Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

My favorite, absolute favorite, is Maeve, and I would make a delicious sweater. Or maybe a hat/scarf/mitten set. Or maybe some socks. Or maybe a shawl. Really, I’d make anything with it!

I have four colorways that absolutely must come to my home on yarn. Four. And I know exactly what I’ll make with them:
Devin - a February Lady Sweater for my mother
Erin - socks for myself AND my mother
Maeve - a beautiful lacey scarf
Jack - more socks, for sure.
(and Ian and Grady want to be painted onto some superwash merino roving and spun into 3ply sock yarns)

Oooo - Sharon, so hard to choose! I would choose Jack. Since I have never knit anything for myself, lol, I would carve out time to knit myself a skimpy little spring/summer top with it, because it just looks like the perfect colors for the beach with a pair of cut off jean shorts.

Oh, Sharon, what an impossible question. If I had to pick just one, today I would pick Maura. I would knit a giant shawl that I could wrap around myself, almost like a sleeping bag, (or maybe I would knit a sleeping bag) so that I could be surrounded by that wonderfull comforting colour. I would share it with my friends when they need a giant hug.
Or, I would chose Jack for socks. Or Erin for socks. Or… every single one of them for socks.
And in a perfect knitting world, the giant sleeping bag shawl would be knit in less than a week.

I love them all! That’s why it would be fabulous to win them all! If I had to choose just one I would choose Devin in the Elenya Alpaca base and knit a cozy gorgeous Diamonds and Pearls Shawl. It would be perect for this time of year when it’s still chilly but my thoughts have turned to spring!

MAEVE! Oh my goodness, Maeve would come home with me. Enough of her to make a simple raglan sweater with a v-neck and a kangaroo pocket in the front. I have a sweatshirt like that and I wear it pretty much every single day, November through March, and many other days in between. I’m sure my friends and family are close to staging a wardrobe intervention. But if I knit myself a Maeve sweater, then I could alternate. Wait…who am I kidding? I’d just wear Maeve every day and leave the sweatshirt in my closet. But that’s improvement, right?

I’ve always loved blue, purple, and green together, and I love colors that are bright and sassy. Connor, with it’s combination of lime, sky, and lilac, really appeals to me.
If I had enough of it in a fingering or laceweight, I’ve love to knit a freeform shawl, so the colors can ripple and swirl over the surface.

I’d choose lovely Maeve, because the combination of lilac and chocolate brown are so unusual and appealing. I’d make a light cardigan, perfect for not-really-spring not-really-winter weather.

It’s a tough choice, but I fell in love with Maura. The colors feel indulgent, but it’s still subtle, in a way. I would absolutely make a sweater with it, because I’ve never made a sweater before, and I’m dying to make one!

I am in love with so many colourways that I feel a little risque. Maura wants to be an elegant understated lightweight scarf. Grady is destined to be a hat/scarf/mittens set. Maeve is begging to be socks for me, while Devin wants to be matching father/son socks. But Madigan has my heart; I want to make February Lady & Baby sweaters out of it, and socks, and wool longies, and hats, and scarves, and… yeah.

Kate. It reminds me of sweet peas and sunny spring flowers. It would look so good as a little sweater for my red-headed niece. Or as socks for me or to give to a friend. The color is just so happy that I think it would give me happy feet to dance in. Oh, there’s another idea–I could make those heel-less and toe-less socks that I could wear for belly dancing. Dancing in my bare feet makes my feet hurt, and there’s still a chill in the floors…..

So hard to choose just one… but going to go with Kate. And I would make myself a bag from it. A smallish, slightly felted bag with fabric lining and a strap long enough to cross my chest. Yup.

Maeve and Devin are my favorites. Maeve would be sent to someone else to make me socks since I can’t stand knitting them myself- and Devin would be a to die for February Lady. I don’t even care that I already have a green FLS!

So hard to choose! But from the moment I saw Maura, she has intrigued me. Those colors just look so *good* together, and so sophisticated! I think I’d make my first shawl out of it so I could be wrapped all up in its gorgeousness!

The good news is that I already have the answer to this question…as long as I’m allowed to give 2 answers (and no, one of those answers isn’t “all of them,” although that could easily be true). But already coming home to me are:
Jack - I fell in love with the greens, but the yellow/orange/brown took me aback at first…and then I realized how much I loved all of those colors together. Jack will make a wonderful pullover for my son, once I find (or design) an appropriately wonderful pattern.
Kate - the pinks and browns are beautiful, but it’s that light lime green that makes it so much fun! Kate will be a cardigan (http://www.classiceliteyarns.com/WebLetter/81/Issue81.php) for my daughter.
Someday, I’ll figure out what I’m getting for ME…

I would love to take the colorway Jan home. What a knockout color combo, with that suprising warm tan mixed with blue. I can’t tell what weight yarn this is, so it’s hard to know what I’d make. Perhaps socks.

The one that caught my eye right away is Kate what a gorgeous combination of colors! With a majority of boys in the house pink is now one of my favorite colors
Depending on how much I have (since it’s a perfect knitting universe I’ll go with 16oz) lol I would knit myself a beautiful hat with a matching neck warmer. In my perfect knitting universe I’d already know how to knit socks so I’d knit myself a pair, What a wonderful way to keep myself warm in the winter!

But if I had to absolutely chose it would be Maguire,Fionn and Cara because they remind me of home and the crystal turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea and the waves lapping at my toes.

I would choose Erin for my best friend Kim who lives in Maine. It’s so cold there, I’d make her socks to keep her feet warm. She has so little and gives so much to the people at her church and at the nursing home where she works.

Picking just one is not easy.
In a perfect world I would turn Clare into a gorgeous cabled cardigan of some sort, although it would make me supremely nervous because I have never attempted anything that big and I would hate to mess up anything with that yarn. My practical side says I would turn it into a hat with hand warmers and then go somewhere where it is fall all the time.
On another note, I absolutely love the photographs. I can’t decide if the photographs or the yarns are more lovely. They are just amazing to look at.

I love these new colourways! Since I only knit socks, I know exactly what I would make, LOL! But the choice of colour isn’t quite so easy….my absolute favourites are Grady and Madigan, and I’d have trouble choosing between them. Runners-up are Jack, Cian, Maura, Maeve and Cameron. One day they’ll all be coming home with me…..

Wow, these are some gorgeous colorways! I would choose Maeve, but it’s hard to choose just one. I believe I would make fingerless gloves or perhaps some socks, but gloves would be better because it’s easier to stare at your hands all day than your feet.

Your lookbook is amazing and really shows off the yarn well.
These colors are inspiring, but I am particularly drawn to blue and yellow lately (hello Brady and Cian!). Like everyone else, I can now imagine a ton of lovely projects to make, but I’m leaning towards Jan as the square holes sweater by Iris Schreier.

It’s so difficult, they’re all gorgeous! I would have to choose Niall though. I’d make a tee shirt, tank top or a pair of Phoenix Mitts with it. Kieran would also be great for the Phoenix Mitts.

Maeve in the Wexford Silk just looks absolutely delicious….and I’d love to make a cozy cardigan, so I can wear it almost yearround in the micro-climates of northern california….
My second choice would be Kieran - perhaps because that’s my son’s middle name, or perhaps because I love warm orangely colors (or both)…..and it would have to become a hat for me, and sweater for him

I love the color combination of Maeve. In a perfect knitting ‘verse, I would make a simple shawl in either garter or stockinette to properly show off the colors. Of course, the shawl would be full sized to cover my arms. Then I’d make matching armwarmers.

I love Erin - what beautiful socks I would be wearing next St. Patrick’s day if I won that skein of yarn. Of course I would stop what I’m doing right now and get started on those socks so they will be ready when the weather changes. This was kind of hard, but I think my favorite is Maura, who I would knit into a sweater–Garbo by Connie Chang Chinchio. It’s a sweater and scarf in one, so I can cuddle and snuggle but still look like a grown up dressed for work. Or perhaps I would make her into a shawl. She would match everything.
I’m also strangely drawn to Jack, who would make a great Clapotis for me or a Wonderful Wallaby for the baby boy I have not had yet.

Oh, they are so beautiful! So hard to choose just one. I love Maguire and have been thinking of using just that color for the Gathered Pullover. But I also want Erin for socks, and Niall for Mr. Greenjeans. Actually, there wasn’t a single colorway that I didn’t like in the lot.

Maguire is amazing — I love the simplicity, and blues/greens are my super-favoritest! Fionn is a close second, but in this case I think I like the darker version a bit better.
It would become a very pretty drop-stitch scarf that I saw recently on Ravelry (I haven’t tried doing drop-stitch yet, but I think I can probably handle it by now). I’m still a novice knitter, but I’m slowly working my way up!
I’d also like to say that ALL of your colorways are amazing, and making us choose just one is like torture! ^_^

I liked Jack as it was a combination of two of the colorways I liked best. It reminded me of a pumpkin growing on a vine. Think I would use it for some colorwork - a kettle-dyed base and this as the color work - something with a flower motif.

Oh, man. I have to choose just one? Well, someone up there picked four… and going through and being VERY picky, I find I can also get my list down to four! So many of these colorways are so lovely!
Kieran wants to be a fiery lace shawl, knitted on larger needles and blocked within an inch of its life. A mantilla, maybe?
Ian would be a snug winter hat, either plain stockinette to show off the pooling or fancy texturework to break it up and make the colors interplay.
Grady is a sproingy cowl and elbow-length mittens in mistake rib, possibly double-stranded.
Cian is so gorgeous I’d probably just keep it in my stash to stare at and pet! No, I’ve got it. I’d make lace curtains for my room, which is blue with red-brown woodwork. It’d go perfectly.

The colors are beautiful and it is difficult to pick one.

It would certainly be Maura coming home with me. The subtlety is just lovely. And she would become the kind of cardigan you keep with you everywhere, almost a security blanket, not caring if she went with your outfit.

That’s a really tough question! While I can see myself knitting all sorts of things out of the new colorways, what I’d really, really love is to make Amused by Jordana Paige (with long sleeves) in Clare (preferably in the wexford merino silk base). But there are so many other colors that I would love to use for socks and soakers. It made it hard to decide. Thanks for having this contest!

These are all gorgeous! I’d have to say Madigan, then Maeve caught my fancy first. Right now I have a “thing” for browns blended with bright colors. Since handknit sweaters don’t get so much wear here in FL, I’d likely do a fun scarf, with these.

I love many of the new colors, and have already ordered a bunch, but most surprising is that I love Cameron! I don’t usually like warm colors, especially orange and yellow, but I would wear something in this color….maybe a lacy scarf.

Picking one is tough–I like them all. Seriously. There’s not a clunker in the bunch!
That said, I’m going with Kate, which has pretty much every one of my favorite colors. Since I’m sock-obsessed, my first inclination would be to make socks, but I think it would also make a nice scarf or winter wrap. I really like bright, cheery colors for wintertime accessories.

I really love Maura. Those are definitely my colors. But this time of year, when winter is draggin on and on…. I would choose Kieran. You feel warmer inside just from looking at it. I would knit a pair of socks for all the cold days I stand around watching my kids’ hockey games.

Only one colorway? It’s awfully close between Grady, Cameron & Maura, but I guess Maura. It would probably become a sweater, because I like knitting sweaters best. Maybe a lacy sweater. I think variegated yarn looks good in lace.

I would choose Cameron and I would make pretty armwarmers I could wear while knitting in bed or outside when it is chilly. I would have to knit something quick and simple so I could really see the colors and wear it as soon as possible.

I just love the colors of Brady, Connor, Cameron, and Kieran. But if just having to choose one, it would be Connor.
My eldest is a Konnor and I LOVE the colorway associated with it. I would want to knit him a sweater out of it. A nice crew neck pullover with set in sleeves. His fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes would make it impossible for even the non-knitters not to drool. Then again, maybe I don’t want to make it for him…..

I love Maguire, Fionn, and Cara. I’m thinking sweater. Pullover. Maybe some cables, but with the emphasis on the colors of the yarn. Nothing too crazy.
Alternatively, Niall really gets me. Again, sweater. For me, of course. With Niall, I’d do something plain and let the yarn shine. Long sleeves.
You might notice that I tend to accumulate yarn with no more plan than “sweater, eventually.” But it’s all good. Someday.

I would have to choose Kieran over Cian, but it would be close. I’d knit myself a cropped cardigan with lace insert panels or a simple cable decoration, and a pair of mitts, a hat, and a scarf to match, so I could work in style at my computer in the cold winter, and look great walking down to the village pub on my break.

Maura is beautiful. I personally love Kate but my daughter’s name is Claire (with an I in it) and she would love something made out of Clare. Maybe some socks or an adorable scarf? Maybe a clapotis because she has been asking for one and her birthday is coming up in May. She is quite enthusiastic about the things I knit for her, so it would definitely be worth it! I just love Cameron. It has all the colors I wear - red, orange, yellow and green. Goes great with the blonde hair. If there’s enough for a scarf, that is what I would do, so all could see. If not, socks make me happy, too.

I think I’d pick Jack. It’s perfectly earthy and vibrant at the same time. I’d get it on something ultra squishy, maybe galenas or elenya…. I’d knit a ginormous throw that I can cuddle with every single day of my life. With cables, lots of fat cables. It’d be big enough for me and dh, or just me. I’d make a pillow to match, and my couch would be their home. Mmmm.

I would make the Forest Canopy shawl out of “Cameron”.

But the one(s) I’d like to bring home would be the triplets Maguire, Fionn, and Cara.
I have this design in mind, a batik inspired summer top, and these are exactly the color combination I imagined.

Wow! I love Kieran and Devin! I like greens a lot, but Kieran is so appealing right now! If I had them, I think I’d make a lace shawl like the Fountain Pen Shawl(in IK ‘09). Or something very lacey. Awesome photos!

Oooh…do I be selfish, or not? Well, if I’m not being selfish, I’d take Erin and make something for my mom. She’s been really supportive of my efforts at crocheting (I just learned in October). If I’m being selfish, I’d take Grady and make myself something cool…something fun…socks maybe. Oh, those would be cool socks!

Jack is my favorite hands down! I already bought a skein that’s coming to live with me. I also totally think Ian rocks and would be a totally rockin pair of longies for my son (Jackson).
I would also totally love Grady. It reminds me of chocolate and caramel! I also will need to get Cian. I’m not a big yellow fan, but that colorway totally speaks to me!
I love almost all of them! And you’ve made yarn buying quite a challenge at this point!

I couldn’t pick one so here are my two favorites, which are Clare and Alana.
with Claire I would make a sexy corsety like tank to showcase the reds and pinks
With Alana I would make a more delicate summer top to fit the softer smoother color.

If I had to pick just one, it would be Cian. Its so beautiful, sunny and happy. I want to just wrap myself from head to toe in that yarn so that means I would knit a hat, scarf, mitts, a sweater, oh and of course socks. lol!

It would have to be Maura because coming from the island of Ireland and living near to the Glens Of Antrim it reminds me of the green green grass of home. I would knit a beautiful cabled sweater with this yarn as the Irish are famous for doing.

The Brady & Connor makes me want to design a sweater — front and back of Connor, with sleeves and borders of Brady. Geometric and stunning. Lots of fun to wear.
Ciara is gorgeous. Would dress up my living room with a pillow cover and the kitchen with a felted tea cozy.

Maeve. Definitely Maeve. All of my favorite colors wrapped up into one skein of yummy yarn. I would like at least ten skeins of it so that I could knit a huge blanket and wrap myself up in Maeve all the time. WIth I just one skein of beautiful, lovely Maeve, I would probably knit a cowl or mittens so that I could have it around me all the time.

What a difficult decision! I keep going back to Maura though - i saw the photo in the ‘beautiful pictures of yarn’ thread on ravelry a few days ago and fell in love then - with the yarn and the uniqueness of the photo! A scarf made from Maura would go perfectly with my olive green spring jacket.

Devin, I’d have to say. It’s such a Springy green, and I’ve got Spring surging through my veins now that we have rain and grass instead of snow around here! It would definitely become a lacy, slouchy beret - a nice light hat for Spring. Want.
That said, there are so many other lovely colorways, it was almost a shame to pick the one.

I am drawn to the idea of knitting a gift for a person with his/her named yarn…So, a poncho (her request) for my daughter with “Clare,” a thick, bulky vest for my father-in-law with “Jack” for when he goes to the mountains, and a prayer shawl for my brother- in-law and sister-in-law who lost a baby named “Kieran.”

Oh my goodness Cian is the most beautiful yellow yarn I have ever seen. I have loved yellow since I was a child and have been looking for a shade of yellow that would make me immediately happy … yours did it. I love it. I think I would make mittens with it; why? Because my 6 year old just challenged me to learn and make her a pair and what would be better on a cold miserable day but sunny, warm, happy Cian mittens!

My favorite (I love them all) is Clare. I don’t think you could’ve more accurately created my favorite color if you asked me. It has beautiful depth and richness; I love it.
I would make an intricate lace shawl with this yarn. I love the depth of hand painted yarn in shawl patterns.

Well, even though my middle name is Maeve, and I have already fallen in love with Clare, Alana, Cian, Maura and Grady, I would have to go with Jack. My husband is getting ready to deploy overseas for God knows how long and I would like to make him some tall socks to brighten his dreary olive drab and tan world. Its such a lovely combination of greens, browns, golden yellows and oranges.

Maguire, Fionn & Cara - any of those is a lovely shade for a cabled cardigan. I just am not sure there would be enough! But soooo lovely. Just the right punch of color for gray pittsburgh.
Niall - a pair of socks for my mother in law.
Cian - I would use to make Wendy Johnson’s new sunflower socks as soon as the pattern is available. Such a vibrant yellow! My mother would love this.

Ok, that was too hard, but I think Maeve won out though Grady, Jack and Cameron were in the running. I would most likely knit it into a beautiful pair of plain vanilla socks or with a very simple stitch pattern, but it would definitely become socks with the leftovers possibly becoming a snail a la Mochimochi Land.

Jack - socks in either a chevron or feather and fan type pattern, or a slip stitch pattern. Or else a bright scarf to cheer up a winter coat. It would be so pretty in a lot of things!

I would chose Alana because of the earthy pinks. I have had this idea of making butterfly/fairy wings with yarn for my daughter for a while (crochet) and this color would give it the perfect woodsy look I want. I don’t want to give too much away about how I am going to do it because once I figure it out I will be selling the pattern.

If I had to pick one, I would say Cameron - and I would make a pair of longies for my newborn due in June. We don’t know gender and this one is gender neutral, bright, and would match a bunch of cloth diapers and shirts!

I am a felted bag designer, I would use them to make on of my bag even more special. I’m thinking my 1/2 and 1/2 Bag would be be gorgeous. I would use a solid color to play along with the stunning Jack.

I love almost all the colourways (except the orange one, no offence, I just can’t wear orange without looking jaundiced)
Love the deep colours of the look book, very interesting combos in Jack, Kate & Conor, lovely greens in Devin & Erin.
Depending on the yarn weight I’d either knit up some soakers, scarves/beanies or shawls.
Clare caught my eye almost immediately.
It looks like a 4-ply so I would use it for a shawl or something lacy.
In DK weight I would buy 3-4 skeins to knit the Ridinghood sweater.

I would go with kate or clare. I love any thing with violets, reds, and pinks! I would knit a beret/tam with kate alternating each end and a sock with pretty lace patterns with clare.

I was just going through my yarn stash and realized I have too many varrigated sock yarns… and I was thinking ‘I need to get some more ’solid’ colors!’
So in my perfect knitting world~ I would of course knit socks! xD But to be more specific~ a detailed beautiful intricate cabled or lace pattern, because the ’solid’ color of this yarn would show through!

It’s so hard to choose, but I think I like Kieran the best. I recently bought the pattern for the faux-gyle socks, and I think the suble shading of Kieran would suit that pattern well.

Yum, yum! They are all so bright and lovely, but without a doubt it’s Alana that takes my heart.
And I would make a simple, fitted, hooded cardigan with small ebony buttons and two front pockets. And seed stitch or doubled cuffs.

Maura is the one that absolutely took my breath away.
I’d make a simple triangular scarf, in silk and merino. I’d work it from the top down, use a really easy lace stitch. Then I’d use a beaded bind off with a solid colored yarn, for a contrasting edge with a dash of bling.

Currently my heart is going out for Erin. She is pleading with me to come to my knitting studio and be lovingly worked up into a gorgeous pair of socks. I’m leaning towards one with a wavy, watery twisted stitch pattern so really highlight the blues and greens in the colorway!
If I could pick more than one, well, Connor, Cameron, and Maura have already been chosen by me and will arrive at my house in a few weeks. So that would mean I’d add Kieran, Cian, Brady, and Kate. Yummy sock madness!

ok i’ve had food poisoning today, and although i’m feeling loads better i’m only semi coherent, so bear with me (and my spelling, which deteriorates tons when i’m sick).
the choices are all soooo beautiful, but if i absolutely had to pick i’d choose niall. we know i’m a sucker for blues & purples, and this colorway is so rich. i love it.
and in an ideal knitting universe i’d make the fountain pen shawl from the spring 09 interweave. this is what my friends and i would call “absolutely gorgey”.

There are none I would be unhappy with, though if I was picking just 1 it would have to be Devin. The greens have just enough variation to give great texture and in a perfect knitting worls I would make organic & leaf detailed fingereless gloves and a neckwarmer for biking on cooler days in the spring.
I’m very impressed with they dying.

The color combinations of your yarn are superb as is the photography.
My favorite is Cameron. I love the spiciness of it. It reminds me of a photo of an Indian spice market I saw.

My choice would be Devin as it is a healthy colour of balance.
I would knit the softest, most comforting and protective of blankets in which to envelop the most precious - the premature baby.
I choose Devin for for its aesthetic and evocative qualities and I would knit a paradise of clothes for preemies in these luscious shades of green as green is the symbol of hope, growth, regeneration, fertility and rebirth.
Green is the color of nature, fertility, life and is a most restful color which symbolises well being and harmony.
The harmonious strata of colour within Devin epitomises the master healer and the powerful life force of energy and it’s variegated qualities change and transform colours to signify a necessity for growth - the complete power of the colour green, my favourite.

After much deliberation, I’m going to pick Jack, with Devin running a close second. Jack would be made into a pair of arm warmers with some sort of textured pattern - baubles and ribs maybe? I’m thinking of something like the Belladonna Sleeves from the AntiCraft book, but shorter and a little more understated. Just a little, mind you - I don’t really do understated very well.

Oh, those are beautiful colorways — I don’t think there’s one I don’t like.
I think Devin and Niall are my favorites; I think I’d make a February Lady sweater with either one of them. But then Devin might also look really pretty as some Bavarian twisted stitch fingerless gloves too.
I really like Kieran too — I think it would make a beautiful lacy wrap.

Alana is the best. So gentle & pink. I would make a cowl or a tiny triangular shawl to tie around my neck. It would bring back the blush in the cheeks that dissapeared over the long, cold winter. This is the colour of spring!

I don’t even know how any fiber lover can choose just one colourway. That is by far one of the best yarn displays/catalogues/books I’ve seen.
I would love to do a simple, stockinette cardigan (with ribbed edges, and perhaps a lace panel along the bottom) in the Devin colourway. It is fresh, and very appropriate for Spring! If I didn’t have enough for a cardigan, some leafy armwarmers would be wonderful as well.

I think I fell in love with each one of them, but Jan is the one I want to take home and pet. It’s the bright orange in a sea of blue that made me smile.
If the skein is unending (or if I could have more than one skein), I would knit myself a cabled cardigan with it.

Oh, okay… if I had to pick just one, it would be… um… Maura. They’re all lovely, but Maura strikes me as the quiet kid in the bunch. The one who’d rather sit in the corner and read and is admired as “such a well-behaved child.”
Not to mention that this colorway would make a lovely Baltic Sea Stole.
But that’s just me.

Kieran is the clear winner here. The colors of saffron and turmeric and brick bring to mind warm summer evenings. This yarn begs to be a Luna Moth shawl, draped around one’s shoulders while sitting against a log by the firepit on the beach.

I’ve looked at the book over and over, and I keep changing my mind. I love Maguire, and while I have a lot of great handpaints in my sock stash I realize more and more I love the look of a great semisolid. However, Kate matches my name and is a lovely color….And Grady makes me think of a cold glass of Guiness Stout. Decisions, decisions. The lookbook is breathtaking, and I hope you do one every time you release a new collection.

They all are exquisite, absolutely gorgeus. I love them all, but my top two are Kieran, Grady and kate. Kieran reminds me of a sunset. I would make an elegant lacy like shrug with this one with a matching purse to be worn with chocalate brown dress or jeans. Kate reminds me of a jar full of candy, bright lucious colors that make you want to grab a hand full. This one would be a hat, scarf and gloves. Grady reminds me of my favorite drink and my favority drink additive. A tall hot cup of coffee with caramel sauce and whipped cream. The pictures are beautiful, like something out of a fine living magazine. I’ve never used hand dyed yarn before either. This is so exciting.
I love that pretty pink blue and green one, Kate, on page 5. I’ve always mixed browns with red tones, but I’ve never thought of adding green. How pretty.
I’d most definately use this to knit a purse, coffee cozy, and wristwarmers. Coco beans, with a spash of color. Love it!

Brady, in something lacy w/ little bit of subtle cabling to create a stole that looks like a rippling stream.
Oh, and when it comes to odds, if you’re giving away 20 skeins 20/100 is the same as 1/5. The difference is that in a pool of 100 you have 20 shots of winning something with bad odds, rather than 1 shot at winning something with good odds. Statistically, it’s exactly the same; mentally, most prefer getting that extra shot, no matter what the odds.

All so beautiful. But Erin just jumps out at me and the others pale in comparison. Maybe it’s because it just looks like spring and summer to me- and I am over the winter!
I would so love to make a light, lacy little vest with it. Something to really evoke bright spring/summer days and the greens and colors popping out everywhere.

I would pick Jack and make a big shawl. I’d swatch to see what lacy or solid pattern would compliment the colors. It is such an unusual color combination, so unexpected, but it works brilliantly. A true head-turner. But, really, this was a very hard choice to make. I loved most of the colors, and it was a hard choice between Jack, Cameron, Kieran, Alana, and Maura.

My word, such awesome yarns!!! I’d take a whole pile of them if I could, but my top choice is the first one, the lovely Erin, followed closely by Jack. Erin would make a fabulous lace scarf for everyday wear and it contains such fabulous hues of green and teal. But they’re all gorgeous!

I think I would pick Jack or Alana because they are a very different pallette than I usually pick for my projects. They would be used for a pair of finger-less gloves which I wear everyday to work in my garden. And if there is any left over, probably a pair of peds for my garden clogs!

What absolutely gorgeous photographs! All of the colors are lovely, and I had a hard time narrowing it down. There are 3 pages that just stood out to me-
Kieran- for a lacy shawl
Cian- for an extremely cheerful pair of cabled socks
and the trio of Maguire, Fionn and Cara (you can’t break them up- they look so perfect together) for a cuddly gradual color changing sweater

So many of these colors speak to me but I love Maura for its softness, like a misty morning when the colors are muted. I would make a hooded cape or a hooded sweater so I could blend into the forest. I also love Jack for its bright interplay of color. I would make a cheerful cardigan to warm me on a cold winter day.

I’d have to say Alana and Devin are my two favorites (together, the names sound like a soap opera couple!).

Maura and Devin. I am honestly 100% torn between the two. I have been wanting to make the clapotis from knitty for a while, but have been searching for colorways that I think would look best with my style of clothing, and I think either would just be glorious. I like then each for different reasons, but both because although Devin is quite vibrant, they are both very natural at the same time. I would enjoy knitting either because in their own way would suit my wardrobe nicely, whether I am feeling in a more subdued mood (Maura) or a feisty energetic mood (Devin).
All of the yarn, though, is GORGEOUS. The photography is phenomenal!

As always the greens are my favorites, so Erin is pretty high up there, Devin is pretty, I wouldn’t push Jack out of my knitting basket…but then there is MAURA and she is just leaving me speechless….to hold her…to have enough to knit a sweater….I can smell the lavender and the moss and a hint of fresh peppemint…A PIECE OF ART!!

Maura is all the colors I gravitate towards, but I’m trying to branch out. That’s the one I would grab first, carry around for a while, then talk myself in to buying it and something a little broader.
Maeve looks like she wants to be a diagonal eyelet sock. That’s the skein I would buy with Maura and probably knit sooner. But Maura is my first love.
As for what I would make with Maura, probably a Seaweed Sock or some other mostly stockinette lace pattern to show off the lovely colors with their similar values. Fun contest!

Considering that I am still a beginner knitter…in my “real world” I would make my daughter a new blanket. She is starting to outgrow her pastel baby blankets and needs a big girl blanket with big girl colors!

I would have to say Maeve! I live right on the beach on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The brown represents the sand, the teal the water and then the other colors are similar to the inside of seashells. Just beautiful!! I would probably make a pair of socks and then think of something else, too!

I love Jack beyond belief. I’d pair the colorway with a white wool and make one awesome striped cardigan, complete with hood and pockets. The stripes would be of varying widths in a non repeating pattern, and the hems, button bands, etc would be solid Jack, with some kind of textured stitch thrown in, like moss. That would be awesomeawesomeawesome.

I loved the Grady colorway. Normally, my favorite color is orange and I tend to really shy away from browns and yellows. Something about this colorway is just amazing. I knew immediately that this is the color for me!
In an ideal world where I could have as much as I wanted, I would make a blanket out of this yarn. It’s gorgeous. I would make one giant mitered square afghan and love it for the rest of my life. If I do win, I’ll only have one, and I’d probably use it to make my step mom a hat or scarf. These colors are totally her, and it’d be nice to give her something so special.

Hi never been on your site before but wow!! what lovely colours…in fact too many nice ones that make picking just one iis so difficult. But as I am from Northern Ireland I must go with the ‘Erin’ wool. Such lovely shades of green and I would have to knit a scarf or some gloves to go with a teal coat I got in the january sales. Definitely still must have items for chilly days out walking in the countryside. xxx

They are all completely gorgeous but if I had to pick just one colorway it’d have to be Maeve. I’d probably knit a pair of either Leyburn or Crusoe socks, something with slipped stitches to show off those amazing colors!

I absolutely love the colorway, “Erin.” Khaki, olive green and blues are my favorite colors (they make my hair look even redder)!

Niall would come with me (well temporarily). My mom was recently diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer. February 9th she had a mastectomy and in 3 weeks she starts Chemotherapy. Niall is her “colors” (her whole house is blue…), so I would knit it into as many little noggin covers for her as I could get out it.

I just love Erin. Green being my favourite colour but this reminds me of the sea. I think something like a shawl would be ideal but would have to evoke feelings of the sea in the design. Beads to enhance or look like water drops. Very ethereal!

It was very hard to choose just one, but I finally did it after looking at the spring lookbook for almost an hour! I have a newborn son and would make a bulletproof wool soaker for him out of the colorway Jack.

I’m a green girl, and so both Erin and Devin called to me like the siren song of a selkie. However, there’s just something about the men in your life, isn’t there? Brady & Conner kind of make me lustful. I never knew blue could be so wonderful until I saw those two paired together. Jack comes flying out at me though, with his peacock-like tail. His tiger-lily beauty is gorgeous too, and I’d never mind taking him home as well.
In a perfect world, Brady, Conner and Jack would all comes live at my house, where I’d sit eating grapes while petting them all day.
But this isn’t a fantasy. In reality, Jack would be made of McClellan Fingering, and his hint of bamboo would make him a perfect lacy shawl to wrap around myself on cool summer nights. Actually, if he was made of any fingering weight yarn I’d be happy.

I always feel silly entering these things, just because I feel like I’m asking for “something for nothing”, but the colors are just so beautiful and appear to be just what I’ve been searching for.. I expect that I’ll be placing an order soon!
I have been dying to make somethng for one of my daycare boys who is having an especially hard time right now. His mother has had many health problems for years and has recently been in and out of the hospital constantly.. the boy himself, Liam, is 2 and a half and is constantly going in and out of doctors offices for tests himself. (He shakes constantly and gets hives..)
At first I thought - I will knit something for the mother. But the mother is the sort who is happier to see her little one receive a gift.. I, therefore, would like to knit socks for Liam.
Why socks? Because Liam’s the only child in the daycare center that ever keeps his on, and if they even begin to slip off of his feet, he starts to get upset, saying his feet are cold. Socks, therefore, are a must for little Liam.
The color I would pick for this is Devin.
I choose Devin because it screams spring and happiness to me.. a color like that is, clearly, the best for any occasion, but especially when attempting to brighten someone elses day.

What a difficult decision. I have it narrowed down to 6 after 4 views of the pictures. Cian interests me because it’s so beautiful and it’s a color I never consider buying. The others are beautiful colors but in colorways that I am generally drawn to:
devin, niall, connor, jack, madigan. I’m not sure how to narrow this down to one. Cian would be perfect for the sunray cowl or shawl.
And I’d love to try making the orca tale scarf with connor.

I love Naill because blue and purple are my favorite colors. I would make socks and/or sweaters for my myself. I love knitting for my granddaughters which I do all the time, but it is time for me to make something for myself for a change. But if I got real ambitious I would make the 3 of us something.

I would just totally LOVE Kieran…it’s just the colour of happiness… I don;t know what I’d make, a sweater probably…just something for ME!

It is so hard to choose only one! They are all beautiful! But after looking back 4 times I had to narrow it down to my favorite colors and that would mean it has to be hands down….Cameron. As for what I would make? Maybe a wrap for myself as I would HAVE to make something that I could wrap myself up in the YUMMY colors!

Clare - definitely, Clare. And not just because my brandnew granddaughter is named Claire. I love the rich red and crave a cardigan made of it. And it definitely does not hurt that the name reminds me of Sweet Little Miss Claire!

So hard to make a decision! I loved Maeve, and Madigan looks fun! but I’ve chosed Kate, it looks lovely and it’s my name…. I’d make something for my daughter - some longies or a jacket or a shrug….

Way too many beautiful combinations! I’d probably choose Maura, I love the subtle colorway and would make a sweater or shawl and definitely socks. Getting hooked on socks and mitts!
Then there is Maeve and Madigan, and Jack. Jack has that Yin Yang thing going on!

Decisions,Decisions! Wow, they are all beautiful, but I would take Clare first. I think it would look gorgeous as either a Shetland Triangle or a Swallowtail shawl, and that color is very complimentary.

oh my to pick ONE! all of them are lovely but three are totally irresistiible……….. Brady and Connor, Clare and Cian are calling out to me so loudly..how can i pick one?
but if I can only bring one of them home then I guess it will be Cian…and having just started on lace knitting… I am dreaming large, lacy, knit shawls. oooooH! I can just feel myself knitting

Oh Sharon, how can anyone choose just one? Each one has it’s own exquisite charm, and they all call to me.
I would love to unwind at the end of the day with a shawl made with Maeve. That’s always been one of my favorite names, and somehow the colors suit that name. The rich lilac, teal, and chartreuse mixture reminds me of the desert Sierras in Spring just before sunset, when the last gleam of sunlight lights up the new sagebrush blooming on the distant mountain. When I lived in the west, that was a time I always enjoyed–the day unwinding and the night unfolding; a time when everything grew quiet and still.
(But I want to wear Grady on my toes this Winter, and to wrap up on a scarf made from Erin this Fall, and slip into a shrug of Jack this Summer, and make sweaters from the rest to chase away the chill in my classroom all year).

Clare… or Maguire. It would depend on my mood. I love Clare… she is gorgeous in her deep saturated hue. But Maguire is much more like spring… and it’s been a looooong winter! Something bright and pretty might be just the thing.
What would I make… some type of sweater or top. Clare would make a lovely snuggly hooded cardi to curl up into. Maguire… in a sport weight… could make a stylish spring top.
Apparently I am caught between seasons…

How on earth could you expect someone to choose just one?? Everyone of those deliciously photographed colours begs to be favourited!!
Greens call out my name whenever I see them - so obviously Erin would need to become a pair of socks … It would have to be a very special pair of socks !
But then again I *heart* the colour saturation in Clare and could see myself wearing that in a February Lady sweater to brighten up the dreary winter gloom.
And as for Kieran and Alana - wouldn’t thay be fabulous as Forest Canopy Shawls?? A different look for autumn days and warm spring evening.
They are all really beautiful - I hope they go to good homes who will knit them wisely with passion and adoration.

Love Niall - the blues are just my style. But right now? Now, in the spring, I’d really love to be knitting some spring socks, one of the leafy lace patterns, maybe… and I think the Erin would be just the ticket.

Niall calls to me in the most purpley amazing way. I’m a big fan of most things purple and I like the mix of the deep blue and the purple.
This colorway could make a wonderful scarf or shawl, or a pair of lacy fingerless gloves… but anything is possible with this coloration.

OK, never before has looking at yarn brought a tear to my eye but when I saw Jack, my eyes teared up. When I was a teenager back in the 70s, my dad had a plaid sportscoat with blues & greens that he wore with a butter-colored polo shirt and brown slacks - and you guessed it, his name was Jack.
In a perfect universe, I’d be knitting him some socks with it, but since he’s no longer with us, I’m thinking of a scarf for me - something I can wear and remind me of him.

I am in LUST with the colour combinations! It’s VERY difficult to choose just one but after much consideration I go with Maeve. It is just so YUMMY!!! In a perfect world of knitting I would make the most fabulous purse with it and a pair of opera length gloves.

I once knit with a yarn I referred to as “liquid stained glass”. This yarn immediately made me think of the light coming off of stained glass, as it hangs in the dust motes or morning mist. The ghost of stained glass.
So, Maura would make a lovely little capelet to wear in the spring, fall, and cool summer nights.

I have always loved Maeve, and it’s my favorite of the ones in the lookbook. (The publication is gorgeous, btw.) If I had all the time in the world, I’d love to make a big cuddly blanket that my little boy and I could curl up under and read stories together.

I have never seen such an array of beautiful colors. I would probably knit up something for each of my niece and nephews so they could enjoy too. (and don’t forget Mom, she’d love something from this collection). Since my name is Kate, I certainly have to choose “Kate”. Plus I think its absolutely gorgeous!

My mother recently lost her father whose name was Jack. As she is not allowed to wear new clothes in her year of mourning, I would make her a hairband with the yarn of the same name. It would be something nice for her in her time of grief, and a lovely tribute to my warm and colourful grandfather.

Devin: the shade(s) of green reminds me of my mom, whom I have been missing alot lately: she died of breast cancer Sept 2007. I am not sure what i would make - i would have to ask for help from my prayer shawl friends.

I adore Cian! Here in Oregon where gray winters can be so long, I would make a lovely warm shawl out of this colorway. It reminds me of aspen trees up in the mountains, and would brighten up the long winter days.
Ordinarily I don’t knit with a lot of yellow/gold, but this one is amazing and is calling to me….

Kieran for me - I’d use it for a sweater for my son ’cause he looks fantastic in those colours. I don’t know how I’d manage to restrain myself, but I think I’d wait until September, then find a lake somewhere in the Canadian shield. I’d plonk myself down by it and start knitting - ’cause Kieran reminds me of those glorious fall colours…I know, I know, this is the SPRING collection!

I’ve been admiring your yarn in Ravelry ads for so long!
I can’t decide between Erin and Cian ; because Erin has all the colors I love in one skein, and Cian because I’ve recently acquired a love of all things gold/yellow.
What I make depends on the yarn…with Erin, I would definitely make a top or sweater of some sort…maybe a lace summer tee. With Cian, an accessory, like cabled gloves.

First I have to compliment you on all of your beautiful yarns! Thanks for luring me over here, I am drooling over my keyboard by now…
As to the yarn, I have two favourites.
The first would be Erin, which would be the touch of spring in my outfit for the next months- I’d make some fingerless gloves and a nice beret, which in Holland can be worn for quite some time into May
The other one is Niall, with which I’d love to do a shrug, to compliment one of my summer dresses for those cooler evenings. I think the colour is just stunning, and will help the make-shift solution to look like the perfect combination.

I love the photography. I’d have to say Keiran is the colourway I find most appealing (though all are lovely). From a single skein I’d probably make a scarf with a candle light lace pattern: enough blank areas to show off the yarn, but something more than just a plane of fabric.

Goodness! Just one? I truly love each and every one but to pick only one - I would choose Niall, the combination of blue and purple is sophisticated, classic /timeless to be knit up as a stole - no a cowl - no socks - no….
