Thank you for sharing with us.

  673. rhoda Says:

it was love at first sight when I gazed upon Erin. :) I would either make a shawl or a pair of socks.

  674. Kristina Lambert Says:

I was hoping for an “Aoife”!

    My favorite is Alana- pink+brown=wonderful.

  675. Lila Says:

Choose me! I lovelovelove Kieran and would make a fiery shawl out of it.

(In truth, I also lovelovelove Niall, and would use it for a shawl too.)

  676. Elisabeth Says:

Conner is breathtaking! Perfect for a cozy newborn sized sweater.

  677. Meg Hulik Says:

I adore Maura and Maeve. I believe both of them would be socks, since I would want to be able to wear them all year round, not just in winter.

    Or maybe armwarmers…

  678. Christine Says:

Oooh, I had to narrow it down, I don’t think that “all” is a good answer. :-P
I’d choose either Cameron or Kieran for a nice lacy beret for springtime.

  679. Katie Says:

I would make OWLS out of Cara.
Come to think of it, I can find many uses for all of them…

  680. Gemma Says:

Kieran, because I love red, and a wonderful wrap, full of winter fighting brightness (hey it’s autumn here in australia.

  681. Ann O Says:

Very tough choice. It came down to 2 for me - Kieran and Grady. Both very different, but the winner for me is Kieran.

  682. Linda Says:

Too many gorgeous colors to choose from, but if I could only choose one, I think it would be Clare. I would make a lovely little beaded lace shoulder shawl to wrap around and fling over my shoulders.

  683. Leona A Rowe Says:

so many choices - I’ve already ordered Alana for a February Lady sweater, but I think that a shawl knit with Niall would be absolutely stunning

  684. Stephanie Says:

My favorite colorway is Erin. I would love to use it to make a stripey scarf. Thanks for this great giveaway!

  685. Micky Says:

WOW! What more can I say!

I would choose Madigan. Its beautiful and unique. What would I make with it. Hmmmm. Something for my daughter, probably a warm squishy scarf!

  686. Barbie Says:

I’d really like to make Blue Sky Alpaca’s Audrey Coat with “Brady.” Everyone needs a colorful coat. :)

  687. Kate Says:

I wouldhave to choose Clare, as I have been looking for a sock yarn with some nice subtle color variations, and as soon as I saw Clare I fell in love with it. I would have to peruse Ravelry through every sock pattern, but I would choose a beautiful sock pattern to make myself a gorgeous and comfortable pair of socks. And since I like ankle socks, I’d probably have enough left over to make myself a matching pair of fingerless gloves :)

  688. stephanie ruff Says:

what a very hard decision. i guess it would be the “maura” colorway- so soft and relaxing-i would love to make a cozy shawl to help lighten my day and make me feel good! you gals are great!

  689. Elle Says:

Madigan wants to be some fingerless mitts, I just know it, in just the perfect stitch to let those colors pop.

  690. patty Says:

I would make a hat out of Cian. The color is perfect for Marquette University colors. After losing their NCAA game yesterday, my Marquette fan needs a boost!

  691. Bethany Whitney Says:

If I could bring home any color it would probably be Erin. Those greens are just incredible! In a perfect knitting world, it would either become a lacy scarf or a pair of CookieA socks from her upcoming book!

  692. Deanna Says:

Definitely Clare. I can see a beautiful, light, airy, spring top or a intricate lace shawl. :)

  693. Amy F Says:

A sweater from Kieran for my fiesty three year old!

  694. Nelly Ortiz Says:

Oh I like a few. If I can only pick one I’d have to say “Kate”. I would to make a pair of fingerless mitts. I love the brown with the spring colors.

  695. Carol Says:

It would have to be Alana to make a beautiful lacey shawl for my middle sis whom I’ve yet to knit for.

  696. Kassi Says:

I loved the Grady colorway. Normally, my favorite color is orange and I tend to really shy away from browns and yellows. Something about this colorway is just amazing. I knew immediately that this is the color for me!

In an ideal world where I could have as much as I wanted, I would make a blanket out of this yarn. It’s gorgeous. I would make one giant mitered square afghan and love it for the rest of my life. If I do win, I’ll only have one, and I’d probably use it to make my step mom a hat or scarf. These colors are totally her, and it’d be nice to give her something so special.

  697. Kirsten Says:

Alana, it screams lightweight spring openwork cardigan. I love the warm tones and gorgeous colors. Beautiful lookbook. What a collection

  698. Lisa Says:

Kieran would be gorgeous socks. Now I’m all wanty!

  699. Meg Says:

The Maeve colorway is so lovely, I would make myself some very special socks, be there yardage enough for that.

  700. Karen Hoff Says:

although they are all gorgeous my favorite is clare. i hear it yearning to be knit into a beautiful shawl

  701. Sarah Says:

The color I couldn’t live without is Cian. First I would snuggle it for about a year, then I would display it proudly to everyone I laid eyes on, and then I would make a lacy little triangular scarf, or maybe a pair of socks to make me feel fancy.

  702. Susan Sucher Says:

Devin, because I love green, and I would make baby surprise jacket for my little one due on 4/16 ;o)

  703. Kristin Says:

I love Maeve! That is a beautiful colorway! I want it! I want it! I want!

  704. Sue Says:

For me it would be Niall, a gorgeous, scoop necked cardigan to wear to work.. it would go perfectly with my uniform and be very, very classy.

  705. Michelle Says:

Oh asking me to choose is almost as bad as asking me to choose my favorite child!!!

I love Kate, Connor and Maeve but cannot choose one that I like the best… Even thought The shorties/soakers would be calling from the depths of those skeins, I’d endeavor to make something for ME with them, as I so rarely do.

You’re awesome for hosting this droolworthy contest! :)

  706. Kristin Schrader Says:

I adore them ALL! However, if I have to choose, I want to make a pair of socks in Devin.
    Beautiful…

  707. Jane Stout Says:

If I had to choose 1, it would have to be Maeve.
The colors are just gorgeous. I’m new to knitting, so I would have to stare at her for hours on end, pet her an tell her how pretty she is.
I know a scarf would be gorgeous, or some fingerless gloves. Or, she may even tempt me into the darkside and actually try socks!!

    But they are all beautiful!!!

  708. Darlisa Says:

Maura is my absolute favorite - the colors are so restful and soothing and would make a wonderful crocheted shawl. Of course, Cian and Alana come very close and I must have them.

  709. Andrea L. Says:

Niall is my favorite although it was really, really hard to choose just one favorite. I think a soft cowl would be beautiful.

  710. Eileen Says:

O.M.G. It is so hard to choose just one, but I think the best has to be Grady. My freshwoman daughter, home on Spring Break, looking over my shoulder, thought it was awesome, and so it is. I’d make her something lovely to take back to school with her, like a scarf or socks or anything yummy in which to wrap her self, whom I miss so much!

  711. RedfordPhyl Says:

I’m torn between Cian and Alana. I’d probably use it for a moebius cowl. I wear them with everything. Or, maybe a new shawl.

  712. nikki Says:

it’s so hard to choose just one! i would say grady, though. as soon as i saw it, i thought of my husband. i haven’t done much knitting for him, and i think grady would make a gorgeous, cozy sweater that he would love!

  713. Noreen Crone-Findlay Says:

Oh wow! All your yarns are totally sublime, but Cameron is just delicious. But then, so is Maura….. oh, they all are! LOL
    Thank you so much!

  714. Ilona Says:

I love Erin… in a perfect knitting world it would come in McClellan fingering with enough amount to knit an airy summer top with it… maybe the Sideways Cardigan from VK Summer 2008 issue?

  715. Dani Says:

It is so hard to choose just one, but I suppose I love Maeve best of all.
And Im a sock junkie, so if it were fingering or sport wgt, I would make socks:)
Thank you for this opportunity, your new colorways are just gorgeous.
    ~Dani

  716. Gillian Says:

Hi never been on your site before but wow!! what lovely colours…in fact too many nice ones that make picking just one iis so difficult. But as I am from Northern Ireland I must go with the ‘Erin’ wool. Such lovely shades of green and I would have to knit a scarf or some gloves to go with a teal coat I got in the january sales. Definitely still must have items for chilly days out walking in the countryside. xxx

  717. Knitlark Says:

    Absolutely luscious.
I would like to knit a cardigan sweater with ERIN and make some buttons to match those lovely colors.
I have a friend who is going through a tough time, and I think this would be a nice gift to say that I care.

If you have a chance, please check out my podcast, Knitlark Lane. I read from classic literature (and a bit more) so people can listen while they knit (or crochet or spin or quilt or …)

You can find it at knitlarklane.libsyn.com. I am going to talk about these yarns in my next podcast.

  718. Brenda Says:

Well, if only one, I would choose Jack. I would use it to make a beautiful shrug. All of them are beautiful!

  719. Kath Says:

They are all completely gorgeous but if I had to pick just one colorway it’d have to be Maeve. I’d probably knit a pair of either Leyburn or Crusoe socks, something with slipped stitches to show off those amazing colors!

  720. Karen Says:

I love Madigan and Jack- for my baby’s hats! (and she’s a girl). She looks good in bolder colors.

  721. Meg Says:

With Clare I would make a fabulous lace shawl, and with Maura, I would find a wreath like yours and recreate your photo on my wall.

  722. Meri Says:

If I could have any one, it would either be Erin or Jack. They are both so incredibly gorgeous! I’d love to have either made into something for my son, the blue hues would compliment his eyes fantastically!

  723. Denice Says:

I would have to choose Maeve. Those colors are the basis of about 90% of my wardrobe, and a sweater made in it would go with everything. And be warm. And gorgeous.

    Beautiful new colors!

  724. Julie D Says:

Maeve!! A classy and beautiful set-up, not to mention gorgeous colorway!

  725. Valerie Says:

    Oh my!! So beautiful!

I think I most want gloves out of Connor. But I love them all!

  726. Mj D Says:

I absolutely love the colorway, “Erin.” Khaki, olive green and blues are my favorite colors (they make my hair look even redder)!

I would make a wrap or stole.

  727. Amy Says:

Maura! Such lovely, subtle colors. Yum! And I’d made a hat that highlighted them all! All my hats are too boring, I think sometimes.

  728. Kristine Says:

mmm, that last one on the plate looks so yummy!

  729. Melissa Says:

Maeve is my favorite. I would make The Helena cardigan from Knitty with it for my baby girl :)

  730. Ginger Says:

Maura… or Jack… or Clare… Who could decide? They are all so lovely.

  731. Marie Says:

Clever idea! I adore Alana, absolutely adore it. What a romantic colorway! I couldn’t find yarn weight/gauge information anywhere, but I see this yarn as a small shawl - Shapely Shawlette, perhaps? Who wouldn’t feel beautiful wearing this?

  732. Aimee Smith Says:

They are all so beautiful, but if I could only pick one, I suppose it would be Niall, the blues are so comforting. I would make comfy socks to wear with blue jeans.

  733. Jaime Says:

I’m envisioning some kind of lacy phoenix shawl in Kieran…. all those flame-coloured feathers, mmmm.

  734. Kate Says:

Well, at first I was going to say the Kate, for obvious reasons.

But then I saw the Devin, and it is gorgeous! I’ve been looking for a great green to make a newsboy cap, so thats what I would make!

  735. rcarver Says:

I would turn Jack into a pair of shorties for my son to wear this summer. I also like Erin, but I think Jack would go with his collection of little boy shirts better. Thanks!

  736. cls Says:

Erin. I think the greens are wonderful, and have something in mind that would be perfect for it….

  737. Monica Says:

Easy. Jack wants to live here and become a vest for my little son. :) The colors are perfection!

  738. Cara Says:

A Cara in a blue-green? That’s the one I’d want! Longies or shorties for one of my little ones. Pretty pictures!

  739. Lindsay Says:

I’d go with the cover girl, Maura. I think I’d make a pillow cover, of all things! I like relaxing, peaceful colors in my home.

  740. Aimee Corbin Says:

I would bring home Grady! That is a family name and I would make DS a hooded cardigan with it.

  741. Donna Says:

    Hi Sharon,
My favorite of all of the new colorways is definitely Kate. I dig the contrast in colors. I would love to make a lacy scarf for myself. :)

  742. Tara Says:

I would pick Kate and I would make something for my daughter. Probably capris. They would be beautiful on her.

  743. Jenn Says:

I really like Kieran, it’s absolutely beautiful!
And I’d make fingerless gloves with matching socks! And it would already match half my wardrobe!

  744. Alexandra Says:

I would choose Clare. And in my perfect knitting world, it would become the most amazing, soft, warm, comfy cardigan ever! :-D

All of the colors are so lovely, though, to be honest. It’s so hard to choose a favorite; I want all of them! :-)

  745. Angela Says:

Ian Jack adn Grady call to me.. I would have to make a shawl or a sweater with those lovely colors.

  746. Stephanie Says:

I like Alana best. I see a warm lacy crocheted shawl to wrap up in with a cup of tea and good book. I make so many things for other people; this one would be to spoil just me.

  747. TeresaB Says:

I would choose to use Brady in a February Lady Sweater for myself.

  748. Dani Edson Says:

I love to cuddle with knitted wraps/shawls, I wear them everywhere. By using either Kate or Alana, I could make a beautiful wrap to take to a work event that I have coming up. I would be the envy of all my co-workers.

  749. Talia Says:

Niall would come with me (well temporarily). My mom was recently diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer. February 9th she had a mastectomy and in 3 weeks she starts Chemotherapy. Niall is her “colors” (her whole house is blue…), so I would knit it into as many little noggin covers for her as I could get out it.

  750. Kim Says:

I’m torn between Kate and Clare but I do know what I’d make with them. I’m making a Barn Raising Blanket using all different types of sock yarn and these would definitely be in(I have already made a couple squares with the Rhiannon colorway).

  751. Adriana Says:

They are all gorgeous, but it would have to be Kate for me. I would make the Oriental Lily Dress for my daughter.

  752. Nickie Says:

well, if I can only pick one it would be Cameron. It’s not only seasonless but it’s gender neutral. I could use it for my son as gorgeous longies for fall or I could make myself a shrug to dress up the plain tops I end up wearing all year round. Yeah, the shrug - he’s got enough longies. Mama needs a shrug.

  753. Angela Says:

Hmmm…Maura, Maeve or Madigan…I love all three. But, if I were forced to choose just one, I think it would be Maura, and I would make a Chickadee Cowl.

  754. lucy Says:

I would love to knit with Cian. It’s so happy and sunshiney it makes me smile. I’d have to make something that I could see while wearing it. Maybe a cheerful jumper or mittens.

  755. Michelle Says:

I love Maeve. The colours caught my eye right away and I thought about how gorgeous a pair of socks would be in this colourway. Now that I think about it, a shawl would be lovely, too…oh, and a neckwarmer and gloves and, and, and… ;D

  756. Susan Says:

I would bring home Cian, bold and beautiful, and I’d make myself a scarf of it. Maybe I’d make a Clapotis, all swirly and classy, or maybe I’d crochet a long narrow strip of scarf with fringe.

  757. Brandi Spray Says:

I LOVE Maeve! I would get it in Springvale and make myself a pretty turtleneck sweater for next fall :)

  758. Genuine Says:

I would take Cara, and since it is a delicate, beautiful color, I would make a smooshy cowl from it, or perhaps a cabled beret. It looks cool and beautiful and classy.

  759. kate Says:

i love the kate colorway, and not just because that’s my name. i would make a baby surprise for my little one on the way

  760. Robyn Says:

I would go with Maura. I love the colors! I would make a shawl and maybe a beret to go with it.

  761. Susie Says:

They were all so lovely but I would have to choose Connor. It spoke to me the moment I saw it. I would make a cushy soft, warm hat because “spring” in the midwest is not very kind and it would bring me great joy to wear such colors and stay warm until summer comes!

  762. Rachel Dreyer Says:

I love Jack. All of them of gorgeous but I really like the different colors and how rich they all look in that one. I’d probably make some shorties for my little guy to wear this summer.

  763. anne Says:

jack would be a sweater for my son. Likely an EZ baby surprise. and erin wants to be socks for me. I love the subtle solids!

  764. kelly-ann Says:

I love either Erin or Devin - I go weak for green! I would definitely knit a pair of socks that has some kind of leaf motif.

  765. Tina Says:

I love all of them, but I think Madigan stands out for me! I love the random distribution of colour, and think it would make an amazing skirty for my daughter!

  766. Kammy Says:

Connor is one of the prettiest yarns I’ve ever seen. I would make a hat or a scarf (oooooo, both!!) because the sky color would light up my blue eyes. Pretty!!!

  767. Elsbeth Walker Says:

Grady for sure. I would make a truly fabulous Clapotis scarf. Tres elegant.

  768. Amanda Says:

Oh wow, Erin and Kate are both tugging at me. LOVE them both! Either of them would make a gorgeous Ishbel and I think that’s just what I’d make if I could only have one skein!

(But which would win, my love of green and green blues or my love of brown, pink and green together?!)

  769. Kelly Says:

Erin and Devin are tied…I think a second lace shawl (I’m almost finished with the first), but if I had Alana, I believe my niece, Alana, would love a pink anything!

  770. Amanda Says:

I would LOVE lots and lots of Jack!

  771. Rachel Says:

It’s so difficult to decide between Aidan, Maureen, and Nora. They are just sooooo beautiful! But I think I do like Aidan best.

  772. Wendy Says:

I just love Erin. Green being my favourite colour but this reminds me of the sea. I think something like a shawl would be ideal but would have to evoke feelings of the sea in the design. Beads to enhance or look like water drops. Very ethereal!

  773. Bernadette Says:

I’m drawn to so many colorways for myself, but only one for my sweet girl, Zoe Pearl. She looks stunning in rich rosy colors - so Clare it is. I’d love to see her in a little capelet to match the precious perfect dress I currently have on my cutting mat.

  774. Shael Says:

I would love to use Niall to make a bat wing type shawl if I had enough skeins. If it’s only one, I’d probably make fingerless gloves for me.

  775. Sarah Says:

Grady is so fantastic! Its hard to choose just one, but Grady is the one I’d find on my head and hands, that would be as a hat and mittens!

    They are all simply beautiful!

  776. Jennifer Says:

Connor and Maeve immediately caught my eye. I’ve been wanting to make a light spring sweater with pocket and hood for my special little guy, BUT Maeve looks positively good enough to eat! I might even make something for myself with that… something I’ve never ever done before. What great colors, all of them! It was really hard to choose.

  777. Noelle Stone Says:

I have to say, as much as I love all the vibrant colors, I like Maura the best. I think it would make a lovely shawl, or perhaps a slouchy beret, or even a cardigan. I love how it looks like watercolors all running together.

  778. Kathy Says:

I can’t choose just 1. Love Maura, Grady, and Alana. I would make socks, of course!

  779. Kelly Pratt Says:

I love Jack, also Kate…..honestly I loved most of them great choices! C’mon spring.

  780. billie Says:

Clare. It was a hard decision.
    thanks
    Billie

  781. Cinthia Says:

It was very hard to choose just one, but I finally did it after looking at the spring lookbook for almost an hour! I have a newborn son and would make a bulletproof wool soaker for him out of the colorway Jack.

Such beautiful new colorways and the book is absolutely adorable. Great job and thanks for the generosity through this contest!

  782. Kristen Says:

All of them! Any of them! (I’m sorry, am I drooling?)

But no, if I had to choose only one, it would be Maura. So lovely and soft and springlike, and just asking to be made into a versatile lightweight springtime cardigan or wrap…

  783. Cassandra Clark Says:

oooh, tough choice! I think I have to go with Maeve, for a Spider Web Shawl from VLT.

They are all gorgeous! Thanks for the chance to win them!

  784. Elaine Says:

I can’t believe it - I just joined Ravelry half an hour ago, and now I’m entering a contest for beautiful yarn. Can it get any better?

  785. Jessica Says:

I think I would make a cheery lace scarf with Clare!

  786. Toni Says:

Connor, and it would make a beautiful skirty here in our household!!! I love to see the more boyish colorways all girlified!

  787. Candace Says:

They are all gorgeous, but I think my favorite is Maeve. Beautiful!

  788. gisele aubut Says:

Oh Sharon! All the new colorways make me swoon! You can almost feel them on your needles! Brava!
Niall, Alana, Maura, Connor, Clare and Kate….oh heck, all are equally beautiful and call out to be knit into something cozy for my brand-new, very first grandchild, the lovely Arianne, born February 22nd.
    Keep up the fabulous work!

  789. Janette Says:

Clare is gorgeous! And my grandmother’s favorite blend of colors. She’ll be 82 this December and it’s only fitting I make her a shawl or stole out of it. It’d be like a great big hug she could carry around with her since I don’t get to see her as often as I like, being so far away now.

  790. Angelina Says:

I want “Kate” to be a skirtie for my daughter. It just jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. I love when a colorway does that!

I love Conner too, for longies.

  791. Sara Says:

I would pick Maura, without a doubt. I love a whole bunch of the new colorways, but Maura rocks the house. And I would make something just for me with it….I’m thinking a Starfish Shawl by Norah Gaughan. The colors in Maura are just so calming and classy. I love it.

  792. Jezebel Says:

Ian, I would make something nice for my DS. I’ve not had the pleasure or knitting with really good wool as of yet.

  793. Lisa Says:

I need to bring Cian home with me because Cian is the only yellow I’ll ever love. Deep and bright, but not brash.

I’d knit a lacy summer top.

  794. Sarah, a.k.a. LadyDanio Says:

I’m a green girl, and so both Erin and Devin called to me like the siren song of a selkie. However, there’s just something about the men in your life, isn’t there? Brady & Conner kind of make me lustful. I never knew blue could be so wonderful until I saw those two paired together. Jack comes flying out at me though, with his peacock-like tail. His tiger-lily beauty is gorgeous too, and I’d never mind taking him home as well. ;)

In a perfect world, Brady, Conner and Jack would all comes live at my house, where I’d sit eating grapes while petting them all day.

But this isn’t a fantasy. In reality, Jack would be made of McClellan Fingering, and his hint of bamboo would make him a perfect lacy shawl to wrap around myself on cool summer nights. Actually, if he was made of any fingering weight yarn I’d be happy.

  795. Dev Holan Says:

    What a wonderful giveaway contest!

I would love to knit up Maeve into three baby sweaters: 1 for my baby, 1 for my best friend’s baby who is just a few months younger and the third for a friend who previously lost a baby late in pregnancy and is now 7 months pregnant and very hopeful.

  796. Steph Says:

I love them all, but cian caught my eye. It needs to be some kicky socks!

  797. Kim Says:

Cian, Cian, Cian! I’d knit myself fingerless gloves to wear in my cold, gray cubicle inside my windowless office…they’d be a perfect reminder that Spring is just outside.

  798. Kimberli Says:

Ahhhh how do I love these let me count the ways. So many choices…so little time. Okay…back against the wall, bright light glaring directly into my eyes…heavy breathing from strong-armed Yarnistas in the shadows growling…”choose!”

    Ian

How can I pass up those gorgeous blue/golds/wheaten loveliness that would match my chino jacket so perfectly! I’d knit something to match this jacket then maybe I’d wear said jacket a bit more often. It makes me happy…all blue and bright and fresh. My signature blue.

  799. Elizabeth Says:

I am completely smitten with Jack…he wants me to snuggle him…and that would involve a cowl I think… or a neckwarmer with mitts to match…yummy!

  800. Sara Says:

I always feel silly entering these things, just because I feel like I’m asking for “something for nothing”, but the colors are just so beautiful and appear to be just what I’ve been searching for.. I expect that I’ll be placing an order soon!

I have been dying to make somethng for one of my daycare boys who is having an especially hard time right now. His mother has had many health problems for years and has recently been in and out of the hospital constantly.. the boy himself, Liam, is 2 and a half and is constantly going in and out of doctors offices for tests himself. (He shakes constantly and gets hives..)
At first I thought - I will knit something for the mother. But the mother is the sort who is happier to see her little one receive a gift.. I, therefore, would like to knit socks for Liam.

Why socks? Because Liam’s the only child in the daycare center that ever keeps his on, and if they even begin to slip off of his feet, he starts to get upset, saying his feet are cold. Socks, therefore, are a must for little Liam.

The color I would pick for this is Devin.
I choose Devin because it screams spring and happiness to me.. a color like that is, clearly, the best for any occasion, but especially when attempting to brighten someone elses day.

  801. Jaclyn Bailey Says:

I would love to have enough of Connor or Jack to make Longies for my baby boy coming April 28th…. but I would also love enough of Brady to make myself a sweater!

  802. Christa Says:

I would pick Grady because it is just so wonderfully retro. It reminds me of hanging out at my grandmama’s house with her gold starburst clock and her shag rugs. It’s warm and cozy. Of course, I love green, turquoise and teal so Erin would be a close second. It’s refreshing!

  803. Julie Says:

Top three colorways: Jack, for a “Hit the Road, Jack” sweater (hoody?); Cameron, for a Hot Shawl for my cool California nights, and Cian for Wendy Johnson’s collaborative “Sunflower” socks…ooh, ooh, wait, Niall just popped into my head as a beaded KIRI shawl… I need all 18! sigh…

  804. Terri Says:

Cian - A lacey, drapey, cardigan.

  805. Chantelle Says:

I can’t decide b/t Maeve and Kate. All of them are beautiful. I’m a novice knitter, so I may have to have someone help me make it into something worthy of such yarn yumminess.

  806. Carrie Says:

i really like Conner and Devin, but Niall wants to come home with me the most.

  807. Carrie Says:

and i would make socks. i love socks.

  808. Tanya Says:

((((gasp))))) Do I have to pick one? I love the play of colors in Jack. I think it needs to be a Morning Surf wrap so that those wondrous colors and dance all over the knit canvas.

Thanks for the yarn porn :)

    Tanya

  809. Christy Says:

My favorite colorway is Jack. I would love to make a pair of shorties and matching scarf for me from it. Absolutely gorgeous colors.

  810. Katie Says:

I would choose Jack, and i would make my mother a beautiful sweater with it, it has all her favorite colors in it, and she has had a hard year and is now in hospice, and i know it would make her smile so that is what i would make a sweater for my mom:)

  811. rae Says:

What a difficult decision. I have it narrowed down to 6 after 4 views of the pictures. Cian interests me because it’s so beautiful and it’s a color I never consider buying. The others are beautiful colors but in colorways that I am generally drawn to:
devin, niall, connor, jack, madigan. I’m not sure how to narrow this down to one. Cian would be perfect for the sunray cowl or shawl.
And I’d love to try making the orca tale scarf with connor.

  812. Karma Says:

I could I choose? If I had to choose just one, I would choose Clare. All of your colorways are amazing, and the styling for photos shows them off soooo well. Congratulations!

  813. kimberly Says:

i would love to use clare to make a lovely spring shrug!
the greens in devin are gorgeous - it’s hard to choose!!

  814. Sara Says:

I totally love Cameron…I normally don’t love oranges, but I really like the depth and darkness of the colors in Cameron. I would most definitely make a tote bag…felted. And, although I would REALLY want to keep it for myself, I would give it to my mama for her birthday!

  815. Suz Says:

Naturally, it would have to be Maura, because that’s my youngest daughter’s name–spelled the same, too! Now you just need to name a color after our dog, Caoimhe! (What would I knit with and for Maura? Probably a funky hat, because that would fit my artistic Maura’s sensibilities!)

  816. tong Says:

I would love to take Fionn home and reincarnate him as a long wavy scarf or stole in a flowy lace pattern. He’s a really lovely colour!

(I draw an online comic (Hero) and Fionn is the exact shade of blue of the mysterious scarf that the “hero” wears :))

  817. Angela Says:

Connor. It’s outside of my usual knitting color range, but I would knit a pair of socks for my middle daughter. These are her favorite colors, and she spent her own money on a pair of clear Converse in order to show off the socks I knit her…

  818. Suzanne Says:

I love Kate and grady. Grady would be a sweater for my son most definitely. I can see Kate as a dress.

  819. sweetm Says:

I would drop whatever I was doing, and knit maeve into socks, and wear them, was them, and wear them again! Beautiful yarns!

  820. Vanessa Says:

Jack just calls to me–I can see it as a simple shawl for sure, where the colour does all the work (and gets all the glory)!

    But all so gorgeous!

  821. LisaW Says:

Wow, talk about tough choices! I would gladly let any of those beautiful colors follow me home. Forced to choose, though, I choose

    Maeve

    What a great contest!

  822. Maya Says:

I think I would have to go with Alana.. though it’s closely followed by several others..!

I’m thinking Alana would be nice as either a soft, light spring cowl or scarf, or maybe a pair of socks with a defined pattern, like Cookie A’s Marlene. :>

It would also be great as an airy shawl for viewing the cherry blossoms!

  823. Joan Says:

    Connor.
I love your fabu color sense, but Connor rocks, and would make a splendid hat, and as those are some of the colors i dye the tips of my hair in, think how fabu it would look!!!
    Ta - Joan

  824. Maria Says:

Well, a tough choice, but I’d say Niall. What would I make? Hmm, I’d love a scarf of some kind in it. I wouldn’t want to hide those wonderful colors away!

  825. Lisa Wood Says:

    Cian.

    Socks or maybe a hat.

  826. Pauline Says:

There’s a beautiful long skirt in the “Knitting Lingerie Style” book that I would love to make. So much so that my husband bought the book for me as a surprise, completely randomly. Kieran would make the most vibrant version of that skirt! In my perfect knitting world I would be able to make that skirt with one skein of yarn. LOL. your colors are gorgeous, by the way…purrrrty!

  827. Gladys Says:

What an impossible choice! I lean to the purples of Niall and Brady, but Connor makes me smile, and would make a gorgeous neckwarmer.

  828. Amee Mandelin Says:

I would make a neck cowl out of Cara. Something close to my skin and face would be great.

  829. maureen Says:

Tough decision, but I’d have to say I’d love to take home Maura, but Clare is a tight second.

  830. Mindy Stembridge Says:

I love Naill because blue and purple are my favorite colors. I would make socks and/or sweaters for my myself. I love knitting for my granddaughters which I do all the time, but it is time for me to make something for myself for a change. But if I got real ambitious I would make the 3 of us something.

  831. Silvina Says:

I would just totally LOVE Kieran…it’s just the colour of happiness… I don;t know what I’d make, a sweater probably…just something for ME! :)

  832. Michelle Says:

It is so hard to choose only one! They are all beautiful! But after looking back 4 times I had to narrow it down to my favorite colors and that would mean it has to be hands down….Cameron. As for what I would make? Maybe a wrap for myself as I would HAVE to make something that I could wrap myself up in the YUMMY colors!

  833. Kim G. Says:

That’s so hard to choose! They are all gorgeous.

I think I’d pick Maura and knit a scarf hat.

  834. Marcie Says:

Clare - definitely, Clare. And not just because my brandnew granddaughter is named Claire. I love the rich red and crave a cardigan made of it. And it definitely does not hurt that the name reminds me of Sweet Little Miss Claire!

  835. Jonita Says:

its a toss up between Kate, and Cameron. I think I like Kate better…. no Cameron…. no Kate, ok, final answer… Kate

and I’d have a mariosol top made

  836. Kate Says:

So hard to make a decision! I loved Maeve, and Madigan looks fun! but I’ve chosed Kate, it looks lovely and it’s my name…. I’d make something for my daughter - some longies or a jacket or a shrug….

  837. Dawn Says:

Oh, you know I love that Maeve… and I’d love her even more as a shawl!

  838. Annette Says:

Way too many beautiful combinations! I’d probably choose Maura, I love the subtle colorway and would make a sweater or shawl and definitely socks. Getting hooked on socks and mitts!

Then there is Maeve and Madigan, and Jack. Jack has that Yin Yang thing going on!

  839. Deborah Says:

Decisions,Decisions! Wow, they are all beautiful, but I would take Clare first. I think it would look gorgeous as either a Shetland Triangle or a Swallowtail shawl, and that color is very complimentary.

  840. Jaishree Says:

oh my to pick ONE! all of them are lovely but three are totally irresistiible……….. Brady and Connor, Clare and Cian are calling out to me so loudly..how can i pick one?
but if I can only bring one of them home then I guess it will be Cian…and having just started on lace knitting… I am dreaming large, lacy, knit shawls. oooooH! I can just feel myself knitting

  841. Sherri Says:

Oh Sharon, how can anyone choose just one? Each one has it’s own exquisite charm, and they all call to me.

I would love to unwind at the end of the day with a shawl made with Maeve. That’s always been one of my favorite names, and somehow the colors suit that name. The rich lilac, teal, and chartreuse mixture reminds me of the desert Sierras in Spring just before sunset, when the last gleam of sunlight lights up the new sagebrush blooming on the distant mountain. When I lived in the west, that was a time I always enjoyed–the day unwinding and the night unfolding; a time when everything grew quiet and still.

(But I want to wear Grady on my toes this Winter, and to wrap up on a scarf made from Erin this Fall, and slip into a shrug of Jack this Summer, and make sweaters from the rest to chase away the chill in my classroom all year).

  842. Joline Says:

Maeve (socks) and Madigan(cloth diaper cover)

    beautiful!

  843. Jodi Says:

Ohhh, I’d love to make my daughter some longies out of Madigan with aqua trim. : )

  844. Jess Says:

Clare… or Maguire. It would depend on my mood. I love Clare… she is gorgeous in her deep saturated hue. But Maguire is much more like spring… and it’s been a looooong winter! Something bright and pretty might be just the thing.

What would I make… some type of sweater or top. Clare would make a lovely snuggly hooded cardi to curl up into. Maguire… in a sport weight… could make a stylish spring top.

Apparently I am caught between seasons…

  845. Amy Says:

I think I would take Clare, Its so hard to choose. I would like to make a fiona’s top, a sweet summery dress/top for my baby girl :)

  846. junglygirl Says:

How on earth could you expect someone to choose just one?? Everyone of those deliciously photographed colours begs to be favourited!!

Greens call out my name whenever I see them - so obviously Erin would need to become a pair of socks … It would have to be a very special pair of socks !

But then again I *heart* the colour saturation in Clare and could see myself wearing that in a February Lady sweater to brighten up the dreary winter gloom.

And as for Kieran and Alana - wouldn’t thay be fabulous as Forest Canopy Shawls?? A different look for autumn days and warm spring evening.

They are all really beautiful - I hope they go to good homes who will knit them wisely with passion and adoration.

  847. Sarah Says:

Love Niall - the blues are just my style. But right now? Now, in the spring, I’d really love to be knitting some spring socks, one of the leafy lace patterns, maybe… and I think the Erin would be just the ticket.
Thank you for those lovely photos!

  848. Michelle Says:

I just love Connor! The bright springy colors…socks all the way! (what else is there…?)

  849. Jeanette Says:

Niall calls to me in the most purpley amazing way. I’m a big fan of most things purple and I like the mix of the deep blue and the purple.

This colorway could make a wonderful scarf or shawl, or a pair of lacy fingerless gloves… but anything is possible with this coloration.

  850. theresa Says:

OK, never before has looking at yarn brought a tear to my eye but when I saw Jack, my eyes teared up. When I was a teenager back in the 70s, my dad had a plaid sportscoat with blues & greens that he wore with a butter-colored polo shirt and brown slacks - and you guessed it, his name was Jack.
In a perfect universe, I’d be knitting him some socks with it, but since he’s no longer with us, I’m thinking of a scarf for me - something I can wear and remind me of him.

  851. Sarah Says:

I’d have to choose Brady, and I’d have to make a wrap sweater. Or socks. Or a cowl. Or all.

  852. Crista Says:

I *love* Clare. And my perfect project for this would be a lacy, beaded wrap to be worn with every black dress I own!

  853. paola Says:

Jack. And I’d make a shrug for my daughter with it…

  854. Deborah Says:

Thanks for a lovely peek at the yarn.

  855. Rachel Says:

I am in LUST with the colour combinations! It’s VERY difficult to choose just one but after much consideration I go with Maeve. It is just so YUMMY!!! In a perfect world of knitting I would make the most fabulous purse with it and a pair of opera length gloves.

  856. Aubrey Says:

Erin, Devin - Longies and matching hats!

  857. Tara Says:

I LOVE Maeve - it seems to be calling for a feminine sweater/scarf set… kinda lace like ya know. Thanks for bringing us more colors to choose from again. :)

  858. Diane in Northern CA Says:

There are so many beautiful shades, but I find myself going back to Alana. I think it would make a lovely lace wrap or even a Clapotis.

    Diane

  859. Vonda Says:

Niall is awesome. I would definitely make gloves or a hat. Way too pretty for feet.

  860. Emberchyld Says:

    Maura. Definitely Maura.

I once knit with a yarn I referred to as “liquid stained glass”. This yarn immediately made me think of the light coming off of stained glass, as it hangs in the dust motes or morning mist. The ghost of stained glass.

So, Maura would make a lovely little capelet to wear in the spring, fall, and cool summer nights.

  861. Kristin Says:

It was hard to choose, but I will say Niall. I have only made scarves and hats so far, so I will say a scarf!

  862. Samantha Says:

I just love Jack! I think it would make the perfect pair of longies for my newest addition that just arrived last week:-)!

  863. Scarlet Says:

I have always loved Maeve, and it’s my favorite of the ones in the lookbook. (The publication is gorgeous, btw.) If I had all the time in the world, I’d love to make a big cuddly blanket that my little boy and I could curl up under and read stories together.

  864. Lindsay Says:

hmmm - I’d take Niall, because I have a nephew with that name, and that colour would suit him beautifully. Which leads to what I’d knit. I’d make my lovely nephew and hat and scarft (and mittens if there were any left.)

  865. Kate Says:

I have never seen such an array of beautiful colors. I would probably knit up something for each of my niece and nephews so they could enjoy too. (and don’t forget Mom, she’d love something from this collection). Since my name is Kate, I certainly have to choose “Kate”. Plus I think its absolutely gorgeous!

  866. bob Says:

My mother recently lost her father whose name was Jack. As she is not allowed to wear new clothes in her year of mourning, I would make her a hairband with the yarn of the same name. It would be something nice for her in her time of grief, and a lovely tribute to my warm and colourful grandfather.

  867. Minna Says:

All the colors are sooo amazing but my favorite is Kieran.

I would make a lace shawl or scarf or socks or hat&mitts or cardigan or…

  868. Samantha H. Says:

Well, it was definitely difficult to choose just one… or even the right one because there were so many pretties. But, I’d probably pick Erin to make the Old Shale Shawl - I think it would be an interesting and lovely match.

  869. Janice in GA Says:

Niall would be my choice. I’m blue at heart. :)

  870. Melinda Jackson Says:

Devin: the shade(s) of green reminds me of my mom, whom I have been missing alot lately: she died of breast cancer Sept 2007. I am not sure what i would make - i would have to ask for help from my prayer shawl friends.

  871. RebeccaD Says:

I think I would have to go with Clare. So rich and bright. I think I would make a lovely big scarf/wrap. It would surely ward off the winter blahs with that! Have you seen all the grey and brown and black they try to foist on us with winter fashions? Yeah, fight back with pink!

  872. Mokihana Says:

I adore Cian! Here in Oregon where gray winters can be so long, I would make a lovely warm shawl out of this colorway. It reminds me of aspen trees up in the mountains, and would brighten up the long winter days.

Ordinarily I don’t knit with a lot of yellow/gold, but this one is amazing and is calling to me….

  873. Libby Says:

Cian would make a lovely pair of socks for Springtime. Spring Forward would be the perfect pattern.

  874. Mette Says:

I love Erin, and I would like to make socks out of it :)

  875. Joanna Says:

I would have to say Madigan. It has just the right amount of the perfect colours - well in my little yarn filled world anyways :-) I would make a toque and fingerless glove set for me with it. It’s cold up here in Canada!

  876. Laura Says:

Kieran for me - I’d use it for a sweater for my son ’cause he looks fantastic in those colours. I don’t know how I’d manage to restrain myself, but I think I’d wait until September, then find a lake somewhere in the Canadian shield. I’d plonk myself down by it and start knitting - ’cause Kieran reminds me of those glorious fall colours…I know, I know, this is the SPRING collection!

  877. Sharine Says:

Gorgeous colors! I would probably love to have Jack for a pair of long pants for my little one, or perhaps a lacy cardigan with Clare.

  878. Anjali Says:

I just love Brady. The blue violet shades will be perfect for a sweater for my 4 months old baby.

  879. Dawn Says:

I absolutely adore Clare! I would make a lacy scarf, something that would show it off to the MAX! Just Gorgeous!

(Okay, Erin is pretty gorgeous too!)

  880. Laurel C. Says:

oh my goodness! i would love to work with each and every one of these and could find a purpose for each. currently most of my knitting is for my baby girl so i’ll focus there.
A “Swing Thing” coat out of “Clare”
A “Cowgirl Butterfly Astronaut Vest” out of “Connor”

  881. AnaMarie Says:

Hah, thinking you might get only 100 entries, and you posted on Ravelry? You must be joking!

All of your colors are just amazing. Niall is calling to me from this bunch. I think I’d make either Cairdeas or a Cookie A sock pattern. Maybe Ornette or Trystero.

I think I know where my next paycheck is going…

  882. Ashley Says:

I’ve been admiring your yarn in Ravelry ads for so long!

I can’t decide between Erin and Cian ; because Erin has all the colors I love in one skein, and Cian because I’ve recently acquired a love of all things gold/yellow.

What I make depends on the yarn…with Erin, I would definitely make a top or sweater of some sort…maybe a lace summer tee. With Cian, an accessory, like cabled gloves.

  883. Hannah Says:

First I have to compliment you on all of your beautiful yarns! Thanks for luring me over here, I am drooling over my keyboard by now…

As to the yarn, I have two favourites.

The first would be Erin, which would be the touch of spring in my outfit for the next months- I’d make some fingerless gloves and a nice beret, which in Holland can be worn for quite some time into May :D

The other one is Niall, with which I’d love to do a shrug, to compliment one of my summer dresses for those cooler evenings. I think the colour is just stunning, and will help the make-shift solution to look like the perfect combination.
    xx

  884. Munire Sevimli (mimiscreations) Says:

I loved them all. Specially; Cameron and kieran.
I want all of them :)

  885. Ayse Says:

I love the photography. I’d have to say Keiran is the colourway I find most appealing (though all are lovely). From a single skein I’d probably make a scarf with a candle light lace pattern: enough blank areas to show off the yarn, but something more than just a plane of fabric.

  886. Debi Says:

Oh man!! I have been drooling over your look book for days now. I love Kate, and Maeve, and all of them really, but I would love to get a skein of Madigan. i would make a hat/mittens set for my friends daughter, who it just so happens shares her name with that scrumptious yarn. :D I linked her to your lookbook, and she totally got a kick out of it.

Cameron….loving the combo of oranges with the purple & green. I would make myself a yummy, scrunchy scarf!! And maybe the baby would get a hat!

Goodness! Just one? I truly love each and every one but to pick only one - I would choose Niall, the combination of blue and purple is sophisticated, classic /timeless to be knit up as a stole - no a cowl - no socks - no…. ;)
